Well, elections can be held in safe locations. There must be one in 2015 |
I met Chisom drawing by a table in front the house and stopped by to question her for composure. Nkem's father appeared through the door and made for the gate like someone who was in a hurry only to pass a glance towards my direction, muttering a response to my salutation, he spread a beckoning hand towards Nkem and guided her to himself like I was going to harm her by merely looking at her, she kept a straight face and hurriedly walked through the narrow passage dragging her footwear along. In her arm was my other love, a child we brought into the world and with promised dreams to give her the very best, she seemed to have grown a lot since I saw her last, I quickly recalled the last day I spent with her and a realisation of the phenomenonal stages of her life that I have missed swept through me. |
That Sunday had started just like any other day, I had been withdrawn for quite a while and spent most of my days indoors. I had been expecting Nkem and her Dad, I only wish they would come along with my little princess so I could have a chance to see her after such a long time. I was engrossed in this state of mind when I heard a knock on my door and a voice informing me of their arrival, I impulsively asked if they brought my sweet daughter along, I got an answer in the affirmative and set to meet them. I hurriedly did the room, took my bath and brushed my teeth. I really missed Nkem and our daughter, it pained me so much why she would decide to leave after all we had been through together and the promises I believe our togetherness holds. I was finding it too difficult a pill to swallow, but knew that you don't force someone into staying with you when they want to leave, Dolly Parton's song when someone wants to leave had been my favourite whenever I thought about what was happening. She had gone to the landlord's house with her father on arrival, and I knew it wouldn't take long before I am being summoned. I did occasionally peep through the window when it was taking too long for me to be summoned, it was during one of such moments that I saw the landlord alight from a motorcycle, and at that instant I knew why he had not sent for me earlier. Ten minutes later, Chidi came knocking on my door, I wanted to appear ignorant and play cool, so I took my time before answering the door and subsequently proceeding to the landlord's apartment. |
loving is not the problem... Loving the wrong person right Loving the right person at the wrong time These are the problems As I lay on the cold floor of the police cell, having just a dirty torn carton for bed, among common criminals, wishing that both morning and sleep comes fast, I just couldn't help to ponder on what they told me guys are here because we were hustling, and you are telling a stupid story of being here because of love How could I ever imagine I would spend my first night in detention just because I loved someone? But that was my story... No part of this story might be reproduced in any form without due consent from the author. All rights reserved. |
Waste of money |
pazienza:I don't have a problem with the correctness or otherwise of the post, but with the inability of most commentators to comprehend the essence of the post. |
alentyno:little wonder our graduates are not regarded. Yes, they bagged first class from the NLS, but that would be the first time someone from their schools, made first class @ the NLS. It is not that someone has not made a first class there, but certainly not someone from the schools they came from. It is just like the hype that would accompany Nigeria winning the world cup, it won't be because the world cup has never been won, but because no African nation has won it before. Do you get it now or is there a need for me to break it down to you like a nursery school pupil? |
alentyno:comprehension problem? They are the first from their respective schools to achieve such feats, not necessarily the only ones. Read again ! ![]() |
bukatyne:u prolly didn't read me well. She wouldn't say anything different. She did a lot of research during her pregnancy and let me in on everything that informed her choices. I maintain that labour pain doesn't last. Unless of course you mean other pains associated with child birth which could be as a result of incisions and all that. So long as you've not given birth, take it that I have a better idea than u do. |
Well, going by ma labour room experience, if it was even possible for women's womb to be put outside their body, just to avoid d sufferings, i'ldd efinitely vote a yes. It didn't dey easy. Lol. |
Enoch will not die, he will walk with the Lord. Na joke o |
omicron:it depends on the set of youths, who is to be toppled and who was going to take over. I know our politicians have cult followership who could do anything for them. |
babyosisi:Aunty, na fight? |
bukatyne:well I was with her in the delivery room and was remotely connected to her. I am saying what I believe she would say. It was about whether or not one would use an epidural, remember? |
bukatyne:well, it never lasts beyond labour. |
No. My sweetheart did a research on its use during her pregnancy, while it ensures there are no labour pains, it takes away the flair of childbirth. Besides its administration is said to be a specialist area and could go severely wrong. She told me, I can't really say I know. |
Will be heading there. Are u |
Wetin concern us? |
Yes, Agbero too na work ![]() |
Today is All Souls |
Annypie:u see ur way? U felt u were to good to post here until u needed our vote eekwa? |
The best yet to be built. I miss her. |
But more useful than some that are not funny |
Hope they really did serve our country well. Why must it always matter where someone is from? The way our so-called youths go about this north/south thing has made me lose hope in our generation. |
Serves him right. All these money miss road landlords without an atom of human sympathy. |
None |
I hope that resolves everything |
Barbaric |
obeenah40:it is actually AS YOU WERE, used to ask someone to fall back into position after supposedly giving a salute. |
Which one be trying? |
I actually thought we were overcoming all these bombings. |
