IS NNAMDI KANU AND HIS IPOB ABOUT TO BRING TROUBLE TO LAGOS? - JOE IGBOKWE

Video of Joe Igbokwe in Igbo language

In it, Igbokwe says there is evidence IPOB is planning on bringing trouble to Lagos by destroying police stations there. The aim is as always: Nnamdi Kanu wants hatred and isolation to be poured on Igbos.

My Yoruba brethren, please know this. Most Igbos are against NNamdi Kanu and his IPOB/ESN. As you know, Nnamdi Kanu/IPOB send threats to Igbos who criticise them, that is why the silence. Igbo silence is NOT support for Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOBigots/ESN. Yoruba know this, Igbos want to cause no problems at all for Yoruba. Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB/ESN DO NOT speak or work for Igbos. I plead for calm, and my Igbo network are looking into this matter. sad

This provocative video by the Lagos-based Joe Igbokwe addresses a subject matter that is of strategic interest to any Igbo living anywhere in the world today. The video is in Igbo language. But it is profound in content. Everyone is advised to find the time to watch the video.

Igbokwe has been a controversial figure on sundry issues pertaining to the mainstream Igbo quest for an equitable and dignified existence in post-Civil-War Nigeria. Some tout the supposed robust presence of the Igbo business class in the control of many consumer markets and real estate assets of Africa's most populous country. Whatever future the Igbo can have in today's Unitary Nigeria, or outside of it, must be premised on the general goodwill of the non-Igbo stakeholders. In the delicate security situation in the country today, it would be impudent and self-defeatest for Ndiigbo to be visibly identified with fostering terrorist acts of any type, especially in the Lagos metropolis.

Joe Igbokwe throws a challenge to the Igbo leadership class in all disciplines of life to step forward now to say something about the explosive danger that conjures the memories of Civil-War Biafra. Joe's video is provocative indeed. That is why it is being shared for all to see and react to as they deem fit.

Falconx47:
Reparability - That's the word!

I am inspired to write this because of a recent video I stumbled upon on youtube, which reaffirmed a viewpoint I've always had.

Nowadays, manufacturers of smartphone seem to be doing everything possible to take away the ability to repair their gadgets, should any minor damage happen to it from the users, this is aimed at forcing such consumers to buy the next new thing.

Two most popular ways they do this is by making the components integrated or expensive, or restricting the parts supply or expertise for repairs. In both cases the result is an impossible/difficult to repair device or a very costly to repair device (so much that sometimes, you're just better off buying a new one - which is their aim anyway).

This is firstly unhealthy to the pockets of low income earners, and unnecessary spending to even people that can afford new devices all the time. Looking at the bigger picture, this practice also leads to generation of large amounts of e-waste, resources used to make these products are quite finite, I won't delve into the children who are dying in congo...so that big brands can make hyped components. But of course the makers don't care...they're here for profit, no matter the cost to the planet.

So when next that new latest device is launched, and all the hype, unboxing and review around it starts raving and you start feeling pressure to buy...take a minute to research into the reparability of the device, simply put if this my phone falls and the screen breaks, will I be able to change it? How easy or costly will it be?

That will help a lot in buying sustainable brands and products, Nigeria is only a section of the market and nairaland is even a more micro section of this market, but factoring reparability into buying decisions and spreading the word could go a long way to forcing this manufacturers to stop seeing users the way drug dealers see addicts...

Edit...

Since someone mentioned it, there are ways to find out if a smartphone is easily reparable before you buy.

The supplier's repair service, does the maker of this device have committed parts and repairs service from the outset?

History of that particular brand, the older generations and versions of phones from this maker, how durable were they? If they got spoiled, were they reparable? And at what cost? etc.

My own method is teardown videos (this might be boring for someone who isn't tech savvy), but teardown videos on YouTube shows you bit by bit of how the components of every phone that comes out are assembled, this way it's easy to know how difficult it will be to uncouple a device or switch a part.

Another way could be to ask questions, ask a good phone repair guy, very good tech and repair people stay ahead of development, so they usually know what a new phone is made of, before they start breaking and needing repairs.

In any case, the idea is to buy things that are durable, and that can repair is they sustain a minor damage, better for your budget, better for our world.
Very interesting post. By the way, please who knows where I can buy a fairly used HTC One X? I was using the phone but it had power button problem in 2018, so I need to buy another one with good power button to change it. That phone contains what I can die for. Hence, I need to retrieve the files. Thanks to a helper in advance.

CelebritiesRe: Sunday Igboho Mocks Pastor Adeboye Over Son's Death by McStoic(m): 10:12pm On May 09, 2021
Shuzzi:
Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho, has mocked Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, over the sudden death of his son, Pastor Dare Adeboye.

The Yoruba national activist said he would not greet or sympathize with Adeboye over the demise of Dare because the General Overseer does not support Yoruba nation.

Igboho did not mince words when he rained curses on any leader or Pastor who refuse to support the secession agenda, saying God will kill their children and wives.

He said this during a live Facebook broadcast with his media aide, Olayomi Koiki, on Saturday night.

Koiki had asked the activist to send some words to Adeboye through the live video, to sympathise with him over the death of his son.

But, Sunday Igboho appeared infuriated by Koiki’s request as he asked if the man of God had declared his support for Yoruba nation.

He said: “Has Baba supported Yoruba nation that we will now be greeting him? We don’t need to greet Adeboye. What is my own with that? We are not doing church here. This is not religion.

“Pastor Adeboye didn’t speak about Yoruba nation. Look at the number of crowd in Baba Adeboye’s church. Is he not supposed to tell all of them to join Yoruba nation? We don’t need to greet him.

“God himself will start asking questions from all the enemies of the Yoruba race. By the grace of God, anybody who says Yoruba will not get to the promised land, God will kill their children and wives and their entire family.”

“Anybody who does not support Yoruba nation, those who have powers, be it pastors or anybody that has the followers, but does not support Yoruba nation, God I call on you; you’re the one who owns me and the creator of everything.

“Those elders who see our sufferings, who see that the Fulanis are kidnapping us and collecting ransom, but choose not to support us, as you kill their children, kill their wives. So shall it be!” Sunday Igboho emphasised.”

PoliticsRe: Why Military Option To Biafra Will Be A Misadventure by McStoic(m): 10:10pm On May 09, 2021
Ooni:
I want explain reasons why military option to security challenges in Nigeria especially, Biafran seperatism in the Southeast region will not end well for the Federal government.

Fighting in different frontiers Nigerian army is already engaged in a decade old war against terror in the north east. There is now Book haram, Isis and Iswap. They have surged downwards to Niger state, 2hrs to the country's capital. There are also well armed and deadly bandits in the Northwest. These groups have killed thousand of civilians and security forces and the FG is currently seeking for assistance at tackling them. As these fighters make gains, their numbers increase unlike the military. It will be a matter of a year or two for the army to be overwhelmed if it opens another frontier in the East.

Nigeria is broke, it's non state rivals are not The federal govt has other Responsibility apart from war, which is administration. But it can barely meet them. Nigeria has borrowed billions to finance capital projects little prospects of obtaining more loans. The military is presently said to be underfunded, while the govt plans to cut salaries and merge agencies to meet its obligations. Conversely, a group like IPOB is funded constantly by home and diaspora Ibos and has only one responsibility- defense. Remember the last Biafra was burdened with administration and defence but the IPOB spends almost all its money on defence while administration is left to Eastern governors. This can make a whole lot of difference.

Lack of International support Nigeria had heavy support from its allies during the first civil war. The British supported with arms, experts and media. Russia, Czechoslovakia etc supported with arms while the Arabs supplied arms and pilots. Nigeria also had thousands of mercenaries Niger and chad and the support of Cameroon which ensured the blockade of the Southeast border.
Today, the outlook is totally different. Nigeria's allies seem to be suspicious of the Federal govt true intentions. UK has rejected partnership with federal govt on 'security' while EU has asked the FG to 'look beyond' military solution in solving insecurity. US is showing red light with their blantant refusal to relocate African command while Israel has never hidden it's pro Biafran sentiment. Also note worthy is the Anglophone crisis that will limit Cameroon's role in containing their Southwestern border in event of conflict.

Minority Aparthy The last civil war was nearly prosecuted by the Northern minorities. Tiv, Igala, Nupe, Idoma etc Today the minorities are at best aloof. Fulani herdsmen have wrecked havok in the area, greatly diminishing the peoples trust in the Nigerian project. Some tribes are forming militias while some are even going for self determination. Their elders like Jerry gana and Theophilius Danjuma are outspoken against the Fulani agenda and the military role. It's difficult to believe hundreds of thousands from the middle belt will turn out within two weeks as they did in 1967 if the military demands.

Lack of Ideology People fighting for an ideology are difficult to beat because they can fight to death. Most freedom fighters fight for ideology but most Nigerian soldiers are paid and can run from battle. Freedom fighters form volunteers. Without leave nor retirement like regular army, they can only multiply and fight more passionately without getting paid. Moreover, this ideological leaning can penetrate the ranks of the Nigerian army. With the alleged deployment of only Northerners to orlu, it seems there is already grumbling among Ibo officers.
IPOB is a multi billion naira organisation ooo. Those guys contribution is very well coordinated with a sense of massive patriotism. Imagine donations from more than 100 countries across the world...

PoliticsRe: “I Pray You Live Beyond This CRISIS” – TB Joshua Bombshell Prophecy For NIGERIA! by McStoic(m): 4:12pm On May 09, 2021
Temotala:
Prophet TB Joshua has released the video of a bombshell prophecy for Nigeria which he gave almost seven years ago on July 27th 2014.

“Beyond this crisis, Nigeria is beautiful. Your prayer now is that you should witness it so that this crisis will not take you away,” the cleric soberly declared during a service at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN).

“It is decreed that this nation will be reckoned with as a powerful nation,” he continued, adding that his prophecy would become a point of reference many years later.

However, he warned members of the ‘political class’ of impending repercussions for their contributions to the crisis. “Huge trouble is coming and no human being will withstand it unless you don’t have hand in that trouble,” he boldly declared.

“There is a cloud that covers Nigeria… the cloud of crisis, murder, killings, destruction covers Nigeria. The cloud will go; Nigeria will remain.”

Joshua then questioned the rationale of those who are “interested in power that cannot give them peace.”

“Power without peace is powerless…The manner you have that power will determine whether there will be peace in it,” he counselled.

“The power is in the heart, not in the gun, not in the White house or Aso Rock. If you are living in the White House without power in the heart, it is like you are living in the bush,” he further added.

Calling on his followers to pray for Nigeria, the cleric insisted that Nigeria would not break up. “I want to assure you: Nigeria – nothing will happen to Nigeria. Nigeria will remain one!”

Speaking on the spate of insecurity fuelled by banditry and terrorism, Joshua revealed: “They have infiltrated everywhere. There is no section or department in this country that these people are not there. It has become a professional job.”

He stressed that protection only lies in God. “There is no one that is secured by power and might and gun that they cannot get unless those whom God protects – because they have infiltrated everywhere. They are no more inside the bush; they are everywhere.”

Joshua called on the ‘political class’ to eschew differences and “discuss about the security and oneness of this country”

“There will be answer if they can pay the price, put their political agenda behind and discuss the unity of this nation,” he stressed, describing the situation of Nigeria as “very sensitive”.

“Quote me once again – security, police, guns, soldiers cannot protect anyone again because everywhere is infiltrated,” he concluded before praying for God’s will to be done.

In a short introduction to the clip “from the archives”, Joshua explained more about the timing of prophecy.

“Prophecy is given when there is no situation on the ground,” he explained during a service on Friday 7th May 2021, adding a prophet would declare ‘it will rain’ when there was no sign of rain in the atmosphere.

During the #EndSARS protests that engulfed Nigeria last year, a video of Joshua forewarning of a revolution spearheaded by youth surfaced and subsequently went viral.

He is known for his prophetic messages which include the election of Joe Biden as US President and the second and third waves of coronavirus which have decimated nations such as India and Brazil.

A man took to his Twitter account to swear at men who chase single ladies for two years begging for their love and affection.

men chase ladies
@ojooluwa is of the opinion that if such men exist, then they are cursed. In his opinion, no sensible man should chase a single woman by pretending to have the same interests and bumping into places with her.

He revealed that instead, they should put in such effort in making money and learning how to dress and talk properly.

Here’s what he wrote;

“Only a cursed man would chase a single woman for 2 years, texting, trying to bump into places, pretending to have the same interest with that woman etc.

Get in shape, make some money, learn to dress and talk properly. Be in position so that you are eligible for multiple women”.
