@every one, we must know that there is no rule to relationship with the opposite sex u simply adjust to the kind of girl or lady u are dealing with. Most times their maturity(sometimes maturity is not all about age) is the most decisive factor, to lady A if u wash for her she might take it for a ride but to lady B she will see it as a privilege. Personally I deal with ladies as they come D;There is NO ONE FORMULA FITS IT ALL. But ladies should know that as a standing order they shouldn't shout at their men...on the other hand no body have any right whatsoever to tell another man how to handle his lady. |

kernel501:I have never subscribed to the idea of the so called most populous black nation. The state is a means to an end not an end on itself. the state is a means to the happiness of the greater number of its citizens which is why the state exist. To satisfy the human beings it can call its citizens, once the state fail to satisfy that fundamental objective of its being I believe the people have the right to question its continuous existence. Whether they can overthrow the institution of the state is another matter of its own. But like always I am against any use of violence to achieve any objective. I can only employ violence to defend myself when attacked with violence and I see that there is no other means for defence of my person. |
kernel501:Nigeria have all it takes TP reject that ICJ ruling and stand their ground without little or no sanctions. Sanction from who, France? the truth of the matter is like I said before Nigeria is not as aggressive as they should be in foreign policy. we are just too lame and dull and acts before thinking. ordinarily Nigeria would have refused to go to ICJ no body would have forced them to go. look at Liberia and Siere Leone what is Nigeria's interest in taking the leading role they took in quenching the crisis there with all our human and material lost there. I have never seen a country so lame in foreign policy. IRAQ's case is different altogether the matter being NUCLEAR related issue that threatens the whole world |
kernel501:The big powers knows only their interest only and nothing more. like I argued before only if they see what they will benefit more from Biafra that their relationship with Nigeria have not offered them. For me China can easily support Biafra and the same goes for Russia with their new posture in international affairs. Saudi Arabia is under US manipulation and they will do US bidding but I don't know yet how US and their allies can forgo their interest in Nigeria. If the Niger Deltans(SS) willingly come into Biafra as I know that there is a likelihood, then Biafra must convince these big MNC oil companies to convince their home countries to support the Biafra course that their interest will be highly protected under the Biafra state and even woe them to establish a military base in Biafra and of course secret deals will be signed. without taking care of these big power interests the achievement of Biafra will remain a mirage |
fr3do:Any country can choose to place economic sanction on Nigeria depending on the country's existing relationship with Nigeria at that time and their interest in the matter under consideration. U don't expect Britain and their allies to just start placing Economic sanctions on Nigeria when their companies are operating in Nigeria. Note the following US and their allies interest in Nigeria in the Oil sector only; SHELL( English-Dutch with very high US Holding in shares), Total (French company), Elf (French company), Chevron ( US company), ExxonMobil (US company) these companies rank in the first five highest oil MNC in the world and are all into oil exploration in the downstream sector. I need not stress how much revenue that these companies contribute to their home countries and how far they go in supporting the ruling government in their country and u think these greedy first world countries will just damm their own interest to place serious embergo on Nigeria, no way. On the other hand if they see that they will do better by supporting Biafra I.e that their stake will go higher and they will gain more they may support Biafra but not without negotiating what is in it for them and their allies |
kernel501:there wouldn't have been any economic worever on Nigeria, just that Nigeria leaders are so naive. Which embergo could France the major supporters of Cameroon slam on Nigeria. its just what I call the naivety nature of Nigeria foreign policy and these old tired brains at NIIA that advises them. as far as am concern the concept of Africa as the centerpiece of Nigeria foreign policy is an expired milk |
Calculia:I am very conversant with the chapter and section u are talking about and that section doesn't mention anything about binding authority of international law or rulings. in fact no section of the 1999 constitution have that provision. states obey international laws as a goodwill for being parties to the signing of such laws. Also note that a state can decide not to be part of a formal pact or agreement that it signed earlier. note that the Sudanese president is being chased around is simply because US an d their allies can muscle him around in fact the field of international politics have been likened to be anarchical because of super power politics. Nigeria can decide to warn UN not to even think of sending any delegate into Nigeria for referendum so far as they can muster the political will to stand their ground as much as Biafra can declare their independence tomorrow with Russia SU27 jet fighters and Russia stealths stationed at strategic points to defend Biafra should Nigeria try any military action against Biafra. such is the anarchical nature of international law and politics |
AyakaDunukofia:Biafra was not mentioned in the post that was why I avoided it but if we must use it as an example. If ICJ determine that Biafra agitation is valid and should be tested through referendum, they cannot force Nigeria but can only persuade and urge Nigeria to conduct a referendum under the watch of International observers and UN teams. they can even go as far as sending a high delegation to urge !Nigeria to do so but that is where it ends. The question of whether Nigeria will listen or not will be a matter of who and who(countries) that are on Biafra side. where Russia, US and China are on Biafra side Nigeria may blink in the name of trying to obey international convention but where Biafra lack any of these super power alliances Nigeria can as well choose to look the other way. I am still waiting for the section of Nigeria constitution that says that international court of justice rule is binding on Nigeria |
[quote author=AyakaDunukofia post=40171446]If no international law takes predcedent over a country's constitution, why is Sudan's president Albashir hiding like a rat for years or why was Slobadan Milosovich of Yugoslavia arrested. The world body was established after the second world war cos of dirty tyrants and sado-masochists like Buhari. Biafra's won't be the first for Nigeria. The southern Cameroons were granted their right of opinion through the 1961 plebscite in a referendum by Nigeria, and was conducted UNDER UN's Supervision and NOT NIGERIA(no magomago)[/quote Biafra was not mentioned in the post that was why I avoided it but if we must use it as an example. Calculia:quote any section of Nigeria constitution that recognizes international criminal court rule to be binding on Nigeria. u don't need to remind me that we are talking international law because I know before commenting, I also said that the decision of ICC is of persuasive authority on Nigeria and not of binding authority on Nigeria quote me any where. Do u know that Nigeria could choose to disregard the ICJ ruling on bakassi Peninsula? By the way who enforces ICC rulings? |
For where? No international law takes precedent over any country's constitution. it contravens the Westphalia treaty establishing the modern state structure thus any rule of the UN is only of persuasive and not of binding authority on Nigeria. On the issue of a referendum to determine a seceding part's claim to right for self determination the truth of the matter is that a lot of political tricks can be brought to bear on the matter depending on the alliance that the seceding part have in the parliament with one or more factions in the house. I stand to be corrected but I don't think u need to amend any constitution. INEC can be used to settle the matter through referendum but like I said with the right political alliances. |
![]() rottennaija:lol I am laffing in Swahili my brother if u don't want your career progress to be threatened better close your eyes and mind your table. no even do like say u no wutsup dats d only way in public and civil service |
jonmu:For his portfolio that will be too much and am sure he will only have as much as the equipment that is for which service and at defence headquarters level the same can go. if u need which division and CDR that receive what u go to Army, Navy or Air Chief of staff as the case may be. if not the abnormal way that Nigeria system work Chief of defence staff should be in charge of all this joint service purchases while the whole intelligence network SSS, NIA, DMI and DIA report to the NSA and of course he will interface with Defence Chief and when necessary with the other services |
Bestbeelieve:mehhn F16 and the stealth u are talking about are too damm expensive and consider the time it will take to train airforce personnel to master them not to talk of stealth. I know that Nigeria air force are use to alpha jets already . Also F16 is a US made fighter Nigeria couldn't have procured it because of US antiNigeria stance that made them to block all arms purchase from their country |
Snipes009:don't forget that he is NSA not COAS, CNS or Chief of Air staff. the quarter master general of each of the services is suppose to take stock of their wares on their arrival, and acknowledge receipt. on the other hand there are administrative rules of how all this things work. Let's ASSUME this man is guilty on one of those charges he can still go scot free on technical grounds of one those administrative rules... |
InvertedHammer:noooo you cannot appear before the FEC unsummoned who go even allow him near the presidential villa. Moreover the FEC is an APC den, its just like advising an antelope to appear before a council of lions and lionesses in the lion's pride, we all know what will be the outcome. but wait a minute the committee's report shows that he was appointed in March when he said June 22, 2012. what is even this kind of committee that don't know their own term of reference. Nigeria politics and mediocrity. |
Eziachi:you are right but the govt side is also doing a lot of public damage on the man using the media to sell their change outlook, so he is simply trying to also do damage control to his personality through the media and even gain sympathy don't forget that in reality he is innocent until proven guilty. |
The way we jump into conclusion is too bad. u did not address or dispute any facts or figure he raised above only for u to jump into conclusion that he stole our money. we can only look at his side of the case or even argue it but only the court can decide if he is clean or not by the evidence presented before them. We all pray and work to get on top some day and who will wish if he is accused at the peak of his career like this man to be condemned without due diligence in his trial. Until we hear about the evidences against him and his defence and the court ruling let's not be fast to call him thief. These politicians both APC and PDP are all the same. If u follow their accusations upon accusations u go miss road o. |

Dnacode:let's leave Biafra matter now but Chukwu abiama translate to Chukwu mazu I he nine I.e the all knowing GOD(Omnipotent God) by extension Chukwu okike Abiama(obiara Mara, ama ama amasi amasi is simply God the creator and all knowing(omnipotent). Jehova is the Jewish name for the most high. Do u now expect to make it compulsory for a people to adopt the name that another culture call the almighty and relegate the name that their own culture call him. I think its simply a matter of choice. I think woteva any culture and language call the Almighty should be preserved for that culture. |
my question is why is this coming at the eve of 2015, why not make woreva this supplementary budget is meant to achieve a part of 2016 budget. On another hand is this loan going to be spend on capital or recurrent expenditure. the picture is not yet clear to me. Anybody in the house can elucidate. |
debbie:Hello pls what is the location for the job, I am in the east can I apply |
marlockj:hmm nairaland, why is it that when some people disagree with others they don't know how to form their words appropriately? u are sounding as if we are fighting, nawao. well I cannot even understand the point u are trying to make because your distasteful self did not allow the reasoning part of you to make a point and support it with whatever example u have. Altogether to correct some of your assumptions I am not married or an old man, I am just in my early 30s. secondly if u read my post u see where I said INWARD maturity so I mean not just age. it is what we experience that matures us not just age. Also I did not bash the poster, did I I simply said that when I saw that he is a student I held back my opinion, pls go back and read all my post and finally my friend I have never divulged my affair with a babe to friends. As a Young man I do have course to talk about babes but I don't tell or ask another guy what went on between the sheet. Also note that u can enjoy yourself as a young man but u can enjoy responsibly, by the way what is your definition of enjoyment. And now hear my personal opinion on the op of this thread; IF what he just posted truly happened and not a fiction and he is here writing about it then the op is grossly irresponsible. |
