PoliticsRe: Enugu Catholic Church Budgets N335 Million For Bishop's Installation by mensdept: 2:04am On Jun 05, 2013
Garri the 1st: What nonsense!!!

Christianity is fast becoming a FRAUD....

SMH
Religion in NIGERIA is a fraud. Adeboye and WInners are buying large plots of land and private jets, and now Catholics who were at forefront of political empowerment are joining their silly CAN folks to do Owambe.

Meanwhile moslems in the north are wearing bedsheets, and bombing, maiming, and boning little 11 year old girls in rear nyash day in and day out.

What a country for the so-called "men of god" who are speaking to god daily.
PoliticsRe: Achebe Drew The World Closer- Obama by mensdept: 1:59am On Jun 05, 2013
I thought Gowon The Mad was saying quite the opposite. That's why that old soldier boy will die without being considered a hero by anybody.
PoliticsRe: Am Afraid The Is Tearing Naija Apart. by mensdept: 11:55pm On Jun 02, 2013
Having been born, bread and schooled in the north, I cannot hide my ascertion that the north is heading for the divide of this country, even when its so obvious that they wud be worse-off for it.
Am begining to think the FBI had the northern nigeria in perpective, when it predicted the "the fraction of nigeria" by 2015.
Am so afraid for naija.
#just thinking out loud#
WHy are you afraid again?
PoliticsRe: Buhari Faults Clampdown On Boko-Haram Members by mensdept: 11:54pm On Jun 02, 2013
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article17695.htm

This is the definition of terrorism as defined by the US federal criminal code. There is no difference between the terror exhibited by Boko haram and that of ND militants.Terror is terror no matter who the culprits are !
Since 1966, the Nigerian government, according to your classification, has virtually been a terrorist group against its own citizens
PoliticsRe: Abia State Governor Mid Term Project. by mensdept: 11:39pm On Jun 02, 2013
For a man that has been selected as governor for the last 6 years, and all you can post are buildings that resemble architecture from the 1950s?

If "haters" are saying that they "hate" the clownish governor, then at least its very good for once.

He remains the worst governor in the history of Black Africa.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Faults Clampdown On Boko-Haram Members by mensdept: 11:36pm On Jun 02, 2013
HNosegbe: *sigh*

There are three key differences here that Buhari doesn't seem to realise (or is unwilling to acknowledge):

1. The Niger Delta militants (admit it or not) had legitimate grievances and aspirations with regard to the (non-)utilization of the oil wealth (grievances which I share) while Boko Haram is a full-blown insurgency seeking to Islamise their region if not the whole country (aspirations which are ridiculous, to put it mildly).

2. The acts of violence in the ND were mostly limited to kidnappings and abductions, after which the victims were released. Boko Haram, however, have gone out on a deliberate killing spree, bombing, shooting and raiding banks, police stations, drinking spots, the UN building, Mogadishu barracks etc. Heck, they even tried to hoist their own flag!!!

3. The Niger Delta boys accepted amnesty (well at least most of them did) but BH has obviously foreclosed that possibility, despite the obvious willingness of the FG to grant it to them. So what gives?

I'm not denying that the security forces have been quite heavy-handed in their approach to the BH issue (even from the time of Yusuf Mohammed) but we CANNOT keep comparing the Niger Delta militants (apples) with Boko Haram (grapes). They're as different as night and day.
Agree 100%. Funny enough the Northern governors have supported the strike against Boko Haram, so it is what it is.
I only wished that the Niger Delta folks would also hold their own governors who (Ibori, Alames-, Attah, Odili, etc) have looted tens of millions of dollars and failed them as well, accountable.
PoliticsRe: Adeboye Doesn't Comment On National Issues To Avoid Influencing People by mensdept: 11:30pm On Jun 02, 2013
Why would Adeboye talk about politics?

Really, think about it.

You want his congregation to stop the whole pastor worship and (re) focus on nation building? Do you know what that implies?

That means not only a possible revolution, but holding leaders and all those who have been deceiving the masses accountable, including the very man named Adeboye.

Yes.

SO he is keeping quiet because he, along with Winners chapel and the other Holy Ghost this and that churches are the ones benefiting from the chaos called Nigeria.

Remember Europe in the Middle Ages? Which institutions benefited from the chaos? Pastors and the like.

So if he says to his "flock", that they should hold their leaders accountable, and spend time organizing themselves to engage in real nation building activities, he has basically signed off the power and loot he would have gotten with people putting their energy in other things than vigils and prayer camp B.S.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Go Better With Time by mensdept: 2:17am On May 30, 2013
Afam4eva: This is another option but judging from the body language of Nigerians, satan stands a better chance of making heaven than this happening. I'll stick to something more realistic than idealistic.
I agree with you, I have no problem with that statement. Just a shame it is this way for Nigerians.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Go Better With Time by mensdept: 2:14am On May 30, 2013
Its not a matter of Naija go betta with time. That echoes the same complacent attitude that is widespread. How about Naija go beta when we rid ourselves of corrupt leaders and all these pastors all over the place.

PoliticsRe: Is Democracy Worth Celebrating In Nigeria? by mensdept: 2:04am On May 30, 2013
This democracy was installed by military leaders to promote their interest and their friends of the political class. WHen other countries are celebrating revolutions and movements, we are throwing Owambe.

Did you guys see the video of the governors, and how local and toutlike they were and are. I thought it was only Theo Orji that was a clown? See, we are in big shyt.

PoliticsRe: The Rising International Profile Of Lagos (pics) by mensdept: 3:44pm On May 26, 2013
These pictures give a false impression of the city/state of Lagos and don't show what many Nigerians try to bury and ignore, that is, the shameful, stinking, overcrowded and polluted parts of Lagos that are the MAJORITY of the area.

We are always wanting to imitate serious nations and countries, copying how they dress and dance and have parade, yet we are cowards when it comes to having a similar revolution, and shedding blood lol.

On the contrary, those pics show the potential that We the Africans can be, but it is not by a patch patch method, and we cannot sweep our filth that the WHOLE WORLD smells under the 3rd mainland bridge, where suit and tie, and think we are now big boys.
PoliticsRe: FAAN To Earn Over N126bn Annually From Remodelled Airports by mensdept: 3:37pm On May 26, 2013
Its too bad it took this long for Nigerians to take their airports seriously. All those governors and senators and minisers and heads of states (like Buhari) that could not care to do at least one major thing in the country that would benefit future generations.

As for the Enugu airport, this just shows that the SE leaders were nothing but a bunch of looters like leaders in other regions. Orji Kalu and co that are making noise could not have the know how to unite with their regional thieve leaders to accomplish what farmers did in Imo state in the 1980s.
PoliticsRe: Igbos Please Vote Wisely Come 2015 by mensdept: 3:33pm On May 26, 2013
People in this country need to make sure vagabonds are not rigged into positions, especially in Abia state where all the non performing officials from state house up to governor, were all "re-elected" for another wasted 4 years.

Unfortunately the "authorities", whether in Ghana or 9ja, have made it possible for the people to be deceieved in their tens of millions.

PoliticsRe: Alamieyeseigha's Pardon Was Approved By Yar’adua by mensdept: 2:27pm On May 21, 2013
GEJ should have ordered the arrest of this man and he should have been in jail up till now. Very soon he will be like Ngige and contest for senate under the "pardon", and people will be praising him for "Commisioning" one toilet.
PoliticsRe: Senate Approves State Of Emergency by mensdept: 2:13pm On May 21, 2013
Of course the senate is going to approve it, along with the Northern governors. Wasn't it obvious to you folks?

The Northerners are enjoying the booty of the country, both in money and in actual nyash. They know that Boko Haram is getting out of control and can even remove them from power or cause the country to divide. Either way, the Northern elite can lose, thus they are fully support for a rather unprecedented move of sending troops to Northern states during civilian rule.

Meanwhile,

Tinubu and his political maestros who play politics very well overestimated themselves, thinking they could get some support from the northerners for their "No to emergency rule" stance. Unfortunately for them, the Northern elite can play politics very well, and did not need Tinubu's noise to take the obvious decision and keep their milk and honey flow continuing without end.

PoliticsRe: Orji Cuts Visit To Attend Collapsed Building Victims by mensdept: 2:05pm On May 21, 2013
Abel202: Its unbelievable that someone here asked someone to take a trip to Abia to see the legacies T.A.Orji is building. Wao wao how funny, ridiculous and myopic some people could be. For the records - T.A.Orji is the worst governor in Nigeria. Repeat - T.A.Orji is the worst thing that has ever happened to Abia state. He has only legacies of filth at Aba, no drainage, no road maintainance, touts collecting all sorts of imaginary fees and stealing the state dry to show for his 6 years stay in gvt house. This so called governor likes grandstanding and media show off a lot. So if we read that he cut short a visit to Abuja to open up a panel of enquiry for a collapsed building we should be dancing azonto, yeye man.
His colleagues, the great Akpabio is there being awarded best governor in Africa (whatever that means) but Akpabio sure indeed is doing wonders in Akwa Ibom, while T.a.orji is always playing to the gallery and someone has the audacity to insult the intelligence of Abians by challenging someone to vist Abia and see. SEE WHAT IF I MAY ASK? IS IT THIS SAME ABIA THAT AM LIVING IN WHICH IS THE WORST GOVERNED STATE IN THE FEDERATION THAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT?
Orji Uzor Kalu and his mother messed up Abia state and crowned his mess by annointing this masquerade to succeed him. They have both succeeded in making Abia state a laughing stock while the like of Rochas, Akpabio, Fashola, Osheomole and Amaechi are doing great in their respective states. Shame on T.a.orji.
It shall be well with you. You can tell people who experience the truth and those who are paid to praise the so-called "Ochendo". Apparently, even those boys are semi illiterate and can't even do the deception very well LOL.

One day the people WILL deal with warrant chiefs in occupying state house.
PoliticsRe: Obama Skips Nigeria In His Africa Visit by mensdept: 2:01pm On May 21, 2013
Why are some of you people becoming so defensive?

speedyboi: Good riddance! Who wants his visit anywayshuh?
costan306: we dnt pple dat assasinate people with drones in the name of terror and we dnt nid people dat accuse other nations of developing WMD wen the spend billions of dollars upgrading their own
kingsley Mbang: Obama is not god that we should cry 4 hs visit 2 Naija. American ar d ones 2 beg us 2 visit them,After al they depended largely on our resources.
The truth is Nigeria is not relevant. The entire country is trying to get visa to go abroad, give birth to kids abroad, import cars and clothes from abroad, do red carpet events like Genevieve Nnaji and co imitating real actors from abroad, go for medical checkup abroad, and so on and so forth. So basically, being a Nigerian citizen is worthless and Obama knows this.
PoliticsRe: Orji Cuts Visit To Attend Collapsed Building Victims by mensdept: 1:54pm On May 21, 2013
J12: If it was Fashola who did this, his sycophants and gonzo supporters would fill the thread with praise singing. I know that Orji is a bad governor but right here, he did something worthy of commendation and should be duly commended for showing an important leadership quality.
Shuttup. What leadership quality. He's going to Abuja to do what? He's a nobody, and frankly, Nigeria knows he's the worse of the worse. You see that poor guy on the "hospital bed". That picture shows you that ABis state is quack and doesnt even have one modern hospital at all. You guys should be ashamed of this man, but because of N50 you want to smuggle in praise for this warrant chief that's destroying the future of Easterners

After looking at this thread and the posters of GEJ I could not help but to notice one thing.

The roads the posters were hung on. Those roads with the design and traffic to match shows a country on the brink. For those posting the pictures on the roads, were they thinking how bad thee area looked before posting the pictures?

Or did they just not care
Music/RadioRe: Kanye West Titles Album "Yeezus" by mensdept: 2:03am On May 21, 2013

in 2003 it was OBJ vs Buhari, and people were Buhari Buhari Sadu Buhari or whatever. Then in 2007 it was again Buhari, in 2011 Buhari, and even though 2013 is not even over, the same kids that haven't grown up and gone through puberty are again calling for Buhari in 2015, 2019, and in fact Buhari for life.

Are you people not ashamed of yourselves? AH AH!!!
