BlackLion93: Salut!
I started reading this thread vigorously, albeit silently after my application on June 3rd, 2017. Though, I read www.cic.gc.ca deeply before applying, I figure this forum is great for extra help.
I must say that certain approval profile descriptions here gave me some hope during the wait and my hope is that my profile can do the same to some other person(s). Here goes,...
Applied online: June 3rd Biometrics call: June 5th Approval message/Passport request: August 2nd Passport submitted: August 3rd Passport collection: Awaiting.....
Documents submitted and arrangement format: -Study Permit Application (filled as accurately as possible and multiply-checked) -CAQ (for Quebec applicants) -Under Passport (Passport data page + Police Clearance certificate) -Under Letter of Acceptance (Offer of Admission Letter, C$250 acceptance fee, NYSC discharge certificate [2017], BSc Certificate [2016], Undergraduate Transcript, WAEC Certificate) -Under Proof of financial support (sponsors' six months bank statement, sponsors' proof of business, sponsors' proof of asset, accommodation support letter from relative residing in the area) Sponsor: Parent -Under Proof of medical exam (e-Medical printout obtained at Children's & Consultant Practice where I did my upfront medicals) -Under Digital Photo (Digital photo size as specified on “cic” website) -Family Information form (filled as accurately as possible and multiply-checked) -Under Proof of relationship (Dad's passport data page & my birth certificate) -Schedule 1 - Application for a Temporary Resident Visa Made Outside of Canada -Under Letter of Explanation (Study plan- With six short paragraphs, I answered relevant questions [purpose of visit, current activity, intentions after study etc.] - about 1 page)
Course progression (BSc. Elect Engrng--> M.Eng Elect/Comp Engrng)
Re-iterating what “gurus” here have said; My two cents: Keep application as simple, relevant (as your case may be) and accurate as possible (I do not think online or paper application affects decision speed much), Pray and keep up your faith and positivity, Read and ask questions. Bonne chance tout le monde! Goodluck Everyone! Congrats.. @Alantobie, you can go thru this approval. I'll be applying to Concordia for winter too, that's why your application struck a muscle in me. My file is still being reviewed by graduate school. Get your GMCS so we can be sure of what their claim is. I'll have to be honest with you, a friend was also denied in June for insufficient fund and he fired back same application almost immediately with an explanation that the fund was more than sufficient and she was approved after just 2 weeks |

Alantobie: So guys I found out my application was rejected because I didn't pay tuition fees...that it was perfect until then. I basically covered home ties and every other issue apart from that. Anyways I have asked to defer my admission and will pay tuition fees. I heard it is an unwritten policy that you must have paid your school fees though it doesn't guarantee you the visa. Good luck guys Guess you are going to concordia? They don't accept tuition until you touch down in Quebec. All thy accept is 250 cad acceptance fee. Sorry about your delay. I personally know 2 people whose visa were approved to study at concordia last month without paying tuition. Cheers, it'll end in praise |

Though I am yet to secure an admission into concordia, as decision on winter intake is ongoing, I already received my TRV,. The vision was so clear. I will remind The house when it manifests.. |

lanrayx: Hello house, is there any difference between an academic statement of purpose and letter of intent, if so can anyone let me know the difference
NB: the statement of purpose is for concordia Is the application for fall 2018?because winter application closed in June for Concordia |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by MeinKampf: 6:02pm On Jul 22, 2017 |
Opistorincos: You have to remove the back and look for two gold spots there, remove your battery flex(be careful with it), look for a metal and use it to touch the two gold spots at the same time, keep it like that till you are able to insert your usb chord and your system detects your phone. I will be waiting for a feedback Bro there are many spots, I don't know the 2 you are talking about. . Please I'll be glad if you can describe how to identify the spot |

Opistorincos: I am not disputing the fact that it might be the charging port, what I am saying is, in this kind of situation, it is more likely to be the rom. You are to flash your former rom in fastboot mode. I assume you know how to use miflash Bro Pls I need your assistance as I need to get a solution to my phone. The battery is totally flat now that it can't be booted into fastboot mode, and I don't know where the testpoint is and how to flash rom through it. The battery can't be charged externally because it has flex instead of terminals. Pls I won't mind any assistance you or any other person can render to bring my Redmi Note 4 MTK back to life. Thanka |

You are to flash your former rom in fastboot mode. I assume you know how to use miflash Unfortunately I didn't back my former rom up. And I won't mind if you either explain how to use miflash (is it the one I used in unlocking bootloader? ) or show me where I can read it up. Thanks |

Opistorincos: Connect to a system and keep the chord plugged in while trying to access fastboot mode, i don't think it should go off If I access it, what exactly should I do in fastboot mode? And isn't there a possibility that it's the charging port that is bad? |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by MeinKampf: 3:52pm On Jul 20, 2017 |
Gptech: Just hoping the battery is not bad, you should have done something earlier before it went dead. Do as GrandMufti said, if it can't charge via USB, then open the phone, charge with desktop, and flash another rom. Thanks bro. I only noticed when the battery was less than 20%. I need how to open the phone. |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by MeinKampf: 3:20pm On Jul 20, 2017 |
Opistorincos: There is a strong indication that it is as a result of the latest rom you just flashed. Check if your phone can be booted into the fastboot mode by pressing the volume(-) key and the power key together for a few seconds. If this doesn't work, you will have to remove the back of your phone in order to try it via testpoint It can boot to fastboot mode but the issue is that the battery is empty. It can even power on but I dies immediately because the battery is on 0% |

Opistorincos: It's not something you'll want to experience because it is way too buggy Please what do you suggest I do to my note 4x MTK, the battery is down and the phone stopped charging the 2nd day I updated my firmware. How do I power the battery again or can it the charging port problem? The phone is less than 4 months |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by MeinKampf: 2:21pm On Jul 20, 2017 |
GrandMufti: Yes check YouTube on how to open the back cover. If the battery is swollen, then it's probably damaged and you'll need to get a new one. If it's not swollen, disconnect the battery from the phone and reconnect.
But if your pc can recognize your phone, leave it to charge for a long time then reflash My PC doesn't recognize the phone and while watching YouTube I saw a magnetic material used to separate the battery, where can I get it. Thanks |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by MeinKampf: 10:51am On Jul 20, 2017 |
GrandMufti: Can you open the back and check if the battery is swollen?
If it's not, try combination of different charges/usb cord. Try a different charging source
This note 4 mtk is notorious for heating and going off unexpectedly You mean I should loose the phone to check the battery?if I eventually do that, don't you think I should just use a desktop to charge the battery and flash another rom? Probably the initial one though I didn't back it up. Thanks |

SURGEE: https://www.csis-scrs.gc.ca/scrtscrnng/index-en.php#bm02
Abeg help touchlite the matter.
It's straightforward anyway... I think we are getting clues on why applications take longer time to process. If CSIS has given up to 8 weeks to come up with findings on background check, then does it mean that countries with less than 8 weeks processing time pose a lesser risk to Canada security? |
