Thanks to Ezeigbo Nairaland and the council members for condemning the extrajudicial killing of Igbo youths in Nigeria. The situation has even gotten to the extent that the killings are now carried out in our own backyard.

My opinion on this particular discussion, especially the case of the Ezu River-50, is that Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State should tell us what happened to those young men. In as much I admire his simplicity and governance style, the SHOOT AT SIGHT order he gave the wicked Nigerian(Hausa) army during his first year as the governor of Anambra state , anchored on the belief that he wants to stop the illegal activities of the NURTW( Motor park touts ), cant easily be over looked. Hundreds of Igbo/Anambra youths were shot and killed like animals by the Nigerian army acting on the orders of the governor elected to protect them. This particular action of Obi shows that he might also know something about the Ezu River-50. He might have given the police (SARS) the go ahead order to kill all suspected kidnappers.

Politics / Amala Politics In Ogun State :Mace Smashed, As Two Factions Lay Claim To Speaker by Metalgoong(m): 10:27pm On Mar 05, 2013
By OLA AJAYI

ABEOKUTA—There was commotion at the Ogun State House of Assembly, yesterday, after the mace, a symbol of authority of the House, was broken by aggrieved lawmakers obstructing the Speaker, Suraj Adekunbi, from announcing the suspension of four members.

Already two lawmakers, Suraj Adekunbi ane Remmy Hassan are laying claim to the speakership.

This was compounded by alleged possession of guns by some lawmakers prompting the security agents to thoroughly search some of the lawmakers, journalists and visitors to the chamber.

As if this was not enough, another Speaker, Remmy Hassan was purportedly elected by 14 lawmakers after the first rowdy plenary where four of them were suspended.

Trouble started few minutes after the commencement of the proceedings around 11a.m. when the Speaker announced the plan to sanction four members that allegedly disregarded the House rules at the last sitting.

According to Adekunbi, Remmy Hassan, Olufemi Akintan, Adija Adeleye-Oladapo and John Obafemi reprenting Odogbolu; Egbado North 11; Ifo 11 and Remo North constituencies had been suspended for “various acts bordering on unparliamentary behaviour and gross disrespect to the legislative institution.”

In an attempt to counter their suspension one of the affected lawmakers, Khadijat Adeleye-Oladapo rose, allegedly grabbed the mace placed before the Speaker and broke it.

She was subsequently joined by other aggrieved lawmakers numbering about 13 who then smashed the mace.

Adekunbi had called the majority leader of the House, Isreal Jolaosho, to move the motion for the suspension of the four lawmakers before the lawmakers broke the mace.

Announcing their suspension Adekunbi said: “Consequently, these Honourable members are not to be seen within the premises of the Ogun State House of Assembly henceforth.”

The House comprising 26 lawmakers has been polarised into two groups with both Adekunbi and Remmy Hassan leading the factions.

Attempt by the Speaker, to reconvene the House at 2:30pm was aborted as Remmy Hassan prevented the Speaker from seating, saying “Suraju has been suspended, he is no more our Speaker, I am the Speaker protem.”

Briefing after the commotion, Adekunbi explained that he tried to give all the lawmakers equal right during the plenary.

COOLDUN:

I am from Imo state; i strongly support your views towards the elimination of these lazy animals that are bringing bad images and sleepless nights to the Igbo race. If anyone found or caught in act of kidnapping should be killed, you can give it any name you might like, these kidnappers and their sponsors enjoy the privilege that no one comes to testify against them in the court of law in fear of being attacked,to carry out these heinous crimes as if it is their fundamental rights.

My community have written to the Governor of Imo state to follow suits by signing it into law also. Nigeria is not yet ripe for the kind of system/legal process which some people are clamoring on this nairaland.

We should follow these animals bumper to bumper for this nonsense to stop. Abia state was their heaven until the federal government decided to wake up from their slumber, since then it has reduced in the state. Now their new heaven is Imo state because Anambra state is dealing with them nowadays.

Preaching for a legal process for these beasts that have made many women widows and children orphans through their heartless activities is like sewing a white dress for a pig. If anyone is caught or proved beyond reasonable doubt to be a member should be eliminated with immediate effect. Anyone who comes out to fight for their rights should be arrested and queried too. Many sponsors hide under different bodies to fight for their release whenever they are caught.

The human right activists should tell us what they have done to call these lazy animals to order. How many times have they negotiated for the release of the kidnappers’ victims? We are crying of crimes while supporting crime through so many disguised ways.

IF ANY KIDNAPPER,ARMED ROBER, RITUALIST IS CAUGHT AND PROVED BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT TO BE GUILTY OF THE OCRIME SHOULD BE KILLED AND BURIED , NOTHING WILL HAPPEN, NEITHER WILL HEAVEN FALL. BE IT MY BROTHER, SISTER, FATHER OR MOTHER.

You are right my brother. . .

I wholeheartedly support DEATH by stoning for all Kidnappers in Igboland!! . If they are sentenced to 100 yrs imprisonment by Nigeria legal system, the next week they will bribe themselves out of jail and continue terrorizing innocent people . . Nigeria doesn't have any legal system;hence, there is nothing uncivilized about killing them like animals which they are! Those kidnappers have brought pains and sorrows to many families.

If you don't want to be killed like a bush meat, desist from kidnapping and go hussle for real money!!!!!

joney360: My suspicion about this merger is. ACN went as far Kaduna and CPC came to lagos when the where negotiating this merger. Who has come to enugu for discussion? Why is my bro Rochas in a hurry to join APC. Can't u wait to be begged. Why are they meeting at lagos is lagos our capital? Or is this APC a yoruba agenda trying to appear nationalistic to gain power.? Igbos should not put all their eggs in one basket anyway. If APC succeeds let ROchas and Ngige rep us and if GEJ continues OBI is there with the unholy matrimony.
Let nobody deceive anybody with ONENIGERIA we all know we are not. We are only Nigerians when it suits us( when we need access to national cake)

You have the potential to be a great political tactician. Nice insight!

APC should be afraid of the likes of Okorocha.Based on his records of jumping from PDP to APP, APP to PDP, PDP to APGA, APGA to APC, he might soon negotiate APC to boko haram . . lol

That man is the quintessential 419ner, flip flopper and etch a skech politician. This is a man who contested the presidential election under ANPP, and within two months of loosing woefully to Buhari, he lobbied and accepted a political appointment with Obasanjo's led PDP government - Special adviser to the president on inter party affairs cheesy.
Politics / Re: Okorocha, Umeh Are Ingrates — Obi’s Aide by Metalgoong(m): 6:11pm On Feb 19, 2013
Okorocha's presidential ambition is dead on arrival. He is a serial election loser - both in presidential and gubernatorial elections. And this shows how clueless he is when it comes to politics. A fraudster who made his money through inflated government contracts. An unrefined and crude man who orders his thugs to fight anyone that opposes him. Ask Senator Anyanwu. Illiterate Okorocha can not stand toe to toe with gentle Peter, Okwute, in all ramifications be it in intellectual acumen, international exposure, political sagacity, or financial wherewithal. Peter Obi's professional record before he became governor and now that his is governor are out there for all to see. As an illiterate 419er, loudmouthed Okorocha has none, except hidden list of inflated government contracts that made him who he is today. Peter Obi's aide was on point in his description of Okorocha and Umeh's ingratitude toward the cool headed Anambra boss.Peter was instrumental in the election of Okorocha as the Governor of Imo state, a position which he has been seeking since who knows when.

I disagree with you. I'm a student, and I have had good rapport with most of Nigerian girls I have met here in America. You need to have the right game that neutralizes their attitude which they use to cover their insecurities. And I must tell you, they are fun to be with if you know how to handle them. grin

Biafra rep: All well meaning Igbos on nairaland should as a matter of urgency call Chino and his ilks to order, or declare them persona non Grata. why is Chino so obsessed with Anambra? Spyder opened a thread on the beauty of Enugu to the admiration and pride of all Igbos yet Chino came with evil intention to damage that thread, now he is trying to do same with Imo! every state in Igboland contributes in making us great. Any more insult from him on Imo will be met with equal venom on his state. Those who live in glass house should not throw stones, I equally have enough diatribes in my arsenal that would cast a pal of opprobrium on him and his entire state, though I would not want to do that because I am pan Igbo and wont like to wash our dirty linen in public but my patience is at the very tip of the cliff. Biko unu duo nwa amadi a odu ka ihere hapu ime anyi n'ile maka ngbe ndi ofenmanu ga eji ya kowa anyi onu, ekwuchala mu nkem!
