forget all these talk about fake certificate (which you have not provided any concrete proof of).
People like GEJ with genuine certificates are no better than this guy in any shape or form.
all the folks with fake papers that have been unearthed in the past what came out of the cases?
the Lagos speaker's case,how far?
there have been certified thieves and drug dealers in the NASS,yet they have made laws for law abiding citizens to abide by. The irony of it all is lost on us.

in a free and fair election,90% of the chairmen and councillors in Lagos have no business winning re-election.
the winners might be as bad but i can't see why the electorates will reward ineptitude with re-election.
Politics › Re: Tinubu Worse Than Abacha And IBB – Obanikoro by mbulela: 8:45am On Oct 31, 2011
they are all the same.
ACN,PDP,APGA etc.
no difference.
don't be deceived. the stories Koro is telling in Lagos is the same story being told by opposition parties in Rivers State, Abia,Benue and Akwa Ibom states.
the fact that corruption remains a lucrative venture makes power a do or die matter in this environment.
the case of Lagos only seems unique because Tinubu is running a one man show.
How decent men/women feel comfortable in his company baffles me.

this man does not strike me as a particularly intelligent fellow.
Where does he think he is?China?
censorship will take away the voice of the people and will quicken a revolt in the polity.
next thing he will asking NASS for another 6 billion to implement Internet filter and control.
The same way he asked for and got billions to register SIMs even after operators were doing exact same thing at no charge to the country.

A return ticket to Australia costs around 210k and that is economy.
it is certain most of these clowns did not travel econonomy,Busines class is around 750k.
A room at the Hilton in Perth costs approximately AUD600 for a night.
i have not factored in the estacode etc.
What the bloody hell are 170 (120) clowns doing there?
did you see the speech by the minister who spoke in place of GEJ who was missing in action?
which sane person would be swayed by that speech fit for an Alcohol Anonymous meeting? No specifics, just rambling around the bush.
yetthat clown must have gone with his Perm Sec, his SA, SSA, PA, special assistant on Media, wife, 2 traditional rulers from his state and probably the Minister of state in his ministry.

Not forgetting the fact that these clowns arrived Sydney and Perth days before Gillard the host arrived Perth from Canberra the capital city to receive her guests. She arrived on the 25th evening but these clowns have been in town since the begining of the week.

Yet someone is preaching subsidy removal.
Forget he technicalities of subsidy removal.it is not even paramount. as long as this govt does not take visible steps to address the cost of governance and the waste therein,it does not have the moral right to even talk about subsidy removal.
if it is that subsidy that will sink this country,as sunk as it is,let it be.

Politics › Goodbye Goodluck, But Nigerian Show Goes On by mbulela(op): 9:43pm On Oct 27, 2011
BY: AMANDA O'BRIEN From: The Australian October 28, 2011 12:00AM

THE mysterious non-appearance of Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan at a packed CHOGM forum yesterday where he was scheduled to outline his country's mining potential, failed to stop his delegation launching a strong bid for investors to get on board.

Nigeria has one of the biggest delegations with more than 120 people and its towering President with his distinctive black hat has cut an imposing figure at the business forum all week.

But there was no explanation yesterday when he failed to appear for two scheduled speeches.

Nigerian Mines and Steel Minister Musa Mohammed Sada took his place, declaring Nigeria "the last frontier" for mineral exploration in west Africa as he touted for investors.

Mr Sada said substantial mining was happening in all the neighbouring countries as "big-time mining companies" recognised their mineral worth, and Nigeria wanted to join in.

"There is no scientific reason to say that such resources are not also existing in Nigeria, if not even better," he said. "We have also been endowed with the right quantities of these minerals."

He said Nigeria had identified seven "world-class" commodities, including coal, iron ore and gold.

He said coal reserves were estimated at more than 2.7 billion tonnes, iron ore more than 3bn tonnes and one gold findwith an estimated 600,000 million ounces.

Mr Sada said the government had initiated reforms to help break down investment barriers.

imagine over 300 delegates to the CHOGM meeting in Perth??
Yet even the host govt has less representatives. Prime Minister Gillard arrives perth on the 26th to receive her visitors yet GEJ and his band of clowns arrived days before the host arrived town.
What are those 300 people doing in Perth?
Until this govt addresses the wantom waste it is indulging in, i do not expect any sane person to listen to any subsidy removal.
If it is the subsidy that will collapse this collapsing economy, let it be.
This govt has no moral right to preach subsidy removal, until it earns that right, the subsidy should remain.

Politics › Re: Nigeria’s Constitution Is A Fraud - Fashola by mbulela: 8:56am On Oct 27, 2011
djustice:
This ediiot is talking about fraudhuh Wonders shall never end!!

Fashola siphons from the joint State/LG account. The LGs get only about 20% of their Federal Allocations! This is a FACT. Plus, they're not allowed to collect any of the funds guaranteed them under Fourth Schedule of the Constitution, namely:

1. Private Houses and Tenements Fourth Schedule Part 1 (j) (Tenement Rate, now called Land Use Charge in Lagos State and collected by the state)

2. Waste Disposal: Now collected by LAWMA, an unconstitutional body, existing in direct contradiction of Fourth Schedule Part 1(h)

3. Abbatoirs: Collected by the state in direct contravention of Fourth Schedule Part 1(e)

4. Control and Regulation of Outdoor Advertising and hoarding: Collected by LASAA in direct contravention of Fourth Schedule Part 1(k)i

5. Control and Regulation of Shops and Kiosks, restaurants, bakeries and other places of sale of food to the public; and licensing control and regulation of the sale of liquor (last two includes hotels): All controlled and regulated in Lagos State, under all sorts of different charges, levies, fees and taxes charged directly by the state, in direct contravention of the Fourth Schedule Part 1(k) iii-vi

Fashola and Tinubu are collecting all these revenues, and when you ask, they'll say the Constitution empowers the State House of Assembly to make laws for the Local Governments, and all they are doing is within the ambit of Lagos State Law. However, Lagos State law cannot be and is not under any circumstances superior to the constitution, and where there are conflicts between the two, the constitution prevails. The same constitution, in the same Fourth Schedule, Part 1(d), says that the State House of Assembly may confer more functions in addition to the ones listed on Local Governments in their domain. Nowhere in the Constitution does it say that the state house of Assembly may TAKE AWAY the functions, responsibilities or abridge the rights of the LGs in their domain. These idiots are breaking the law, blatantly, and their poster boy is a SAN.

SAN my foot. Two kobo SAN. And he has the effrontery to talk about fraud! Yeye dey smell. Na stone we go stone all these charlatans for this Lagos seh!
this is a serious matter o!
Any contrary view in the house?

I've read somewhere that there are proposals for massive infrastructural undertakings for next year. With massive road building, refineries, power etc as a way to provide employment and kickstart the economy. But lets wait until we get concrete details.
How many times have we heard this before?
give me one cogent reason why we should believe that this will be any different?
Just one reason.
I doubt any sane person wants a few persons enriched through subsidy.
the problem is that we do not trust this ogvt like previous ones to deliver on the promises to alleviate the suffering the removal will bring.
if subsidy is the only positive benefit we get from the corrupt elite, i think the masses are willing to live with it.

Afterall, the role of the assistant is to ASSIST right? Fergie was down and out, it was obvious from his looks . . . I expected Phelan to man up, take the bull by the horns and control/motivate that team. It was like he gave up himself. I'm yet to see any iota of passion in him so far.

I agree that McLaren was very active too but Queiroz was usually at the touchline barking out instructions to the players on a regular basis.

Having 40 something ministers and hundreds of assistants to special advisers and senior special advisers will not lead to economy collapse.
Neither will paying clowns millions monthly to shout 'Aye' and 'No' at the NASS nor the unaudited corruption in that cesspit called NNPC.

The truth of the matter is that the message is damaged by a compromised messenger.
this govt lacks the moral right to preach subsidy removal.
if the economy will collapse, let it collapse. and we don't want to hear any sermon about palliative measures. those stories never translate to reality and their is no reason why we should believe you.
by the way, name publish the names of those who have been fleecing the country through fuel subsidy?

I am sure Cleverely is scared of coming back from injury.
the hype will make any sane person go nuts.
Anderson had better be afraid as he will need to find a new excuse soon.
someone posted this elsewhere and i agree with most of it;

Utd fans, on these blogs anyway, seem to have favourites for no obvious reasons.
Carrick is one of the best players around at shielding a defence ( the best player in midweek against Otelu ) and that is what we desperately need at the moment.
Anderson on the other hand leaves a motorway through the centre of the pitch for the opposition to motor down;
he doesn't tackle, plays simple passes straight to the opposition, huffs and puffs to get back but seeing he's usually ball watching on the wrong side of his man he more often just stands and watches the opposition player disappear into the distance.

At O.T. on Sunday I could hardly believe my eyes how poor he was.
Carrick's technical ability is far superior to Anderson's but on these blogs people seem to think it's the other way round. Is it because he's Brazilian?
