Am not a techie but I work in the telecoms industry and presently in Iran on a project. When I arrived in Iran I noticed how Huawei was getting most of the projects and was concerned because I was not sure about the quality of their equipment and service. However it appears that the people here are happy with what they have done so far and in some instances ericsson equipment is being swapped for Huawei. I have also noticed that Huawei are very aggresive when it comes to pricing. There is no way the Ericssons of this world can compete with them when it comes to pricing.
Ericsson equipments are more rugged and so better than Huawei that are mostly plug and play. mtnnigeria as at last 2 years and up to last year swapped most of their Huawei sites back to Ericsson in the south eastern Nigeria mostly after few years of using Huawei. I have also heard more experienced engineers complaining about Huawei equipments

ok... sorry about that

but then let me ask you a question... wat do you expect from an army that's been politicized? I dnt think you understand how the structure of the army works.. d classified intels the senior officers hold and all

then for no legit reason... a man removes over 31 army ratings just like that..

now read people's comment... and see who they're putting d blame on
now that u are sounding more logical let me react to your statement. The low cader officers (from private to corporal at best Staff Sgt) in the Army MI precisely gathers the intelligence, report to a lieutenant or at most a captain who transmit and may take part in the analysis to get intelligence out of the information normally its a major at most that will be the highest officer at that stage. if the information contains credible intelligence it is then transmitted through the corp of intelligence commander through the GOC office. At any stage here intelligence can be leaked either during typing or briefing or even at the office of the GOC when his adjutant receive the file for transmission to the Oga. Also contrary to what u may think the big ogas them that they just sack just sit down and receive reports they are never in the field. they just provide the leadership and motivation that's all. not that am supporting their sack but they are not as indispensable to the job as rated.

Xbee007:
Anyone with a bit of sense would know that is impossible. How can some rag-tag blood thirst creatures who live a savagery life in the forest gather more intelligence than the Nigeria Army. It is practically impossible. He should think deeply before he talks next time. I am sure when he sees what Nigerian Newspaper have made of his careless statement, he will realize he did not really mean what he has said in the actual sense.
@Xbee007 I think you are underestimating boko haram strategy. an internet search on guerrilla warfare or revolutionary warfare by Mao Zedong of China will tell u more about the advantage that that their strategy has over conventional fighters like Nigeria Army. Though the retired general may have exaggerated his point but i don't think that boko harm fighters are illiterate ragtags like u call them. they have proven by their activities to have mastery of unconventional warfare if u think it is easy to beat security checks around Abuja and successfully accomplish the objective of detonating bomb in the town then u have to think twice. One of the rules of wars like this is DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE YOUR ENEMY DONT OVERESTIMATE HIM EITHER. I think the Nigeria defence system underestimated them and that is why they have gained so much ground. As regards intelligence gathering I bet you Boko Haram are good at their work and if they have penetrated the Army as we can see is a greater prove of their sophistication. If u doubt my position here try to develop a source within an organization say a secondary school that will be giving u information on what is happening in that organization and see how tough it will be to convince somebody to do such a thing but this Boko haram have accomplished within the Army.

Trust me, Nigerians don't understand competition. The Chinese do. Even banks don't compete in Nigeria. There are banks all over the place and there's the constant complaints of horrible costumer service, yet there's no improvement from these banks. That's not a culture of beating competitors.
Nigeria may be a leading nation in its West African region, but she needs a lot of work before dabbling into what the Chinese are doing.
I agree totally with you though the earlier we start taking our pride of place the better. The Chinese understand what it means to compete. A country with such great civilization sees itself no less than any other European country. Nigeria has a lot more problems to solve first before taking up aviation.
@ Vixxie every country have their own cut of problems to tackle. China inherited an enormous population, the largest in the world. moreover if you conversant with Chinese history you will know that they have faced more challenges than Nigeria have faced since her colonial era till date. yet they are where they are today. Nigeria is inexcusable since we have all it takes to be great.

The first plane produced by a Chinese
government initiative to compete in the market
for large passenger jetliners has been unveiled
in Shanghai.
The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China
(COMAC) showed off its twin-engine C919 in a
ceremony on Monday attended by some 4,000
government officials and other guests at a
hangar near the Pudong International Airport... For China, the plane represents at least seven
years of efforts in a state-mandated drive to
reduce dependence on European consortium
Airbus and Boeing of the United States, and
even compete against them.
"China's air transport industry cannot
completely rely on imports. A great nation must
have its own large commercial aircraft," the
country's civil aviation chief Li Jiaxiang told an
audience of government and industry officials... http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2015/11/china-passenger-jet-leaves-production-line-151102054428051.html

I am certainly open to networking and I am willing to pass on my experiences and advice to anyone who is willing to listen. True madam@Aude I thought you are a recruiter yourself if not that I take time to read through a thread before I Comment I would have also been replying to you as a HR person. just to commend your effort to reply to people's comment before @OP came back to start responding. @OP I have taken my time to read through the thread and must commend your writeup and other useful contributors to the thread but I have a very unique problem in my CV that I think is a set back. I graduated 2009 and have less than 2 years working experience (1year plus precisely) in MTN Nigeria as customer care rep, though I went to a self sponsored training on radio network planning and optimization(RNPO) I have not been employed since then. so I think the job experience I have compared to the number of years I have waited is really working against me. if you don't mind I can forward a copy of my CV to u for review in your spare time. Once again thank you for your kind work in this thread.
Politics › Re: My Position On The Nnamdi Kanu-led IPOB Biafra Struggle by McTobe(m): 7:15pm On Oct 22, 2015
TonyeBarcanista:
After the announcement of the result of March 28 Presidential election, I recall vividly how some of us brought about the idea of a collective unity of interest and purpose between the South-South and South East geopolitical zones within the Nigeria State. I remember calling for a restructured Nigeria that will promote the interests of all citizens irrespective of ethnic group. I also remember saying that in absence of that, a referendum be held among citizens to determine whether the people of the South South and South East prefer the present Nigeria structure that favours no one over a separate sovereign State, the Lower Niger Congress/Federation that will favor citizens of the region, and also define the right, interest and terms that is acceptable to all ethnic nationalities that make up the 'federation'. I remember maintaining that this struggle should not be seen as confrontation with other groups and regions but must be confined in the most legitimate manner. It should be one that promote the legitimate interest of the SSSE and not one that set the SS/SE against other regions. This remains my position!

Let me state that the struggle for a better Nigeria that promotes good governance, equity and fairness irrespective of ethnic, religious and political affiliation remains my primary objective. The LNF is meant to be an alternative where the hope for restructured Nigeria diminishes. Though some of my brothers either prefer a united Niger Delta Republic or an exclusive indivisible Nigeria. That however, will be determined by a referendum should there be any. I, shall however align myself with the position of my people.

The IPOB Struggle Not Our Interest
The Mr Kanu-led IPOB struggle for an independent Biafra is not in conforminity with legitimate struggle for TWO basic reasons:

1. It promotes hate and violence against the State, other ethnic groups and also against members of Igbo ethnic nationality that does not share the Biafran ideology as preached by Kanu and his IPOB crew. Violence was never part of the UN charter on self-determination

2. The ethnic Nationalities in the Niger-Delta are yet to enter into any agreement with anybody as regard the composition, structure or otherwise of the IPOB proposed country. We are already facing a challenge in Nigeria where our forebearers in their wisdom failed to define terms of our unity as a country. In fact, we are working on correcting these anomalies legitimately.

In addition to the above, I find it disrespectful and insulting on the sensibilities of the Ijaws(Okrikans) and the Ikwerres over claim by some IPOB promoters that Portharcourt belongs to the Igbos and they will "reclaim" it. Unfortunately, no promoter of the IPOB struggle has stated otherwise. For the record, the status of Portharcourt as the exclusive ownership of the Okrikans(PH South) and the Ikwerres is non-negotiable. Specifically, not a single inch of Okrika and other Ijaw land, whether in PH or anywhere else will be surrendered to anyone under any guise.

I recognise and respect the right of everyone to self-determination but I have to state that the Kanu-led IPOB ideology is not what my people desire. I also respect the right of our Igbo brothers to their own interest but I disagree with call for violence as propagated by members of IPOB.

I remain committed to the interest of the Ijaw nation, the Niger-Delta region and also that of every good citizens of the Nigeria State whether Igbo, Yoruba, Berom, Fulani, Igala, Idoma etc.

May God Lead Us Right and Bless Nigeria
I respect the view of everybody and I am not given to promoting hatred or violence but the truth is that @Barcanista will not be be as pronounced as the late Zik of Africa in propagating for one Nigeria. That the revered Zik failed in that aspect is a reality to every good student of history. Also note that the state is a means to an end and not an end on itself. the state is a means to the happiness of the greater number(what Aristotle termed Simon bonum) If the Biafrans don't feel OK in Nigeria and they have cogent reasons to feel so, their matter should be subject to referendum for determination. As regards IPOB the group have proven to be organized and not in the least violent. I will like to ask you @Barcanista why did u not condemn the shooting of the peaceful protest by Nigerian Police and Navy. it is the Nigerian state that will determine if this group will turn violent or not by the way they handle it for "He that makes peaceful change impossible makes violent change an option". Though I will desire peaceful separation

Second of all, I believe this thread is in response to Reuben Abati's claim that Jonathan does not drink. I don't believe anyone would randomly ruminate over the issue because we are a drinking country.

Abati was only unknowingly campaigning against Jonathan again with his runny mouth.
that's Abati talking not GEJ claiming so, moreover the implication of that statement by Abati is simply that GEJ is not a drunkard and not that he doesn't drink at all. I read that comment by Abati.
