Nigerians abroad contribute a large chunk of money to Nigeria's GDP...to the tune of billions per year. I believe if Nigerians abroad should stop coming home..this will give the Nigerian government more incentive to eradicate corruption and provide stable electricity..because a large part of the GDP will be cut. The money that Nigerians have been sending home has made most Nigerians lazy and somewhat comfortable in their situation. Most Nigerians have become dependent on this money...and lost their sense of urgency to build a better nation for the future. Nigeria is due for a change from the status quo..this is the best way Nigerians abroad can contribute to that change...cut off all funds and aid to Nigerians back home...ABI?
I agree with you 100% and everyone that I've spoken to has long been saying this thing but also saying let's be honest with ourselves. Are Nigerians going to do this? Of course not. Are Nigerians going to tell all the pastors scattered everywhere that we dont need their service (TB Joshua, Adeboye, etc). No! Are Nigerians going to become like Egyptians and chase out thugs from office? No! Are Nigerians going to demand that they have their own National Airline to take them to and fro their country or else they wont come back. No! Are Nigerians going to ask for the trial of coup plotters like Buhari and IBB to stand trial for mismanaging funds, including former NFF officials that also mismanaged funds. No! Instead they will AUTOMATICALLY become defensive when you are pushing them to do what almost everyone wey get sense has done at least once in their history. Anything that pushes them out of their comfort zone will usually get the responses you get, which just are attempts to scrutinize the objective of nation building and tap out of the ring. I'd take it a step further and say the Western nations should stop granting Nigerians visa to come and give birth to children in countries like US. In fact that's whats happening now because those mothers and their husbands know that being a Nigerian is worthless and getting American PALE is the all in all. Imagine that. |
^^^Some of these men dont even qualify to drive taxi talkless of being "Governor". |
They are just reaping what they... |
Borrowing money from China is whats giving her headache, as well as having to on gen everyday in "Rich" country. |
We are a nation that just wants to copy other people, yet are not willing to copy their sacrifices in nation building. Why would a Nigerian president need helicopter? Because we have watched on CNN over the years the American guys cruising on their heli-toys and looking fly. Yet those presidents vigorously campaign for the peoples vote, create jobs, have their peoples interest at heart, bomb other countries that threaten the loot for their unborn kids, provide security for their people, and together with their assembly, abolish/discourage useless things like a national police, their judges wearing wigs like fools, and so on and so forth. |
Ngwakwe: Did you read this scrap you wrote. No governor can separate the brotherhood that exist in the East.Looks like you dont know how to edit your post very well. Anyway, this brotherhood has not been able to agree on even which 6th state that even the FG considered granting them, instead Anioma, Adada, Njaba, and even Ofe Owere Soup state were all staunchly promoted by selfish and politically immature statesmen. This brotherhood could not even manage the senate Presidency that was actually stripped from them, has not been able to get their international airport even half-way complete after a decade, and cannot boast of any modern city or establishment. Aba you talk of is among the worse places in West Africa, Umuahia cannot even call itself a "capital" and has the worse governor in Black history going to shrine. Those that did not attend the meeting had better things to do. |
No to rotating the presidency. In that situation, the ruling party or parties decide who is the most "safe" candidate to guarantee the safety of their loot. It also encourages clannish mindset even at the state level where one "zone" needs to rule or else nothing can be done, despite the fact they have their national and state assembly members and the likes. The so-called 6 zones and the states carved up were all British based, sustained by corrupt illegal military governments that wanted to divide first the Eastern Region, and then the people at large, entrapping them into small and unproductive units that would forever not develop or challenge anybody. We need to operate on the original four regions and from there decipher proper state creations out of those regions if we are to avoid nonsense and time wasting. |
Funny enough, if Buhari were to have said before, that the country needs to be split between East, West, Middle Belt, and Sharia North, or promised to do so when becoming President, then he will win the election, even in the Northern states. Its the obvious thing to do, if not, the what happened in Egypt would normally take place in Nigeria, except the pastors and the people are not interested in fighting for their rights. Instead, its joke after joke. |
Good luck to the kidnapped dude. Join the ranks of all those who arent in government but have been kidnapped in that Eastern Region. Thanks PDP and thanks Gowon |
The day our people take to the streets and demand change like EVERYBODY else in the world has done (na wah), then we will be able to put these "renowned" fools out of business, and turn their so-called money making power grabbing chapels into schools and hospitals for our very complacent population. Anytime you see a black African from Nigeria with the title "Primate", you know he must be a jokester straight up. |
This guy is still alive? Who is even caring about what he had to say? Was it the journalist or did he pay a courtesy visit to them? |
These so called SE or SE+SS meetings are bullshyt. Look at what these grown ups are saying and gisting about. First of all what is Theo Orji seriously going to say. Elechi, what has he done for Ebonyi people even last week? Or is Uduaghan who was partying with 2Face recently? Amaechi and Okorocha know those their fellow Easterners or SS neighbors are all quack who, instead of strategizing on developing a regional airport that will be international, building an effective autoban, or international seaport, or regional media hub, or how they can turn their oil producing region into Dubai, are talking about pepper soup. I dont blame them. How many of them were just rigged and appointed as Governor. |
ijaw citizen: The government of Ijawland will never sign any such "bilateral economic co-operation" with Igbo people. We will pepertuate you in your permanent landlocked state which God have in stock for you. The fact that we're cool with you guys now doesn't mean we've forgotten your wickedness of the past, we're still gonna treat your fcck-up in the near future. You will always be at our mercy in the future just as it is now under President Jonathan's administration. The Ijaws are mostly scattered in Bayelsa, Delta, and a little bit in Rivers State. These areas are among the poorest states in West Africa. From governors like Ibori who is in jail for stealing the peoples money, to senators and state assembly men who have been no call no show, this rascal from above is claiming Igbo people were wicked to Ijaw, even though Ijaws like MEND leader Asari, are living in big mansions enjoying with current and former Ijaw senators and "chieftains" while their people are eating bushmeat. Anyway, this entire idea of seperation is not going to work until usless leaders in the East are booted out first from office, like Theo Orji. They have no business parading as governors for these years and will surley take over the new republic if the split is tonight. |
Rossikk: Dummy. We should use 4 billion dollars to build a new Heathrow and another 4 billion dollars a year to maintain it, and let schools, hospitals, roads etc go to the dogs. I think making these topics fp opens them up to abuse by all sorts of compound illiterates like yourself.Yes In fact you should use 4 billion to build a better airport in this day and age. Do you know that Heathrow is bringing in more CASH for England than Oxford and the likes. Having a very modern and functional airport is a basic gateway to development and the "dummy" that you are referring too is actually smarter than you |
So the governor needs to tell the people that the FG is corrupt and people need to get off their nyash and restructure the country. |
garbage |
bittyend: The worst terminal at the Heathrow airport looks better than this.Exactly sambos994: Give some credit....when was the last time anyone did anything about this airport? What credit? So if the government added one new toilet you will ready to clap your hands and go to church to join one Pastor" to dance abi? |
kunlekunle: we lack integrity and work ethics.Thats the truth. Short and simple. |
And who will lead the "noble" idea? Is it the shrine going Theo Orji? Is it the uninspiring soon to be retired Peter Obi? Maybe the old man ELechi who hasnt done crap in the poor state of Ebonyi. I guess its the Apc abi APGA Okorocha that will reach out to who? Amaechi? Sure. |
This is outrageous, but for Nigeria, its business as usual. Can you imagine the Mallam head of NFF and his cohorts recently boasting that Keshi alone cannot choose the squad and this and that, yet, they cannot even keep up with the man's salary. Even Tahiti can do that. Until a revolution comes in this country to topple these useless men and their religious puppets, then it will be like this till kingdom come. |
dasparrow: @PostLOL. Some people are desperate to legitimize the illegible, the filth, the corruption, the complacency, the church church and pretend everything is okay and that this country is "Great". |
This is crazy. If it were the Chinese or even Egyptian leaders that waned to borrow 3 billion from Nigeria, their people would have rallied, revolted, and shot the useless leaders and their friends (aka PASTORS). But in Nigeria, nothing but Owambe and EPL. Why cant these idiots take from the external reserves that they boast of having $47 Billion or so? Or is it that Queen Eliza won't allow that to happen because her country is using it to finance their own children's development. |
Typically, when a white or INDIAN is in Nigeria, money must surely be involved. Period. |
Joblessnesss |
This is not anything new, except the allowances continue to increase. Where are the pastors and crusades now? Wheres Denrele that high boot boy? |
And what will Kayode do about it? What has he done to advance the country. The so-called NGF is a waste and as we've seen via Youtube, have a bunch of touts as its members. |
That stadium itself looks like Okija shrine. My goodness gracious. As usual, Orji's local boys are here writing "she is doing great, she is wonderful, she is this and that". She and her husband are a disgrace. Period. |
The gov of Akwa Ibom is doing a great job and has vision. He knows the best way for your people to survive is to develop their land. Kudos |
These cats really think they are celebrities because of a back drop. Abeg go and on your gen |
^^^ arent you guys tired of seeing post about Ghana when we have been talking about this year's confederation cup |
The six "institutions" in Owerri are all local in comparison to institutions around the world. This is not an indictment on the students, even though as by association, they too, cannot enjoy what their peers in Canada and even South Africa dey enjoy. Welcome to a state school called Imo State University and Florida State University

Balkan: It is understatement to say Igbos own only 73% of properties in Abuja. That estimate is conservative however, let the oil soup people keep deluding themselves. Igbo president is not the issue now cos. Igbos are far better than those tribes that have ruled Nigeria for decades. You can imagine if their was never a Nigerian civil war, I don't think any oil soup man would have a place in Lagos. They would have been living in osun ekiti and the rest. Politics in Nigeria is not our problem. A president is just one man. He can only empower few of his friends. The Igbos are doing the right thing. Why other tribes are fighting to be president, they busy acquiring wealth. In a way I see your point. But looking at history and frankly common sense, as long as the Igbo are scattered in the North and West making their "wealth", they will be prime targets for attack, and in fact, vulnerable to annihilation. Every two years they are killed in their thousands n the North, and in the West, abused, mocked, and even shot by folks that cant even count to ten in their own language. MEanwhile, the East has and had terrible governors- Mbadinuju, Nnamani, Egwu, Udenwa, Kalu, and now worse ones starring THEO ORJI, ELECHI, weak man Obi, sick man Chime, party crosser Okorocha, and the worse of National and state assembly members. This has turned the East into a very "Nigerian" area with no world class structures and/or institutes and if situation repeats as it were in 1966, Biafra has already lost. |
