The MD of XYZ company sent this memo via mail to his staff while on vacation the US with his wife.
He may likely be staying for a month or two before coming back.

There have been series of complaints from his staff in his company that the cleaner who happens
to be his inlaw and who also lives with him in Abuja has not been cleaning the office.

Initially the MD made a call to the GM instructing him to inform the staff to be doing the cleaning themselves
since the cleaner won’t be available all the time because he`s running errand for him (the MD)
and anybody that fails to clean should resign.

The staff felt insulted that how can they be doing cleaning work, that they were not employed for that.
The GM had to report back about the feelings of the staff to the MD,
and the MD had to make it official via mail to all the staff.



Below is the mail.




[b]Dear All,

Stanley(The Cleaner) will not be steady in the office for some time and I expect the
office to remain neat at all times. Chioma (The Secretary) you must be at the office by 7 am daily
and at the latest before 7.30 daily as I expect everyone to report by 7.30am. You will need to organize
yourselves and see that the office is kept clean.

We do not receive any customers in the office therefore we all contribute solely to the dirt.
We should be able to clean our own mess.
Therefore Chinyere (Marketer), Oghene(Marketer) and Charles(Marketer)
will see to it that the main office the kitchenette and the toilet within that enclosure is kept clean.

Chioma (Secretary) will maintain her reception and Francis(Accountant) will take care of his office/store.
And both of them (Chioma & Francis) will clean the toilet by the reception.
As adults I am sure you can act as a team and get things done.

GM please see that the above is complied with.
