Because our people are meek. We are easily bullied, and rather than double the bully in return, we will find escape in philosophical thoughts. We start yarning big big English.

The case of Zik imposing Ibo Vice Chancellor in Ibadan and Lagos comes to mind.

Ondo youths, and their elders are slow. An Ibo woman is your First Lady for 8 years, and you were comfortable with it. You should have known if you give Ibo a glass of wine to taste he will start plotting to snatch the whole bottle from you. You don enter gau! Betty Anyanwu was rejected in her own hometown from representing them, but because Ondo people are meek, she is bringing women from Imo to rule you. This is just a test. Im sure she has bigger plans for you.

You are so meek in that state that the wife of the incapacitated gov is at helm of affairs, discreetly refusing the Deputy from taking Oath of Office.

I doubt your protest will succeed in deposing your new LCDA Chairman from Imo State. I doubt it! Its too late, you slept too deep.

Halle Berry is extra beautiful, and I think her good looks went into her head. Her good looks and bad girl behavior was a catalyst for Jennifer Lopez's own fatalistic matrimony, jumping from one man to another and having kids from different fathers. Lopez was trying to be Halley.

Sometimes beauty is a burden.

Considering the economic situation in the country, a roasted maize seller was spotted dividing a maize into half in order to sell to those who can not afford to buy a full maize, which sells for between 150 and 200 naira depending on the size.

Things are really tough for many.

You must not be a Nigerian. Maybe one of those that came from Niger and just started identifying as Nigerian, no paperwork or anything.

So, corn sellers have always roasted the cob as full size, half size and quarter size. The reason for the half and quarter is customers may want to purchase for a little child. Also, some people love corn but cant eat the full cob, so they purchase the half.

Everyone of them since 1992 have defeated Atiku either at primary or at general election.
What does that say about Atiku? He lacks strategy.

So how is a man that lacks strategy going to defeat a master strategist in court?

You all need to weigh this Atiku lawsuit well, and not start counting your chicken before the eggs are hatched.

Tinubu used it just recently to pull the rug from under you and won election. grin

Yeah, he is no master strategist but defeated APC at its own primary, defeated every other candidate at the polls.

He didn't even participate in debates, and still won. grin

The guy was in the trenches scooping constituency after constituency. What were you looking at? He put entertainment infront of you. You were looking at gazelle gagaraga, bulabalublu, Tinubu walking with crooked backbone , unable to stand or walk without support, Tinubu propped up to enter bus. Tinubu leans on Sanwoolu to step down from podium.

You all had fun. That was his strategy feeding you those balabulablu.

Dude, have you considered the possibility that Tinubu fighting not to release his credentials is a bulabalu to disarm Atiku?

I have not listened to that tune in over 10yrs. There was a track by Sadao Watanabe released same year or around same time as Cocoloco. I heard it once over radio, by chance, never heard it again and could never find in store. It had same high stacco as this one by Herb. Do you know the one?

People are just as serious about their spirituality.

Religious people should respect the choice of Spiritual people. Infact, spirituality is pro-humanity, religion is not. Religion causes friction and abuse, it scorches the earth. Spirituality uplifts and embraces living energies. Between the two, religion ought to be discarded from human society.

Problems with your thread (This na admonition, not abuse, or insult).

1.You opened it in the politics section....strike one

2.If I were to come and open a thread stating that Yourba tradtional religion is really worship of Satan and evil beings, vs True Christianity being the pure and only region....it would essentially become less of a thread for learning, and more of a provocative thread.

Nairaland already has too much provocation on this site. Already we have far too many threads whose aim is to provoke rather than to teach.

You are in essence stating that Islam is just Yoruba traditional religion. Would you like it if I came and said that Yourba traditional religion is nothing but religion of witches? Or if I stated that a Orisa devotee was really worshipping Jesus and he did not know it? (An actual argument among some christians by the way).?

At the end, whether that was your intention or not, your article was very provocative. Yes, people should control themselves, but people should not also light the fire.

3.For a thread that claimed to be producing knowledge, you did not give us any online sources, or even book sources.....to back up your assertion. Made it sound more like a invective against Islam, rather than a thread promoting religious unity.

I don talk my own. If you want to repost the thread...post it in the religion section. Don't unnecessarily provoke people on this site.Religion is something people take seriously.

Im giving you facts from an irrefutable source, the Quran, and you are spinning tales about ifs and supposes.

Is it true that Yoruba worship is satanic? No, not true, and good sources exist to prove it.

Is it true that Islam rose out of Orisha worship? Yes, fact. Quran states so.

I truly dont believe you know what you are talking about. Are you familiar with the Chapters in the Quran?

Do you know that in every northern town , city or village 90% probability that the chemist, boutique, restaurant, beer parlor, spare parts shop, electronics shop you will find there is owned by an igbo man.

I once met an igbo man in shehu laminu way who told me that he sells computer spares in maiduguri and that he has customers that come from Chad to buy spares and parts for their system, someone that fixed my phone in kaltungo Gomber state is an igbo engineer who served in gombe and opted to settle there.

The business network and empire of igbos is simply beyond the scope of nairaland.

So if this is true why dont you tell the people in that region you want to be their senator, governor? I dont believe you are telling truth, because ive never seen ibo contesting for governor up there.

livebyday:
Atiku Abubakar v. Chicago State University: UPDATE and a deeper dive into Atiku Abububakar’s quest to unmask BAT MAN through the US courts

WALK WITH ME 🧵 1/2

- Atiku Abubakar satisfied all the conditions for Jurisdiction and venue pursuant to section 28 U.S.C. § 1782, which authorizes any “interested person” to request that a United States District Court order the discovery of documents and testimony for use in a foreign proceeding from persons that “reside[] or [are] found” within its District as he (Atiku) is an interested person, and the order for discovery he sought was for use in Abubakar v. INEC & ors pending in the Nigerian Court of Appeal while the respondent CSU is a public university established in Chicago and existing under the laws of Illinois, with principal campus and offices located within the Illinois district.

- Atiku is also requesting “Documents” which include all objects belonging to BAT, tangible or intangible, from which information may be derived, Assignments, periodicals, coursework, photographs, text messages, agreements, correspondence, electronic or other video recordings of any type etc and electronic data which must be produced with all their metadata and the name of the custodians.

This means even if BAT has a football jersey with his name on it or a Lipstick or makeup kit still in the school’s custody, CSU will turn it over to Atiku. Also if CSU has tried to alter anything on their electronic records with respect to BAT, the metadata of the electronic files will expose them and the person in charge (custodian) will be called upon to explain.

- He’s also asking for all documents produced by CSU in response to any request (by subpoena or otherwise) by Mr. Tinubu or any other person for CSU records relating to Mr. Tinubu. This means every document given to Enahoro Ebah, and every document given to Tinubu (the documents Wole Olanipekun tendered) and any other person (including the letter Reno keeps shouting himself hoarse over) should be turned over to he and his team.(We will finally know if Reno officially requested documents or was just grandstanding and modeling in front of CSU)

Atiku also wants the certification they used on all documents and the process of the certification, the drafts of the certification and all communications to from or within CSU on the certifications, and all Documents sufficient to reflect the format, contents, and certifications of CSU diplomas issued by CSU for B.S. degrees from 1979, including documents sufficient to demonstrate any modifications to the format, contents, and certification of CSU diplomas from 1979 to the present. (I know where Atiku is going with this. He is either trying to establish that the certificate Tinubu submitted to INEC did not come out of CSU or that all the subsequent documents tendered by Olanipekun SAN on behalf of BAT and referenced in his final address are fakes that either did not come out of CSU or were fraudulently procured and certified with connivance of dirty corrupt CSU officials without the proper certification process of the university or that CSU officials are downright corrupt and compromised

The implication of the latter 2 would be very grave and have a devastating ripple effect. (Imagine the backlash of having a SAN tender Oluwole Pro - Max Documents on your behalf?

- All documents certified by Jamar Orr, Esq. the Deputy General Counsel for CSU or by any other person employed by or acting on behalf of CSU, for use by Mr. Tinubu or any other person or entity in relation to the Nigerian proceedings and if Jamar Orr, Esq is still in service of CSU and if not the reasons for his disengagement.
The way Atiku is going about this thing, any international collaborators will smell jail o! If they collected any money from BAT they shouldn’t spend it yet o!

I know you dont want to hear this, but....

What if all the documents in CSU possession are produced to court and they corroborate Tinubu's claims, then what next?

Where do we go from that point?

Quran specifically did not call any people infidels but you are Adulterating the Koran, even though there are lots of connection between the Qoran and Bible, they are different and if you add or remove, that would be wrong,

You are claiming how a certain Islamic practice came from so and so, but it is not The borrowed anymore but Islamic, treat it as distinct, when you want to practice the other borrowed practice, treat it as distinct, this should be very simple to understand, don't mix them, keep it pure, petrol comes from crude oil but petrol is petrol and you can't drive your car with non refined crude

Keep your thoughts organized and concise. Leave Bible out of it.

If Quran, which is the constitution of righteousness authored by God and the authority for living in Islam did not tell you Yoruba is infidel, then why do you carry the gala on your head and concerned about what Northerner say Yoruba is?

Check your conscience.

There’s a big difference between knowledge and faith, that’s the things you Yorubas have failed to understand, yes to some extent you can be regarded as civilized but juxtaposing knowledge and faith would create a confusion, now today you have Isese day in most of south west, this is in the valuation of your traditional religion, even England adopted Christianity let’s not forget that they are not even the originator so once you begin to hybridize faith with knowledge and tradition, you create a different existence by which the original practitioner of the former fate has justification to refer to you as infidel

Again, when it comes to Islam, the authority is the Quran. The Quran is explicit on who is infidel and who is not. Did the QUran tell you Yoruba people are infidels? Or this is just your fanthom imagination and play with emotional words?

Not for any government in power to hide behind a shady and indeterminate "masterplan" to carry out vendetta and take over legitimate properties angry

This government will issue an approval for a building in line with the "masterplan".. The next government will come in and demolish the same building for not being in line with the "masterplan".. Playing politics with people's investments. undecided

Just follow the masterplan, whatever it is. Those who followed it are in govt today. Dont be left out.

Like I said, some enlightenment will do you a lot of good. Islam played a key role in raising the consciousness of the whole world and stamping out the idolatry you shameless promote.

Islam rose out of idolatry, in its rituals there are still plenty elements of idolatry.

When we face East for prayer, we are borrowing from practices established in the worship of Horus, long before Islam. The practice of bowing to the glory of the Sun-god.

Mods, don't think I'm unaware that you closed my thread on Islam using ancient rites borrowed from Orisha. By the way, I also know my moniker is under watch and review. Its a game of cat and rat but I will put that to the side.

I am born into muslim family but my family is not an ignorant one. We are very knowledgeable in what Islam is, and we never deny our spirituality in Yoruba traditional culture. We do not follow any Imam or man to teach us about Allah. We get our knowledge of Allah direct from Quran.

I will challenge any muslim here on this forum who denies that Ifa is not accepted in Islam. I will also challenge any muslim who denies that salat are rituals borrowed from Orisha worshippers.

The challenge will allow audience to learn. Instead of closing my thread allow open debate so people can learn and free their minds from bondage of religion.

Thanks mods!
Politics / Re: Atiku, Kwankwaso, Obi Discussing Merger To Wrest Power From APC - AriseTV by MetaPhysical: 4:09pm On Aug 21, 2023
It is easy to see how this will work out.

1. After the merger and agreements is signed. Atiku will insist it is turn of North to produce President and use Datti to split the Obi-Datti group into North vs South.

2. Kwankwaso will agree and back Atiku. NEF will agree and back Atiku.

3. Obi will fume and lament he was backstabbed.

4. Atiku will pick party chairman from SE to counter Obi influence in Iboland.

5. Atiku will also attempt to split Tinubu support base in Yorubaland. To do that successfully he must appoint a VP candidate from Yoruba. His previous VP choices have been SE and SS, he will not repeat that pattern.

6. Atiku will pick Saraki for VP. Muslim-muslim ticket has proven a success at the polls. All odd combinations will be open for try, including North-North.

7. The combo of Atiku- Saraki will sweep votes in North and Yorubaland.

Atiku is not giving up easily, his desperation is so acute now that i think he will try anything and use anyone to attain this life ambition.
