What is value of BBNaija to society? It is demeaning, and ought to be scrapped.

The acts and utterances is outside of free speech rights. It is attack on morality.

I dont know why govt allow immoral to stand as a model of behaviour for young Nigerians.

Eye dey pain you. Peter Obi is there. Check the large group picture.

Its hard to see him. This is PDP congregation, and he is sidelined here, unlike the APC gathering in North where he was a prop for show of unity. PDP politicians are upset with him, but ones in APC love him.

Anyway, happy matrimony to the beautiful couple.

NYSC / Re: Abosede Esther, A Prospective Corp Member From Osun Has Been Kidnapped In Abuja by MetaPhysical: 7:30pm On Aug 19, 2023

Two suggestions:

1.
If people should be mandated to serve outside their states of residence, NYSC should pay for any damage that occurs in the process.

2.
If NYSC is unwilling to pay for the damages, serving outside one's state of residence should be absolutely optional for everyone.

A whole NYSC cannot raise 1 million Naira or mobilize police to rescue a citizen of Nigeria. Yet the NYSC exercise is termed "Serving your father land", and the same NYSC stands as a god between graduates and employment. What kind of a father is Nigeria to Nigerians? Nonsense.

Excellent input.

She's just continuing what she does in the womb

In the womb they do opposite. They curl up, but the umbilical is their trainer in the womb. It soothes them and also teaches them to move limbs. This is when the mother feels kicks. This exercise is essential for their pre and post birth. They use all four limbs to interact with cord. If a child fails to respond to the cord it could result in that limb loosing functionality permanently. Pregnancy and birth is a very delicate and risky stage of life.

Also, all mothers trip and fall during pregnancy. Some may be lucky and not hit the ground, but they all trip. That is also a cause and effect intended for the baby in the womb.

This is normal. Between 2 and 10months, sometimes even later than that, babies stretch (not raise) arms while asleep. This is their neurons doing that, and it should not be cause for concern. The neurons is training muscles and motors in the physiological body to limitations with limb movements.

Very soon this girl will begin sitting and starts to rock herself. That's another training to strengthen spine and hips.

So whatever kinetic motions a baby will do before it arrives at that stage and milestone the body unfolds its innate energy to accommodate limitations for that movements, and that's all baby is doing here.

She will crawl. If you notice her hand is stretched to that limit and angle. Her own natural clock is training her.

Culture / Re: Owonrin: The Scientific Nature Of Yoruba Language by MetaPhysical: 12:38pm On Aug 17, 2023
absoluteSuccess:

Wò As Content ~ With Won As Context

Another angle is wò, to enter. This is the angle that implies "content". Here, Iwo is what goes inside a container. Iwo is the unit of item that goes into the container, while iwon is the total number of items that the container can take or the "volume" of the container itself.

At the end, iwo is like the inbound item and the container used to do the measurements is iwon. Therefore, Iwo and E-won technically describe relationship between "inbound" and "inlet".

The difference is that Iwo could be a thing or many things, at which point Iwo becomes iwon: in the same vein, iwonba thus means "a moderate measure". Moderate is "iba" in this combination, and also moderate is a function of quantity.

Iwon is therefore a measure of quantity. Won is the scalar calibration of measurements that a container can carry. This is not immediately visible linguistically. Compare the sentence "E won De Rica rice meji" meaning, "measure 2 derica of rice".

Won in Yoruba language is measurements of all kinds. As a result, E-won is not actually prison in "the prison", but the "measure of term" that the convict will serve. Iwo is to initiate the measurements by commiting a crime, whereby, ewo is the inertia.

Now let's look at Iwo as meaning "entry": it's this clear that Iwo is nesting, which if apply to a human being would mean solitary confinement. Iwo is therefore to enter into (trouble) legal wise, hence it's said "o ti wo gau".

Iwo and ewon are thus composite ancient legal terms. Iwo is the content, while iwon is the context in which the content is served. Iwo is the content, iwon is the volume of content to a container.

On the other hand, Ewo is "the deterrent" that negates iwo, while owo is the "immunity" that prevents someone from becoming a victim of the law, as Oluwo. In extension, owo is divine immunity against accident, attacks from criminal elements or malevolence forces.

Now if you are painstakingly tracking Yoruba language and it's semantics, given that you are accurate in your work, then provident will guide you on. Note where I claimed "won" means "break" of an iron?

Good day bro! Mo yo fun e, mo yo fun ara mi!

When I try to stay away from here you always deploy something to return me. grin. Not that I complain. Reading you is a mental therapy. grin. God continue to bless and make your ways easy and profitable.

In networking technology there is a function called packet sniffing. You have billions of packets going through a tunnel and you are looking for a particular data stream. To find it you do what is called "tcp dump". It is a filtering process to deep dive and extract what you need from the multitude. Another way I will explain it is taking a chaotic information, descramble it, then reassemble it, and recompose before presenting in a new format where it is clear to an audience. In its original form it is useless to the audience. As the agent of clarity you have produced value, and an outcome.

I see your "dump" as exactly that function of value and outcome. Once more, may the Almighty bless you all days of your life.

Coming to this subject, I cannot dispute all you wrote here and generally in the series. I have always viewed "wo" as a threshold. That point where input and outcomes tilt one way or another. A line of equity as you said....or balance as you illustrated with the symbol of Lady Liberty and her scales.

"wo" is the function of DOs and DONTs. It is the rulebook of social interaction and balance in the total ecology of living and non-living.

I mentioned in one of our earlier lengthy threads that AWO is the Yoruba equivalent of LAW in English. In which case, Babalawo is Lady Liberty, overseeing the threshold of DOs and DONTs.

I will shut up here. You have done a fantsastic job highlighting this subject. I love you man! grin

Notwithstanding the headline,this is surely how the court will rule.this is based on what the petitioners tendered in court,their final written address and replies.just as the court combined or consolidated atiku and obi petitions,I will attempt to do so.the petition is hinged on five grounds namely;

1) That obi and atiku won the elections and that their votes were suppressed.

2) That there was massive violation of inec guidelines necessitating in irregularities which calls for outright cancellations and a rerun.

3) That tinubu should be disqualified based on a conviction or punishment by u.s court

4) That Shettima is guilty of double nomination

5) That 25% requirement in FCT is mandatory

6) That Tinubu is not qualified by being a citizen of guinea and he is also guilty of perjury and inconsistencies in his educational qualifications

What is the political implication of Tinubu deploying soldiers to fight Niger Republic without the consent of the combined House of Assembly as stipulated by the constitution?

Tinubu is allowed to deploy soldiers without congressional approval. It is illiterates that misinformed the public and fed lies that President is not allowed to deploy

Same unpatriotic citizens also fed falsehood that Nigeria is going to fight Niger. The President has always said Ecowas will push diplomacy and reserved option of force if needed. Plain English! But illiterates twisted it into something it is not and people in Niger panicked.

Tinubu is not sending anyone to war, infact there is not going to be a war.

a serious government also invests in real estate, setting the pace for private investors,

A serious government looks for ways to create value. If a government invests in real estate it will either be given free or at subsidized rate, and it looses opportunity to generate revenue. If private investors develop real estate they come under regulation which is licensing and an income to govt. They also pay tax on their earnings and profits.

What state government are you from?

This is Allen Avenue, Ikeja today.

This street is like the Oxford Street or Times Square of Lagos, with all kinds of fancy shops, restaurants, banks, companies, etc.

It is the sort of place that should be seeing HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of passers-by per day, including window shoppers, just like in Times Square in New York, or Oxford Street in London.

Impulse buying, whereby you just pass by and see something and buy on impulse without prior planning, accounts for a HUGE percentage of sales on those streets, leading to huge revenue for the sellers and huge tax income for the govt.

What makes all this possible in those places but not on ALLEN AVENUE?

Answer = SIDEWALKS AND COVERED DRAINS.

Once you build Allen Avenue like this above, it will TRANSFORM the volume of trade on that street by a minimum 600%, bringing greater tax revenue to the state govt.

The Lagos state govt should do this.

If you are very familiar with Lagos, Allen Avenue is less of a commercially attractive district than few other places on Lagos Island or even on Mainland that could benefit from such plan.

Moreover, govt is only a facilitator for municipal devt plan...it is actually private sector that builds and raise the real estate value in a district.

Superpowers fight to dominate energy. If they need it they fight to dominate its control. If they dont need it, they still fight to deny their opponent access to it.

Niger has oil and uranium for energy. Geospatially, it sits at a cross point that makes it an ideal spot for discreet and stealth military clandestine operations simultaneously across four continents. Niger is an asset for modern political and military strategies.

Biafra has gas but this is carbon based, of no use for modern nuclear energy demands. Zero defense shield against attacks.

Russia supporting Biafra will be just a charity, not an investment.

Yorubas are tribalistic yet Obi an Igbo got votes in Lagos even more than what PBAT and Atiku got..

Yorubas are tribalistic yet Atiku won in Osun state..

The Igbos that are not tribalistic gave PBAT and Atiku less than 5 percent votes in all their tiny 5 South Eastern states.. gave Obi over 95 percent votes because he is Igbo..

The Igbos that are not tribalistic can't point to one non - Igbo (not even Yoruba now, just any other tribe) in their 5 South Eastern States cabinet..

When the Igbo can't subdue you or take what is yours to add to his own, he'll see every wrong in what you do. Those are the kind of beings we have been putting up with in Nigeria.. I before others.

Yoruba Agbo sellers are gradually turning Anambra market to Agbo market yet, no one is harassing them.

All we say is that they should be respectful to there hosts and obey all the safety rules

Yoruba has been using agbo in our homeland for centuries with no problem. We will continue its use into future. Its healing and immuno benefits are without doubt an essential tonic for the body. The creation and distribution is derived through family guilds of Yoruba alchemists.

The problem with agbo in Iboland is that Ibos copied the Yoruba model from SW strictly for profit making. Lack of knowledge in what compounds and minerals to brew and extract for the tonics has resulted in abuse and fake products. People in iboland are drinking poison brewed and hawked by their fellow ibos to mimick agbo.

Government intervention is timely.
