Any idea d interest rate to be charged by Ecobank for this "Leasing" arrangement? What is d minimum price of car covered under this package? In how many days can we close the deal?

I've watched n read wit keen interest d claims, counterclaims and suggestions on dis thread. I dont have a car, so maybe my response wil border on d naive. HOWEVER, i've come to respect Banix cos of d way he advertises his stock, giving full description of d cars he's puttin up for sale. This case therefore calls for perspective. My idea is that only a brand new car wil have a "vehicle performance" of 100%. To say a used car (nigerian or tokunbo) is over 90% means d prospective buyer is buying a car he doesnt have to spend ANY dime on, except maybe to touch it to his own taste. But not in terms of performance. So imagine me buying a car for One naira, wit a 90+ performance, only to find out d next day that it isnt workin well. We may argue back and forth, but for d most part, car dealers owe it a duty of customer satisfaction and by saying ur car is working a 94%, u're dangerously puttin ur reputation on a thin line. Pls be more careful.

@teleporter, i really do think ITA is too streamlined. BPS is not very popular in this part of them world, but it's definitely on d rise and given the choice btw both I'll easily chose BPS. There u get to travel a lot, meet choice clients, provide solutions to real-life business problems and be put on the spot for every decision taken, u know.

@teleporter, while i dont really like both units as well as I love mu Audit where the potential for growth and mobility is very high, I'd still chose BPS. Talk about btw the devil and the deep blue sea

u could have ur medicals today and not be called up for another 6months.

as per KBAC, u've gotta prepare for fun. forget the accounting sections, my peeps out there say i shouldnt be worried. we'll be able to handle it. however, expect to be given course materials that are essentially an elaboration of the PreRead with you.

seems this tax issue is a problem for all multinational coys, they simply dont know how to go round govt. even where i work now, we have a cunny way of reducing tax.

few minutes after i posted my lasted contribution, i got a text from HR to pick my offer letter. in fact, i got the letter earlier today, and yes, i can confirm that the training is for sept 14 @ golden gate.

I just got off the phone with a friend, and he said they are starting KBAC september 14. my problem is, why havent they contacted anybody (or is it only me). it is just over a month away, and one needs to prepare his mind, especially someone like me who's required to give a month notice to a present employer.
dont worry. i heard medicals and call-up could take just a week, tehre seems to eb no general rule when it comes to KPMG.

test format?
an impromptu essay on a topic u'll be given there.
the maths. basically foreign type GMAT questions. the everyday maths is usually straight forward, but u need to be at ur very best for the abstract and series segments. na die e be. then speed is of essence too.

pls note . if u dont pass the essay, u wont be taken even if y get 100% in maths. JUST LIKE KPMG.
also, there's negative marking.

Two Parts (if they haven't changed it).
Mathematics, GMAT types, but more of business maths aspect. e.g common interest, compound interest, etc.
English, actually, 2 essyas. (used to be three). one on where you wanna be in 20 years
the second one on what you would do to tackle corruption if u were the president of Nigeria.

Note that if you dont do well in the essay part, u wont be taken EVEN if you score a 100% in maths.

While i enjoyed some parts of your exchanges while it lasted and actually benefitted from the revelations, i think you guys should be more mature about this. come on guys, i am sure Seun didnt start this post to look for trouble.

however, some quick questions: how long does KPMG take after Medicals to offer employment? can anything go wrong at the medicals? if yes, what sorts of things? i had my medicals for the september K-BAC but am yet to hear anything. could it have been becos my urine sample for the medicals was colored, for example? or what?

plus, as per the salary stuff, it's still a little bit ambiguous. i am going for audit, which means i will be required to sit ICAN. but a frind who joined last october said the take home is 105k, though it sometimes goes up. can you guys explain this?

@McNiche, so what stage are you now? i finisdhed my one interview last year, but couldnt take up an offer with the Risk Management unit last year cos i was keen on making an impact at my 40k-a-month job. would u believe it?

Great game, but were there any defender on that pitch. the defending was just shabby at best.

It's good that i am currently engaged. That way i wont have to dwell on the SRD mini-disaster too much. Anyway, it doesnt pain me as much as that of PwC, for example. it was a worthwhile experience, that much i'm very sure.
