Obilomatic: Mr IK just one simple question, please don't ask me to pay, I'm shipping in a 406 I to the country ND the purpose is for ehailing, like Uber, Bolt, Opay and indriver, do you think it's a wise idea because I'm tired of this Toyota cars, they're very mad and stupid cars. The ones I gave out for Uber I can't drive it because I'm used to driving Europe cars. Do you think 406 2007, 2.0L diesel engine would be good for ehailing? Don't kill yourself by yourself. shepherdchurch: I started this business 2 years ago. Today I have 8 cars. You have been a blessing to me and I have learnt a lot from you. This is supposed to be business, no sentiments at all. Most drivers are heartless. Give a driver a brand new mint car not tokunbo o and tell him to remit 10k weekly, some drivers will still default. Doing business in the country is tough. The hardest part of doing business in Nigeria is getting honest employees. Dru keep doing what your're doing. Most drivers here will hate you for saying the truth. Andrew, go get a life!!! |

dru23: Lately me (dru23). has been getting bashed regards to uber driver needing rest. I do not have issues with drivers resting..
One thing the people doing the bashing have to understand is that am running a business. Has a business man, I have duties and responsibilities. Most of guys don't know how partners get loans to start this business, nor do you guys care.
People have to know that every jobs comes with is own risk. Cops, firefighters, teachers ,street hawkers, bankers ,business men, oil ring workers, truck drivers etc. The most important thing is for you to know what you are getting yourself into. And some profession will require you to work long hours. And some jobs will take time away from your family. But it is up to the individual to figure out how they are going to navigate those risks or challenges.
It is not my job to help you figure it out for you . My job as a business man is to provide the tools for you to do your job...
Health issues and taking time off. I don't have issues with anybody taking time off. If you need to take time off to rest or attend to personal issues . Yes, take the time off. I have no issues with that, but when it gets to a point that your time off or personal issues starts to affect my business, than we have to part ways ...
You can't expect a business owner to be giving you time off all time and than expect them to hold your position for you till you come back.
Conclusion: As a business man , am here to run a business, am not a charity organization. Am not here to help solve people's issue. As a business man I will need to put my emotions aside and do what is right for my business. And you also as an employee you will need to do what is right for yourself.. Just because I run a business does not mean I have the funds to be generous to every employee.
To the ones out their bashing me and calling me names. Transport business is a very tough business. Has an investor you have to be tough as the drivers. Till today a former driver is still owing me over 100k naira. He knows who he is , and my last driver owes me 100k naira. The last driver was telling me he has three kids money is tight, etc. So with those loses what account would I write those loses to ?
Again am here to run a business and if people don't like how I do things .. They can always go to the bank and take out a loan . And than run their own business.. Transport business is a tough business and I have to be on my toes at all times... Then mind your fvcking business and stop acting like a driver that rests is lazy. Pple like u cannot even drive for 5hours straight. Slave Merchant |

"Those whose palm-kernels were cracked for them by a benevolent spirit should not forget to be humble" (Achebe 9).
This proverb means that a man who has found success and overcome obstacles with the help of divine intervention should display humility. |

pope191: The problem here is demand and supply, bolt and uber r not stupid, its all in the ratio of request to availability of cars. The higher d fare, the more available the drivers. The lower d fare , the more available d riders What's d essence of more riders when they can't get a driver When u request from a cheaper app and u couldn't get a driver, u will definitely be forced to request d expensive one And as Nigerians, we normally get used to everything with time. So Uber and bolt should reason with d drivers and come up with something meaningful |

Felicity001: Guys please I need concrete suggestions. This is my Honda V6 I told you guys about, I bought it some years ago while working as an engineer with Huawei. This is what I’ve been using for ehailing but cost of maintenance is killing for a family man like me, it’s like I’m working for mechanics and fuel stations owner and Uber/taxify.
Now, this is what I need, a good car that can do the work wella because I can’t afford waiting anymore for a job, I’ve applied and attended too many interviews without been called upon, my wife and kids can’t starve while I’m doing that. I just put the car up for sale yesterday I’m looking at 600-700k maybe to go for HP but how long will I wait to get a buyer is another issue.
But I just thought of something in my sleep now, is there any insurance complaining that I can do a swap with for either a corrola or Honda Civic 03/07 with then probably pay back the balance weekly till the full payment is done? Please if you know of anyone or dealer who can go on this deal kindly provide me with contact details let me walk in there an strike a balance with them.
Please help a brother with family, pikin and oga landlord no understand daddy no get work ooh they must eat and go to school and rent must be paid. NEPA, LAWMA, security and other bills are all pilling up I really need help and urgently. Send me a "hi" on WhatsApp 07084051458. I want to show u a way |

"Oga" in Nigerian Uber context means ; an uneducated employee that u don't want to respect, u just call him d oga so u don't sound rude. Don't call me oga, I'm not an uneducated person, neither am I Ur employee, and definitely we are not mates, u are either older or I am. So let's just respect ourselves the civil way. |
