MissJennifer: Hello everyone, please I need clarifications to this issue. Recently, i've been hearing,if you want to go into the academics, get a masters. If you want to go into the coporate world, get certifications n a job first then decide whether to go back to school or not later.I want to know how true this is cos am a fresh graduate of economics and I intend going in for masters in the next academic session. I have no experience whatsoever n I don't intend going into the academicsAn Msc without experience is on the same level as your bsc.. I suggest you get a job thereby getting relevant experience in the process then further your studies.. My two cents |
xfire: How do you want me to help you sir/ma?Good day xeth, a lovely thing you are doing here... I am a final year engineering student and have always love to have a career in either Drilling Eng, Reservoir Eng or Subsea Engineering, my point of concern now is the realisation that a career in any of these field would keep me offshore and away from my family.. The first 10 years would be beautiful, job fulfilment and lesser family responsibility. But what happens after then, can i work a transfer to an onshore site? I have recently added Operation Research and Asset Management to the list.. What is your take on this Mr xeth.. Expecting your professional reply.. Have a nice day |
@Samsara01 the first thing you have to do is to forget the class of the degree you were admitted to, 1-1, 2-1 and Msc(without experience) are all classified together.. You need to know that your degree would only get you the interview but would not get you the job.. Its only 3 months into the job market and you need to sit down and re-evaluate your approach, How good is my cv? How many recruitment thread have you gone through to know the test format and processes involved? How many other job seekers do u network it? How many companies have you submitted to? How much do you know about that company before stepping out for that company.. You need to learn how to market yourself, talk to people that are experienced in your field.. Finaly you need to change that philosophy that you cant get a job without a high up contact.. I wish you good luck and hope to see your testimony soon. |

Guys hate flirts? How wrong can that be? |
735i: The same mistakes we made in the '60's we are making again now.the sharing formula should be based on how much was invested by the companies involved.. There are many other JV in which NNPC have the majour share... |
More job opportunites!! |
RayMcblue02: Lolz19 nominations, no Award.. HBO was counting on GOT to bang them in but for Cersei to loose i have to watch the winner in action... As for me i think she deserved the award... I think GOT deserved more.. "When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die." |
GOT didnt win any award :O , How in the seven kingdoms did that happen? Like if you think Tyrion and Cersei deserved to win |

Gozychuks: When U ask a girl out or trying to be friends with her. And she asks ''What do u do'' and u answer am ''currently job hunting''. Then she loses interest and stops paying u attention sometimes even sees u as good for nothing. That really hurts.she will be the first to call u as soon as u upload a picture of u working in any of d big 4. |
A gentleman is: 1. One who does not contest the price of brazilian hair and still acompany his lady to the saloon. 2. One who does not argue on the total money needed to get foodstuffs and still comes back to be served 2 pieces of meat. 3. One who is caught staring, only for him to turn to his wife and warn her not to dress like the lady being stared. 4. One who goes down happily without expecting a head in return. 5. One who recieves his salary via his wifes' account. Ladies, na wetin una want be this? |
kel4soft: I left UNIPORT in 2011 and I paid 19700 naira then. My younger brother told me the fee have been increased between 39-46000 naira this session. Their protest did absolute nothing to the situation. By the way, their last session, they paid 29700 naira.thats still way higher than what uniben students pay.. Engineering/law/medicine students pay 14,000 naira while the others pay 10,000... Heard OAU fee is cheaper. If thats true i see no reason for the protest |
Davijunson: What can I say....Nigeria universities and fee hikes. I wonder why dey increase d fees jes like dat without anytin to show for it. Now some students are now being punished for protesting. Corruption has indeed built a Mansion in Naija...If a reason for the increament is given and it is not contestable so be it but if it is not then i can understand the struggle.. The last time i checked students of the great ife pay one of the cheapest fees(federal unis).. Please enlighten me if i am wrong. |

Feraz: Hehehe! Thanks. I can't apply again cos my level isn't permitted to. When I said not being a core member, I meant giving or helping out with some things there.what department and year are u in? |
Feraz: E be like say na University of Benin you dey. Were you part of the first team that went for the competition? I'm thinking of joining this team albeit not a core member.i was not a core member of the Tuketuke team neither a core member of the recent team.. I would advice you join the team to develop (or improve) your leadership/project solving skills.. I school in uniben too |
