tritritri:Let's chat on whatsapp whenever you are free to do so sir. |
bLacKGoLd3:Bros, calm down okay? I read analysis from @BullBearMkt. He does price - time analysis. There are three variables - volume being the third. I challenge you to call on your OGs to tell me the BUY volume and SELL volume for any stock traded yesterday. Ignorance laced with arrogance will get you no where bro. Please calm down and observe. At least allow my recommendation fail first then you can come at me. |
pluto09:I will help you see what I have pioneered here. I am the FIRST to use price-volume analysis to make informed trading decisions on this thread. Let me help you a bit 'cos obviously you've not been taught to know how important volume is when dealing with markets. Question 1 If I purchase stock XYZ at 50.00 NGN and some extra at 60.00 NGN. what is my average buying price? Question 2 If I purchase 1,000 units of stock XYZ at 50.00 NGN and some extra 20,000 units at 60.00 NGN. What is my average buying price PER UNIT. do the calculations and notice the huge variation between the answer obtained. What is the difference between the two questions above? Volume is what distinguishes me from others in the pack. I stand in a class of my own feeling fly with my zobo drink. Hope I have helped you see in what way I stand out from the others? |

kolaish:Noted sir! I took out time to post my detailed analysis on GTB only to get insulted. Unsolicited advice is hardly ever taken seriously. Those that truly want the information can contact me. Man has the freedom to choose and you sir can choose to overlook the post. Thanks again. |
PharmAlfred:There is a stock to buy which will give at least 200% pure profit. Those who know truly know. Send me a private message if you care to know. I nor wan post am publicly before somebody go come say I don smoke Oshogbo weed again. |
robobo:I did some technical analysis on GTB some days ago. Where I concluded that GTB will get to N19.45 (its true price). The bounce from 27.02 (previous resistance) will find huge supply at 31.25 - 32.00. Please be not deceived by whatever they post as their Q2 earnings on the 24th. Once and if price gets to 31.25 - 32.00 region, close ALL your buy positions on this stock. They have said we cannot trade the NSE using technical analysis . . . Me I don talk my own o! Those wey get ear, make them hear and act accordingly. NOTE: There is an additional information on the second chart which is not shown on the first chart. That level is the "KEY"

ufotty2001:If the time of entry is too close to the news release period, it is advisable not to enter any trade. It is noteworthy to state that most brokers will fill you in at the worst possible price during such periods. Slippage can get as high as over 30 - 40 pips. Price can run through your stop loss and the broker will not honour the stop loss causing losses to far exceed the calculated risk value. The erudite trader will usually wait about 5 minutes after the release of the economic report before attempting to take any new position. Why jeopardize the well being of your account over a few minutes of adrenaline pumping, emotion ladden and highly risky trading during news release period? |
|
meshpips:I hope you bought at the close of the just concluded hour? Target is 1.2477 |
docus:You are trading with 1.5* standard lots equivalent. Your account must be very big. |
ikhalyfah:Buy GBPUSD if the current hourly candle closes below 1.2408 |
EURAUD Deviated about 3 standard deviations below the volume - adjusted price a few hours before NY close. A mean reversion is usually expected as price snaps back to its volume adjusted level.
|
meshpips:We got a H1 trend line reject.
|
voraz:Yes, a heavy sell is looming on this pair. |
@voraz, thanks for posting your charts and outlook. I see that you are planning to sell a few EUR pairs . . . I actually have a BUY for EURAUD at the moment. Let's see how it reacts at the down trendline (H1 TF) and then after it gets to 1.6077 pivotal area.

pinbar:Hello bro, Please send me a message on whatsapp. There is an opportunity for traders which you might be interested in. Thanks |
currentprice:Bros, please send me a message on whatsapp. There is an opportunity for traders you might be interested in. Thanks |
eddy1234:I will help you run my volume - price analytics on it sir. The price might be down while the volume adjusted price could be higher. If this is the case, you won't need to sell your shares. If on the other hand my analysis shows a gloomy future for the stock, I will send you the VWAP (volume weighted average price) for each day. A price level at which the stock will experience little or no shock in price even if you offloaded everything at one and the same time. |
EURAUD: sell side in force!
|
alphaNomega:Yes, they have returned. |
veecovee:When the trade goes against my direction, I cut the trade. There's always another day to trade. I have a daily risk limit of 5% . Under no circumstance should the limit be exceeded except I want the firm to fire me. It's Viv Olu***i abi? Long time madam. |
That awesome moment when you not only catch the low, but are able to add some more at every swing low!
|
I really admire you guys that trade markets that have zero leverage. I have been having much fun today in the currency space. That awesome moment when you not only catch the low, but are able to add some more at every swing low! An awesome trading day it has been for me.

RabbiDoracle:Sir, I will have you repeat these same words after price hits 19.42 Please if anyone wants to run his or her mouth like dirty tap water be very very sure that you are ready to defend whatever you spew. |
meshpips:I guess this exercise will show the importance of using volume as an additional variable before making our trading decision. Note my previous trade recommendation (using ONLY price). Now, I have done the volume analytics using the YEARLY charts from 2009 - 2019. My recommendation has changed! Recommendation: Buy at 19.42 or slightly lower. What appears as 27.02 on the price chart has a TRUE VALUE of 19.42 Don't buy at 27.02 rather wait for its TRUE PRICE of 19.42 before buying.

Let me quickly lend my voice to this GTBank discussion going on here. Kindly see chart below: 1. Price has currently retraced 61.8% of the most recent bullish segment. 2. 27.02 was the previous resistance which should now hold as support. 3. 18.18 is the penultimate support. Undoubtedly an excellent price to buy from by all standards. 4. A third touch of the uptrend line for this year is at 16.08 BUT price broke out of the previous equi-distant channel so we might not get a third touch of the uptrend line. Recommendation: Buy at 27.02 and hold until 41.00 or slightly higher. NOTE: This analysis is based on PRICE only. Once and if I do the volume adjusted pricing, I will give you an efficient level to buy from which is supported by volume. Disclaimer: The content of this post is strictly for educational purpose only. I will not be held responsible in the event that any loss comes as a result of following this trade recommendation.

Hello everyone, please where can I get an excel (CSV) file containing Open, High, Low, Close and Volume information for NSE stocks. I need weekly time period data from start of year 2019 till date. Or anyone that has it can kindly upload it here so that I can use in doing the calculations I promised. Thanks. |
@onegentleguy, thanks so much for helping us shed more light on the subject matter. Things to note: 1. The volume adjusted price I compute DO NOT reset at the close of each trading day. What I'm gonna be computing for them will be for year 2019 using OHLC + VOLUME data from the weekly time frame. In essence, the findings will remain valid until the close of year 2019. 2. You correctly mentioned that one of the uses of VWAP is to help the investor/trader know whether or not he is over- paying /under-paying for the stock. Since the Nigerian market is basically (technically) a buy only market , I will give them the LOWEST VWAP done thus far for the year 2019. Buying at or below this LOWEST VWAP is certainly getting an excellent price for the stock. Once time and space permits me, I will do the computation as promised and post here. Enjoy your day everyone. |
