Politics › Re: PDP Officially Bars Sylva From Running As Bayelsa Governor - SaharaReporters by mbulela: 3:07pm On Nov 14, 2011 |
Raxxye: My months of prayers for Bayelsa State was answered over the weekend when Timipre Sylva was given the boot by the PDP; my joys knew no bounds at hearing the news. Even though I am not an indigene of Bayelsa State, neither do I live there, I have had the privilege of visiting the state a couple of times or more, and to say there is nothing to show for Timipre Sylva’s five-year [mis] rule, is simply an understatement. Sylva will go down memory lane as one of the worst leaders Nigeria has ever produced at the state level. His likes are only found in persons like T.A.Orji of Abia State, and perhaps Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State. Sylva deserves a life jail term to pay for the evils he has done Bayelsa people, and the Nigerian nation as a whole. I am confident, though, that since my prayer for his removal has been answered, my prayer that nemesis catches up with him some day, will also follow suit. Now that this prayer has been answered, when will you make petitions to God on behalf of Abia State? Your kind help will be appreciated. |

What i don't understand is this; the same PDP (and by extension GEJ) that allowed the likes of T.A. Orji and Uduaghan to run and win a 2nd term is refusing Sylva? It seems the laws in GEJ land is made up on the fly based on your present alignment with the powers that be.
I really don't care who wins the election as long as the people of Bayelsa have a hand and a majority say in who it is. However, i am not holding my breath as the past does not give room for such hope.
Looking at the field of contestants, you are left to wonder what it is about our polity that throws up charlatans and clowns as aspirants for political office? There is something fundamentally wrong about the system because there is just no way these clowns can lead us to the promised land. |

Aafter all these, Abati will return to the media, be rehabilitated and claim that his haters could not see the full picture from outside. If they did, they would hail his heroic efforts as GEJ spokesman. That all he did was for the love of the country. The Nigerian political space is so predictable with clowns running wild. |

coogar: if he's not a top midfielder, he won't be starting games for one of the biggest football clubs in the world. your propensity to chat poppycocks is mind-boggling. i will ignore part of the post for obvious reason but according to your argument Djemba Djemba was a top midfielder and Luke Chadwick was a top midfielder too. I appreciate your right to hold an opinion on Anderson but it seems to fly in the face of reality. For a start, he is too inconsistent to be called a top midfielder. |

Mine would be
VDS G. Neville Irwin Stam Vidic Keane Scholes Becks Giggs Ruud Cantona
I'll go for VDS over Schmeichel any day. VDS might not have been as spectacular but he was extremely consistent and dependable. He did it at the top level much longer than the likes of Schmeichel. There was something reassuring about his calmness about him that just won me over. An ability that De Gea has which will only be truly appreciated once he sorts out the language barrier. |

anyway, it depends on your idea of top. one man's top is another man's mediocre. none of United's central midfielders fits my idea of top by any stretch of the imagination. Least of all, Anderson. all this chop and change in the middle by Fergie hoping to stumble on a magic combination will not solve the problem. that central midfield needs a clear out. |
