ajadudu:Wouldn't that be nice. A world class medical center in the East, West, South, Middle Belt, etc. |
Dede1:Dede are you sure about that? The last time I checked the British handed over to the North and they are still Monolithic. Also, there's nothing wrong with power sharing if you have credible leaders, because naturally, the power sharing will fizzle out and give way to a then equal playing field. |
@OnlyTruth On paper Orji Kalu, Udenwa, Nnamani, Egwu, Odili, Ibori, Igbinedion, and co would never rule in the former or future (if so) Biafra. But in reality I wont be surprised if they are MPs in a new Biafra and go for 2nd terms. In the case of Anambra state, a compromised and weak APGA was actually "given" the governor slot, just like PPA was "given" to Imo (until the real switch back to PDP occurred lol). How could you expect Soludo to come from no where and win Anambra state when the Ubah's and their camp are still there, and PDP is content with controlling the state legislature, Fed. Reps and Senators? Now, if the mentality does change for a new Biafra or even for the current SE/SS zone(s), then yes, I can't see Orji (Theo or Kalu) sitting sideways in State House. But as you should know, many in those states and throughout Naija arent serious about that type of change. |
@OnlyTruth Well what can I say. At least your response is well thought and actually makes some sense However, how long will Igbo people use the Biafran Experience as the reason for their decline? You say Igbo people have done self help. I guess you are saying Imo+Abia people funded and built their own airport and it's functioning and In Onitsha you'll find many Igbo doing marveloussly' well despite the pollution and overcrowding situation. But that could not have happened unless you had some form of good leadership (i.e. Mbakwe, Obi). Even now, there are those who want to be "given opportunity and positions and a fair playing field". But this is Nigeria/Africa, and nothing is given for nothing, especially when your leaders/people are more interested in managing instead of their right to civil life. |
Lets answer the question, White Americans who voted for Obama like your picture and like the fact that he's the President BUT There's a growing number of Whites that dont like it, and many have rebranded themselves as TEA Party, and Change for America, and all types of gimmicks, So we'll see in the election later this year where US stands. By the way, what does Europe have to do with this? |
Again my point is that More actions like the Above targeting corrupt Africans will be more constructive in my opinion
Yes, this is true, Those leaders have for too long visited the US and UK to do as they wish. But in those countries common sense law occurs. Only if our people wakeup in NAIJA and ban him as well |
This happened during OBJ/Atiku and will continue to happen. What are people in that state saying about it, Nada |
@OnlyTruth and what is your "solution" on this thread ![]() The thread statement was " If we must respect the zoning arrangement, then we can as well divide Nigeria" If we must respect the zoning arrangement, why cant we ensure that leaders are held accountable. If we divide Naija why cant we ensure leaders of those "countries" are held accountable. You divorce one girl because she spent so much of your money, only to be single and spend more than you can afford to, dosent make sense. Imagine a useless Orji Kalu ruling in the new Biafra, only for Anambara folks to start mess, or Rivers people fighting and all, because we separated from Naija without fundamentally changing our mentality first. |
@OnlyTruth It would be arrogant for me to say I have the answer to Igbo/Nigeria problems. I don't and unlike many here wont pretend to be an expert lol. In fact it would take more than mere words online to generate an EPIC CHANGE. But what I have in the meantime are opinions, and to begin the so-called 40 years of domination in the East is a cheap way of concluding the Igbo plight as of today. Are Igbo people the only people in Nigeria to fight and lose? What about throughout the World (Germany, Japan, Mexico, Vietnam)? Stop blaming Nigeria for all your woes when some of your people are more interested in speaking Yoruba, business contracts, etc., instead of attending OHANEZE meetings that at the end of the day will issue a useless COMMUNIQUE. There doesnt have to be an Igbo assasination of an Igbo by an Igbo to say our leaders love each other. There's political/economic/social assassination and prostitution happening there in your LGA, and it doesnt have anything to do with the War Victors. When in Abia, OBJ asked us about Orji Kalu, and said people should not be asking him (OBJ) about funds, but their governor as to what he's doing with the federal allocation+NDDC change, what happened to the Inland Port Project, Aba Roads, etc. |
For some of you guys that just speak without thinking, you will find that sentiment can be a dangerous thing The zoning arrangement was in fact a popular tool used by leaders that be to rule Nigeria without rocking the boat. OBJ used it in the 70's to double promote YarAdua to have a "Muslim" deputy. IBB the same with Ukiwe, Abacha as well, till the present date. Of course it is not in the constitution proper, but obviously part of Naija's history. What is also part of our history is that all the states that some of us are bragging about are creations of MILITARY DICTATORSHIP (except for the former MIDWEST REGION made in a "democracy"). Now with all the mess, we have managed to sustain all of that with 6 zones, in which the major parties have agreed that positions should be rotated, even at the state level where in IMO STATE, ORLU zone is fighting OWERE and OKIGWE zones for who should be governor lol. So breaking up the country because we have six zones doesnt erase our problems. We need good leadership and courageous men and women. |
@ RoadStar At least someone here has a master command at knowledge. Your post was in short, a better answer to what has happened and is happening to the Igbo. Others would come on here and give us BS talk of Ohaneze being the "AREWA CF and AFENIFERE of the Igbos" lol. Igbo politics is as of today, dominated by brokers (including some in Ohaneze), who are trying to grab from the Nigerian loot. Many Igbo persons in power are either engaged in this or too afraid to speak up for what is right, because if they do, Nigeria will sack them and gladly find many IGBO willing to take their kins place, thus too, being guilty. Then those who do speak up, find a general lack of support from their region, and often are forced into early retirement like the Senate Presidents from Enugu (Nnamani) and Ebonyi (Anyiam). |
@ Justcash AND the immature ANDREW UWEH You guys are not serious lol. The original question was where are the Igbos in this Rotational Presidency, and in effect, they are no where, not even among the VICE, SPEAKER, etc. Ohaneze is and I repeat, IS IRRELEVANT. In your naive mind you want to put them on the same level as SERIOUS groups that actually command a following in their regions so that YOU or IGBO people will not feel left out. Well let me tell you as someone who has lived in the East and has just come from that country------OHANEZE is absolutely irrelevant. You dig? In your local government they have no infrastructure, and in Mr Uweh's senatorial zone, nothing. How can we be talking about Ohaneze controlling politics when the core Eastern States are all under several different political setups (i.e. APGA, PDP, PPA, etc, and controlled by persons who are accountable to their godfathers from the North and West. The Igbo people, like the NFF, have to go back to the drawing board. Simple. |
@Tcrack God bless you (but without the insults) |
At least Nigeria is not finishing # 32 ![]() |
Kanu you did well. You were better than many players who wore that jersey, and a better player than many people here on Nairaland castigating you. So I hope others like Yakubu would follow your footsteps, |
@ Dede and Supereagle What are you guys talking about? Are you guys adults or kids that are on this forum and not reading your homework Of course Siasia can coach the SUPER EAGLES. Where was Dunga (coach of Brasil in case you don't know) coaching before and BRASIL hired him ahead of all those EPL coaches you guys have been brainwashed with. That same Dunga coached the BEIJING 2008 OLYMPICS, in which they crashed out to Argentina 3-NIL. Yet today many of those players are kicking butt in SA with guess who, Dunga. And the US coach Bradley, no European club on his CV folks, just sheer hard work without a GODFATHER in the FA. Give good local coaches support and a chance. Lets grow up for a chance, |
Well lets see if an investigation happens, cant believe all these journalist stories just like that. |
I agree with Osaze, but unfortunately the short playing time he received in SA, he didnt do much. Amodu was not a good coach, and Lagerback too wast a good coach, hence a regret for firing Amodu. People are quick to blame Osaze because we are out of this tournament. We are out not because of him, but as for NFF (who didnt need a Osaze to tell them that AMODU was a joke) and the silly YAKUBU and co who some persons were on Nairaland defending. Osaze continous to be one of our better players, and he and Martins didnt get more playing time, so yes, he can talk to spin journalist about his ordeal rather than Kaitaing or Anelkaing his way out |
It takes a European to tell us the cardinal truth---That is, stop wasting money on mediocre UEFA coaches, Where are those "children" that were saying "We need to retain Lagerback", "Lagerback is better than, " ShutUP! |
Lol @ Yobo I'm sure his PR officer told him to be running mouth after he said we were not going to qualify for R16, Did you guys see his interview on ESPN before the WC, Poor, disoriented, and I wonder if he went to school. The only thing he has managed to win is that former MBGN, so at least he has "game" in another area. |
# of Points # Goal Differential that is see table A hypothetically Team W L T GF GA GD Pts Team 1 2 1 0 2 2 0 6 Team 2 2 1 0 1 1 0 6 Team 3 2 1 0 1 1 0 6 Because France and Mexico, or SA and Mexico could end up with the same points and goal diff, not to talk of other groups. Is it head to head or what |
@larimo Well, I know you mean well, but Africans should stop serving Europeans. It's not out of sentiment that many are advocating for local coaches. No one is advocating for the current manager of Shooting Stars, Sharks of PH, or Enugu Rangers because they are local coaches, but good and tested local coaches, which we have. Sir Ferguson and the EPL can't continue to be a benchmark for how soccer is played or coached, England isnt even doing well, nor are their clubs dominating European cups this time round. Lets get a local coach period. Imagine, we have 2 nations cups within three years, and you can't expect a European coach like Vogts or Lagerback to be in Abuja for 3 days to train and fly back to their home country, and then fly in days before a match. (and collect almost the same monthly salary the head of state is collecting lol) |
This is what I love about the World Cup, when you think its over for some its not until the final whistle blows, then you have to consult the rules when there are ties in standing If France beat SA 3-0 and Mexico beats Uruguay 2-0 then France and Uruguay will be even on everything, who goes? If SA beat France 3-0 and Uruguay beats Mexico 2-0 then SA will have the same GD as Mex, who goes thru? Yet with all the drama with France, and SA's desperate situation, all that may not matter if URU and Mex tie But yes, South Africa will win today |
So its just not African teams that are embarrassing, its also the countries the African players play predominately in, France, EPL, Serie A, Budensliga lol, Even La Liga's Spain may also exit |
@ Amobi You are wrong my dear. Bad conclusion. There are several reasons why African teams (as we have seen in SA 2010) are doing poorly, and using over-aged players as a reason is over-rated. Even since the 70's Brasil, Mexico, Ghana, and others cheat and use 30-year-olds for U20. Did you see that Swiss team that beat our boys/men in Abuja during the last Youth Cup, some looked older than Kalu Uche. The problem is our FA, team selection, and player attitute (i.e. Anelka) amongst others. You could even add we as a people to the list, because like silly Amodu rightfully said 1) Our players are just average 2) Nigerians don't know anything about football @ genuisity and truly You say Siasia is overrated? ![]() Taking a U20 team to the final, U-23 team with professionals and senior players to the final (with coaches like Dunga), and at the last minute coaching another U-20 team without any major stars to the Quaterfinals (which HARUNA threw away) isnt over rated. A team that features Yakubu, Obasi, and other million dollar a month players who cant score or run is over rated, along with a coach who couldnt qualify his country for the WC when they were points ahead of Portugal, |
Wet dreams eh ![]() Better than having sex with someone and she shouts out another guys name |
My dear, it's hard, Go with your gut, but please keep hands to yourself |
Yep, it sucks that old men go around chasing young girls old enough to be their daughter. But hey? That's life, It happened in Roman times and will happen ten years from now. As long as there are women out there who are DOWN, and old men who have that CRAVING, then it's nothing you can do about it. We could encourage both sides to lay down their urge, but what's the alternative? Yo mama or someone else's? |
The truth is that "THE FIRST CUT IS THE DEEPEST" For many (NOT ALL) girls, a girl to get over her first, she has to go on a long journey (and I dont mean sleeping around, though this could happen) and ultimately get over him. This wont mean she's forgotten him, but if she meets Mr. Right, she will be thinking about the first and the last (the new guy). Girls get attached to the first love, and many guys who know this tend to ride it until no more. A girl will miss that guy, hope he'll change, stay with him, etc., until its evident he's not for her, but may still think about it. SO if you are a guy dating a gal out there, you better hope her 1st is a thousand miles away, or was a real jerk, |
You have to be careful, for some men importing they seem to be the only men enjoying. But for some it can be a nightmare. Yet for women importing from home, well I know this sounds sexist, but it's throwd. Yet I dont blame them, since both sides stand to benefit, just like the men who import from home. |
