Northeastern:People with special needs can be somewhat difficult to handle sha. I helped you embolden fonts so that you can see well, you didn't say thank you. I still helped you see how the diagram can be interpreted, you still didn't say thank you. I quoted the part I wanted to help you see "how GTBank will get to 19" and did good justice in helping you. To say simple thank you, mba. Guy, am I the one responsible for your visual impairment? |
swilo:No sir. The one to the right is a BEARISH butterfly. Wrongly labelled (I picked the diagram from google images just to use it as a visual aid). I am only interested in using the diagram to the left since the XA leg for that one is bullish. Anyone that pays attention to details and has no challenge with his physical optical eyes (like our brother) can and should be able to see which of the two suits the description I gave. |
Now, still in my understanding of your pitiable plight, I will help you see details of the little pictorial I posted. 1. The Point C from which the bearish trend resumes is LOWER than point X from which it began. 2. Point D at which the bearish trend terminates is LOWER than point A for which the bullish retracement started. So, GTBank will still make a low which would be LOWER in comparison to the low it has already put in so far. Again, I repeat audaciously: GTBANK will get to 19.XX Kapish?

meshpips:@NorthEastern, I am particularly patient with physically challenged people. Your "eye-sight" gives you away. So let me help you embolden this part. I perfectly understand how it feels to be almost going blind. |
Northeastern:Young man, you seek to always wanna punch a hole in whatever I say but at least try to do a good work next time okay? I know say English hard small and obviously you were too busy looking for a hole in my post to have noticed the following: |
Agbalowomeri:I think they are correct about the possibility of a bull run for the next few weeks. @BullBearMkt made a post (which he later deleted) that the market has already eaten about 78% of the gains it made. Question: What is the deepest level we can get for a 5 - point harmonic pattern? it is a 76.4% (some use 78.6%) retrace of the XA leg and this is for the BUTTERFLY harmonic pattern. So XA leg was bullish and now we have a point B at "around" 78% meaning we should be bullish until the commencement of the point C before a resumption of the bearish trend will take place. For reasons best known to him, he deleted the post but I have put up a diagram that depicts what's likely to happen.

RabbiDoracle:Yes, UNIBEN. Greetings sir. |
Agbalowomeri:Those wey I ask nor dey count cash for counter bros. The least among them na HOP. |
Mcy56:Two bank guys have already responded. They said 4.9 basis point. If there is a rate cut for 5 basis point, that will be okay. Na the 50 basis point cut dey make me think. Reason being that the Fed has always said (since January) that they wanna maintain the rate between 2.25 - 2.50. If they do a 50 basis point cut, the rate will drop to 1.85 from the current 2.35%. This is too far below the lower limit they have been trying to maintain since the beginning of the year. So I am wondering how and why this could be possible. Me still dey ask which of the currency them use as the base before doing the calculation. About 5 other bankers have not been able to give me an answer even after reading my message. I really pity the calibre of people we have in some sensitive positions in this country. Many people nor just sabi their craft. It is well. |
RabbiDoracle:There is a buy to 34 - 35 region looming. I nor fit do any volume analysis 'cos I'm not trading this una unleveraged market. Most likely within the next 4 - 6 weeks price will hit the target mentioned above. |
RabbiDoracle:Thermo-fluids and heat transfer. Many people ran away from that Fluid Mechanics option in final year under the tutelage of the great Prof. L. A. Salami (of blessed memory). But me like wetin dey scare people. |
Pickin wey nor sabi book go say teacher nor like am. Another lady fail she say na because she not allow the lecturer sleep with am. Yet, some other people will finish with a First Class in the very selfsame department. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the NSE. When you are able to filter buy/sell volume for each stock, you will know exactly what to do. I am very audacious with the calls I have made. I have made 2 so far (openly) and one to the few that contacted me. Let's see how they fare. By the way, next month will be a bullish month in the NSE. Hold me accountable for this statement. |
meshpips:Sometimes we try not to go into too much detail. In my quest for knowledge and absolute truth about the financial market, I have gone through several privileged trainings. In one of such training, I had the rare privilege of going through a classified document from Lehman Brothers - a training document they used to teach new entrants into a Fund management firm. The banker sees the financial market completely different from how chartists, fundamental analysis proponents or news casters see it. The question I asked is something that not all bankers can even answer. @bullbearmkt, if you want to fix your car, do you take it to a carpenter? So you now want me to carry my question go that kain place? Bros why na? |
BullBearMkt:Sir, even in a bearish trend, are the corrective waves not going to be BULLISH? Wave 2 which corrects into the bearish segment of wave 1 creates an opportunity to buy. Wave 4 which retraces into the bearish wave 3 segment creates yet another opportunity to BUY. So, even in a bear market, we will have TWO opportunities to buy. I dare to have a different perspective about the financial market. Kindly pardon me for playing the devil's advocate but we need to have people in this market that play by a different set of rules. |
BullBearMkt:This is a question for those with a banking background sir. It is good to have you back. I also noticed that you have taken down your post about the 78% Fibonacci retrace of the gains made on the NSE. Are you trying to be careful so as not to call "bull" in a seemingly bear - dominated market? |
Concerning the offer for a joint - venture/ partnership that I put up above, I would like to say that anyone interested has absolutely nothing to be afraid of. 1. You will open the account in your own name, verify the account and then fund it with the amount suitable for your risk preference. 2. Only then will you give me a limited power of attorney (LPOA) to login to your trading account and execute trades on your behalf. 3. Once (2) above has been done, you will then provide me with the login details to your account. Kindly note that 3rd party withdrawals are NOT possible. So withdrawal can only be made to a bank account that bears the same name as the trading account. Also note that a few weeks ago, some people hastily concluded that I am here to scam people and rip them of their hard earned money. Nothing can be more untrue than what they have said. Yes, they put up posts of my activities in the Football betting thread BUT failed to do a deeper "digging into" my activities on Nairaland. I have been on Nairaland for over 8 (Eight) years and more than 90% of my posts have been in the currency trading alert thread. I have been on Nairaland since 2011. I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering but have been trading the Financial markets since 2007. So I guess I am permitted to say that I have over TWELVE years trading experience. There is a time to speak and a time to be quiet. Those interested can go ahead and contact me. Thank you.

meshpips:We will see a rate cut in the US Federal Reserve rate by 50 basis points on Wednesday night (July 31st). Within the next 4 weeks, GBPUSD will rally by at least 500 pips. |
bojbest:You might have entered too early. The first sign to buy was given at 1.2381 |
meshpips:50 basis point cut is what's needed to achieve this. We will see a rate cut in the US Federal Reserve rate by 50 basis points on Wednesday night (July 31st). Within the next 4 weeks, GBPUSD will rally by at least 500 pips. For those that would like to cash in on this move, you can contact me and let's see how to work things out. 500 pips translates to $500 profit IF you trade with a lot size of $1/pip. |
Finance gurus in the house, please who can help with this calculation : How many basis point rate cut in USD will make GBPUSD price rise form 1.2384 to 1.2883? In anticipation of anyone's kind response, I say thank you. |
Something is not right about GBPUSD. Price ought to be at 1.2831 at the close of this week according to Ichimoku projections. How come price is trading over 400 pips lower? Something is not right here. |
russy:Sometimes we caught up with the numerous non-trading activities that we engage in, so much so that we might forget to post when a trade recommendation has been reviewed or rescinded. I'm glad I was able to post this here. I may very well apologize (in advance) for a future event in which I might not be able to post the update. |
meshpips:Earlier today, I said that USDJPY is overpriced. As the trading day progressed, a few thing have changed. Now I am buying USDJPY with 108.608 acting as intra-day support.
|
USDJPY is very much over priced for the current day. I recommend selling this pair for at least 50 pips. Let's see if the bears can take price down to the base of this bullish channel.

daddyzgel01:My honest advice, open an account with any of the stock broking firms, fund your trading account with the 200,000 NGN and then buy UACN shares. By December, the shares will very likely be worth much more than 50% of their current value. There is a time value of money. Refuse to keep 200,000 NGN somewhere in July 2019 and still let it remain at 200,000 NGN by December 2019. I also like to commend you on being able to plan ahead. This is one thing many other people do not do. I pray for you that the Almighty one keeps you in health and in strength. May He cause you to have much more than you ever imagined. |
hisexcellency34:There will not be any serious reaction or move in the financial markets until after the FED's rate announcement on July 31st. |
sundayakasdy:Olufukeji Ejimi (Ex-bank trader and chattered wealth manager). He is based in Kaduna. All the best! |
RabbiDoracle:Question: If we already have the rate at 2.35 as at June FOMC meeting, why should anyone expect more than a maximum of 10 basis point cut? The Fed fund rate has a target range of 2.25 - 2.50 Dropping by 25 basis points will take them BELOW their MINIMUM target range. The only worry for them would be inflation which is currently BELOW 2%. They want to maintain it at a symmetric 2% |
Something for everyone to ponder on.: The global financial markets are "tuned" to the United States Dollar (USD). The foreign reserve of most countries are stored as either USD or Gold. If there is a rate cut in the USD what will be the effect on the Nigerian Naira and by extension the price of stocks on the NSE? is there the possibility of a rate cut in the USD within the near future? The bullish move seen on Gold this week, can that be a pointer to something that's about to happen to the USD? The wise man sees danger (or opportunity) afar off and prepares himself. Enjoy your weekend as you carefully ponder on the thoughts above. All the best! |
The price - volume analysis shows that the fair (or true) price of ACCESS is at 5.761 So the buy from 5.80 as seen in the price only analysis is pretty much in order. Partial profit taking level still remains 7.10 - 7.15 region NOTE: If the trading data for year 2008 is considered, the analysis will become skewed toward the twenty something naira handle at which the stock opened that year. So I completely removed the 2008 trading data before running the price - volume analysis.
|
ACCESS BANK Buy between 6.00 - 5.80 Hold until 8.10 - 8.15 You can take partial profit at 7.10 -7.15 NOTE: The recommendation above is based on PRICE analysis only. I will do the price - volume analysis and post my findings later.
