The governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Senator Magnus Ngei Abe, has finally addressed his rift with Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. Abe, in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Parry Saroh Benson, said his rift with Amaechi was political owing to the fact that the minister publicly declared not to support his governorship aspirations. The senator said, “I am amused by some of these allegations and stories making the rounds. For the records, the disagreement between me and the Minister (Amaechi) is political. He is the leader of the party but he has said publicly on several occasions that he can never support me’’. “That means the entire country knows that he cannot pretend to be neutral or an unbiased umpire in any matter in which my interest and the interests of those interested in me are concerned’’. source: http://www.kendogist.com/2018/05/senator-abe-why-im-at-loggerheads-with.html

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers state seem to be washing their dirty linens in the open over the just concluded ward congresses in the State. In an apparent response to claims that everyone has made enormous sacrifices for the survival of the APC in the state, the Senator representing Rivers South-West District, Senator Magnus Abe has maintained that he made sacrifices too. Senator Abe in a Facebook post said he is being pushed to join issues with the leader of the APC in the South-South, Rotimi Amaechi. He stated how the bills for the contract of lawyers that prosecuted the Elections Petition Tribunal were footed, stressing that the Minister of Transportation was not fully responsible for the bills. The Senator also touched on his strained relationship with the Deputy National Secretary of the APC, Victor Giadom and how he appointed the latter, his kinsman as Director-General of the Dakuku Peterside Campaign Organization for the 2015 General election. According to him, “I have restrained myself from joining issues with members of our party unnecessarily. All this acrimony will not help the party and it deflects from the main issues. “But just to set the records straight I have always expressed appreciation to the Hon minister of transportation for his support to all of us in the 2015 elections including the court process. “All of us who took part in the process will recollect the many contributions made by others including myself. I have refrained from talking about all these so as not to give the impression that I am in any way unappreciative of the contributions of others. “The logistics challenges and others were enormous but we came together as one family and shouldered it all. Who paid all the hotel bills for the lawyers in Port-Harcourt. “Yes the bills for the lead counsel was paid by the minister but all other lawyers were paid for by myself and the members of the House of Representatives. “I am still receiving demands from some the lawyers for outstanding legal bills which we are still paying on behalf of the party including some of those who are today on the “other side”. I have never gone on National television to talk about it. “Lastly, after the 2014 primaries I was given the privilege by the party to nominate a DG for the Dakuku campaign and I nominated Victor Giadom. He was not at the meeting when I nominated him and I could have nominated anyone else if I so wished. “The expectation was that the DG coming from me will work to close the Gaps in the party. How well that worked is left for the public to Judge. It should be clear that taking a position I gave to you cannot be a source of disagreement with me. There must be another reason. “Attached here is a recent demand notice from one of our lawyers at the tribunal which I am still dealing with. “Let elders behave like elders, let us tone down the mudslinging and focus on how we can save the party.” On his view, former Leader of the Rivers state House of Assembly, Chidi Lloyd told newsmen in Port Harcourt that Senator Abe has been the highest beneficiary of Amaechi’s magnanimity. Lloyd who said ambition is free, likened Abe’s ambition to Shakespeare’s classic, Macbeth: “When you the distinguished Senator, you remember Macbeth whose ambition led to kill his guest, Duncan.” “It gets me really insensed when some people say they have made sacrifices for the party. What sacrifice is greater than what I Chidi Lloyd made on July 19, 2013. “I foiled the first civilian coup in the Rivers state House of Assembly. For that reason, I was sent to prison and handcuffed. A place where I never thought I would ever be. “If not for what some of us did back then, will some people have been Senators today.” source: http://www.kendogist.com/2018/05/fallout-of-ward-congresses-rivers-apc.html

The Kogi State Chief Judge, Justice Nasir Ajanah, has granted an interim order for Senator Dino Melaye to be transferred to the National Hospital Abuja, while hearing for his bail conditions will be heard on Monday, next week. The Chief Judge gave the order at the High Court in Lokoja, on Friday when Counsel to Senator Melaye, Mike Ozekhome (SAN) filed processes for motion seeking the bail of the Senator who is standing trial for conspiracy and gun running among other charges brought against him. The interim order, the Chief Judge explained was to enable the senator receive medical attention, following the lack of facilities at the Police Clinic in Lokoja where he is been held in police custody. The Chief Judge disclosed that the interim order became necessary as the prosecution could not provide a federal prison in Abuja that has the required health facilities that will take care of the health condition of Senator Melaye. The Chief Judge ordered the commissioner of police to be served through his counsel in court, while the Senator be taken to the National Hospital Abuja, still under the custody of the Police. In his submission for bail, Mike Ozekhome, counsel to Sen. Melaye prayed the court for a speedy trial of the matter. The Senior Advocate told the Chief Judge that his client’s health was critical, hence the need for him to be transferred to the National Hospital Abuja for proper medical care, before the next adjoined date. Ozekhome, through a consolidated motion, added that only the living stands trial, urging the prosecution counsel to heed to the request to save the life of his client. Earlier, the prosecution counsel, Alex Iziyon, SAN, represented by I.E Otome, said they were not objecting to the consolidated motion. The case has been adjourned till Monday, the 7th of May, for parties to argue for the bail condition of Senator Melaye. source: http://www.kendogist.com/2018/05/breaking-dino-melaye-kogi-cj-orders.html

Former BBNaija 2018 housemate, Ifu Ennada has showered praises on fellow ex-housemate, Cynthia Nwadiora popularly known as Cee C. Ennada took to her Instagram page to describe Cee C as a true definition of a mighty strong woman. She wrote: “My #WCW is @ceec_official for a number of reasons. We were not the closest of friends in the #Bbnaija house, but something about you stood out. “I remember the times you wanted to tell me your story and how we could make a movie out of it. You said you had always gotten everything you wanted thanks to your awesome dad, but had some struggles that shaped you in certain ways. You never told me these things, but I could relate to you in some ways because of my past… I like how you’re out and doing big things. I like how you’re very warm and receptive. “I like how you left all that happened in the house back there and you’re becoming the true definition of a Mighty Strong Woman. So many things could break a woman, but you stand strong and show no weakness. “The other day you asked me if I still do my shutouts… Well, here’s one – Shout outs to your father, he’s your biggest cheerleader! He reminds me of my dad. Everyone should have a dad like yours. You’re a Beautiful CeeC and I wish you nothing but the best! Cheers, Ifu”. source: http://www.kendogist.com/2018/05/bbnaija-2018-ifu-ennada-lauds-cee-c-as.html cc: lalasticlala, Seun, Finest Boi

Presidential aspirant, Fela Durotoye, has charged married Nigerian women to deny their husbands who do not have permanent voter’s card (PVC) sex. He said that wives should ‘lock up’ their husbands who don’t have their PVCs by July 1, 2018, while urging young unmarried women to ward off romantic interests from men who haven’t acquired theirs. Durotoye made the statement while making a presentation on The Platform in Lagos on Tuesday. He said, “We need to get our PVCs. PVC is not a nice thing to have, it’s a need thing to have if you want a future that you can choose. In fact, for me PVC is not just permanent voter’s card, it’s the power to vote your choice. “I have started a little movement where I’m asking every young lady to insist on asking any toaster for their PVC first. No PVC, no toasting. “More than that, I’m working to collaborate with a few key people to ensure that every married woman whose husband does not have a PVC by July 1st, they’ll lock up. No PVC, no jangilova .” source: http://www.kendogist.com/2018/05/no-pvc-no-sex-for-men-fela-durotoye.html cc: lalasticlala
