I was followin a dialogue on radio and this was wat the topic was all about. At a point in a r/ship, the next thing is marriage and the guy is xpected to propose. Now this is where I'm hittin the nail, at dis point, the girl goes like "OMG!!! Yes baby, i'll marry u" and she's actin all surprised and everythin. My question now is: Is it dat they neva xpected him to propose afta a long period of courtship? (i mean, its only normal dat a guy proposes afta a long while of datin). Datz my question to nairalanders, cuz some galz even go a long way to practise how dey'll react when their man proposes (feigning the whole surprise issue). Reasonable contributions pls

One of the main reasons of relationships is to find a soul mate/partner with whom we'll spend the rest of our lives with. Anyone who's matured and in a r/ship can concur with me that at a point in time, marriage is the next step after all the months/years of courtship. Its usually the man that's xpected to go down on his knees, brings the ring out and say those words- "Will u marry me?". And the lady goes like "OMG!!! Baby, I cant believe this, yes I'll marry u". And they hug and kiss and blah blah blah. But my question now is, are girls really surprised and swept off their feet when the guy proposes? Is it that they never expected it or what?
