Geez!!!
Some of us football fans are nutcases.
Utd won the 19th, instead of enjoying the moment, some nutcases are busying wasting their time on Liverpool and deriding the noisy neighbour.
Barca do the expected to Utd on the biggest nite in European football and some fans who should be hiding their faces in shame due to the the 'mental strength' of their sides are all having o rgasms like 11 year old school boys.
Is there no honour among losers?
Aare Nigerians immune to shame?

By the way, Congratulations to Scholesy!!
A man and a player.
No hugging and manipulation of the media as some of his clownish colleagues did(did not even care to have an agent),made difficult skills seems simple, had awesome vision and treated the ball with love and respect.
Take a bow,son and a spotter badge for you, for life.

A man who only did his talking on the pitch.
In an age when agents have helped to ruin the game, this man had no agent throughout his career.
He will be missed.
Thanks for the memories.

We are not asking for perfection but improvement and when i say improvement, i mean real noticeable improvement. Their seems to be a tacit encouragement to rabid tribalists and inter ethnic rivalries.
Thank you.
Jarus, this seems to be the view of rational posters here.
It seems the owners and Mods of this site and this section in particular are enjoying this ethnic jingoism.
The section is filled with threads that have long generated to ethnic jingoistic exercises for days.Yet days after the essence of the thread was derailed, the offensive posts are neither deleted or the entire thread binned.
This job is too much for an individual.Considering that you have more important things in live to spend your time on, this section in particular needs a couple of more Mods.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Did Arsenal Play Better Than Manchester United Against Barcelona? by mbulela: 12:10pm On May 31, 2011
how you can compare both is baffling.
football fans are obsessed with comparisons.
if they are not comparing two footballers who played 40 years apart, they are comparing two teams with different fundamentals or comparing matches of different magnitude.
how can you compare a two legged round with a one off final?
The obsession with comaprisons are interesting but after a while it gets a bit boring.
It soon descends to all this if my aunty had balls, she would have been my uncle analogies.
btw,it is so pathetic that Arsenal fans seem to define their season by the 'fact' that they were the best losers to Europe's best.
How more pathetic can it be?

This seems like a square peg for a round hole.
This position needs a technocrat, a seasoned policy administrator not a career politician with a bland and unimpressive CV.
Is it that there was non of such from the SE or there was non who is in the good books of the power that be?
GEJ needs to cast his net wider in coming selections.
Wishing APA all the best,i hope he delivers.

Still something can be done.
The state is unbelievably dirty.

FROM WIKILEAKS;

UNITED'S PLAN B FOR BARCA: A 3-4-3
Posted 27/05/11 08:25EmailPrintSave

It has emerged that Manchester United have been practicing in a 3-4-3 formation that will be deployed in Saturday's Champions League Final if they fall behind to Barcelona.
Though it is widely believed that United will start the game with precisely the same team that beat Schalke in Germany a month ago, The Daily Telegraph reports that Sir Alex Ferguson has 'devised a two-pronged strategy to beat Barcelona' with the United manager prepared to make radical changes during the game if the Spaniards take the lead.
With the Premier League title wrapped up two weeks ago, United have had plenty of valuable time in which to fine-tune their preparations for the Wembley showpiece and many hours have been devoted to '11-a-side practice games between the first team and squad members lining up as Barcelona.' It is understood that Michael Owen has taken up the role of David Villa, while Paul Scholes has imitated Andres Iniesta and 'Portuguese winger Nani has performed the 'Messi' role in training, replicating the Argentine forward's movement in the final third of the pitch.'
At the start of the final, United are expected to line up in a conventional 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 formation with Wayne Rooney supporting Javier Hernandez but dropping deeper whenever Barcelona are in possession. However, it's the disclosure that United have also been working in a 3-4-3 formation which is entirely unexpected.
According to the Telegraph, the plan is 'in place should Barcelona take a lead and leave United chasing the game in the second-half. Chris Smalling, set to be named on the substitutes' bench on Saturday, has trained as the third man at the back alongside Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic.
'The former Fulham youngster would likely replace Ji-sung Park, with Fabio and Patrice Evra advancing into midfield behind a front three of Rooney, Hern醤dez and Antonio Valencia.'

Game on.

Sule Lamido is such a vindictive, small minded man (irrespective of his size).
Power is very dangerous in the hands of such fellows.
Instead of him trying to rescue Jigawa from backwardness, he spends his time plotting after enemies, real and imagined.

Even 1 billion is insane.
Apart from security at the venues, feeding, transport logistics and accomodation for the invited dignitaries, i don't see anything else they are spending money on.
The solution to this madness will never be found internally (via elections, zoning and legislation), unfortunately, the solution will be external (from outside the system).
It is inevitable.

I applaud his comments and his new found radicalism.
I hope same will be extended to corruption and would not be an exclusive tool used against rascal brute muslims.
Is this not the same man i saw celebrating Uduaghan a short while ago?
Has he voiced against the crass corruption and waste evident in GEJ's govt?
I don't even want to go into the gagsterism and excesses evident in the organisation he leads.
Last time i saw him arrive in a city, his entourage was filled with gun totting soldiers that wrecked traffic for hours and scared the living daylights out of mere mortals like us.
I wonder what a MOG is doing with such security.

Like i said i applaud his comments to Buhari but now that he has found his voice i hope he goes the whole hog.

Christianity Etc › Re: Why The 'Daddy' Craze In Our Churches? by mbulela: 11:53am On May 24, 2011
@poster, the 'mummy in Israel' thingy is simply a carry over from white garment churches where founding members of that church grew up in.
Also the Daddy thing is a cultural influence from the part of the country that is dominant in that church and most of the popular pentecostal churches in Nigeria.

Gbawe my man,
this time you goofed o!
This is the type of sensational thing i expect from your prime opponent here (i am way beyond his level so i won't dignify him by mentioning his name here). For all we know Fashola might have been named a leading contender for this position solely by the media. Is their any proof stating otherwise?
This governors' forum remains a major stakeholder in PDP politics, how the majority of members who are PDP govs would then go and vote for Fashola is devoid of meaning and to imagine that is extremely simplistic.
The sole aim of the forum is for collective bargaining power of govs (mostly PDP), the reason why the likes of Fashola and Obi attend is that once in a long while the bargaining power coincides with their own interest.
Fashola is good but he is no saint.
If this position was to protect and project his own political interest, i believe he would have campaigned extensively for it.
His assumed non interest is simply because he stood no chance of winning and it would be suicidal for PDP govs to consider him.

the scary thing is that the amnesty program is open ended and has no end date in sight.

^^ Exactly! The president took an oath to abide by the constitution which he is doing, and some nigerians are blaming him for obeying the constitution.
AjanleKoko:
I'm no fan of GEJ . . . but how is this his fault? He's just telling it like it is.
We have functioned like this since 1999. Why do you all expect him to jettison the constitution just like that?
is that a joke??
pls see my earlier comment.
David Mark and his band of travellers ammended a portion of the rules of the senate to close the door on Saraki et al from seeking positions in the senate in less than 10 days.
If GEJ has an interest whatsoever in reverting this status quo of buz as usual that is ruining this country he could get that silly clause in the constitution ammended in less than a month in the NASS and all state house of assembly.
Yet he has been in power for over a year.
Let him make an attempt and let us see those who will attempt to frustrate it and we will know who to direct our ire at.
He just throws up his hands at the first opportunity and tells us that it is in the constitution.
Who told him we are too dumb not to know it is in the constitution?
36 ministers!!!
for what?this democracy is becoming too expensive (after you factor in the allowances of Mark and his fellow clowns).
Fresh Air needs balls not just mouthing it on FB and stickers.
