Then he said to me do you speak Igbo I said yes
Stop calling them Nigerians abeg! What nonsense!! angry

He asked clearly "do you speak Igbo"?

They are in international airspace and he identified as "Igbo", not Nigerian.

So title should be "TWO IGBO MEN DIE AFTER DRUG IN THEIR STOMACH BURST OPEN".
Very Good Governance.
This is how it is done in a sane society.

Sanwo-Olu 100 days in office is making more mark more than than the 4 years some corrupt governors will use in office.

Some of them have already shared the 4 liters of kerosene they are there to share throughout their 4 years tenure.
1 liter per year! wink
Shameless animals, worshipped by losers!
Ambode is lucky he did not govern on other side. Sanwo Olu would have sent thugs to go beat him and his children. Saraki would have been bytch-slapped and kicked in the groin and the coat of arms at his gate tore up and smashed.

I bow in respect to Yoruba and their civilized way. Even in disagreement their civility rises to surface.

janey1984:
The NAKED TRUTH
Unfortunately, Nigeria cannot touch South Africa.
We have no chips to negotiate with.
We hold nothing to put the South African government under pressure.

First off, this is a shithole.

There's no infrastructure.
Minimum wage is 18k.
You provide your own energy. Your own water, and your own security.

What about ease of doing business?
Don't make me laugh. Everything in this country (even in the corporate world) is done by Akpako. Because nothing is working...
Isn't that the first place reason that our youths check out to other countries?

They want a life. And SA provides life.

Alas. SA people are lazy, useless and pukes.
They want foreigners out of their country so they can have the jobs that they were too lazy to do in the first place.
There have been waves and waves of these xenophobic attacks. Yet waves and waves of Nigerians still relocate to South Africa. And those who are already there will not come back home ( come do wetin?)

What does that tell you?

Oh you want to talk about MTN, DSTV and Shoprite? How many South Africans work in the Nigerian branches of those companies?
Oya attack those businesses and put your brothers and sisters out of work na.
Their country is flooded with Nigerians. Whereas there's a handul of them here.
So we are even handicapped ♿ diplomatically. We have to kiss their ass.
The best Nigeria can do diplomatically is to rally support against SA. But what can we offer the other African countries?
We have nothing! Absolutely nothing!!!
We are a joke.
The South Africans don't need us, and they know it.

Assuming we were to boycott SA businesses in Nigeria, what's our alternative?
Oya boycott dstv for example. Where will you watch your BBN? all your Wiz kid and Davido, and all your movie producers, how will they make their money? How do you even think our entertainment industry even became so alive and wealthy in the first place?
Boycott MTN and you're left with glo and 9mobile ✝ and Airtel.
What about shoprite? Hahahaha. They're everywhere o. Where did you get all those stuffs before they camehuh

We have NOTHING.

The Dangotes and Otedolas are enjoying privileged licences. They'll not have to be creative to earn their keep.
They invest only where there is guaranteed/ easy profits, and where government patronage is likely.
Government gat their backs.
Our politicians will fleece the resources of the country and build hotels, mega fuel depots, tank farms, and obtain licence to import fuel.
Nothing more. Nothing more...

We can't touch South Africa.
Or any other country that serves us shit.
Because we have NOTHING!

I sympathise with myself as a Nigerian, and more with any of my countryman out there who ha been bullied , killed, beaten, or has lost their livelihood in the search for a life, or for greener pastures in foreign lands...
May God help us all.
Amen.
COPIED
Good write up!

Anytime you flood a territory with your people you must get a reciprocal number of them to flood your territory. If that balance is missing you are at their mercy.

All the outrage about SA xenophobia is just political correctness by most, by tomorrow evwrybody is back to business as usual.

The guys raising dust about shoprite are only doing so and escalating the issue for opportunity to loot.

If Nigerians truly want to punish SA for the repeated acts of xenophobia....please relocate away from their unfriendly territory. Find somewhere else to go. Thats how you punish your attacker....abandon his market.

If you cant do that then we have become slaves even in SA....and a sitting and accessible population to harass, moleat and vandalize.

Another attack is coming in future. Abi na today SA begin attack Nigerians? grin

Prove to the world you are worthy....abandon and stop settling in SA. Simple!

You are a fool.

I'm Yoruba and I'm happy to see this for once.

It's unfortunate that it took a years since I've been on nairaland but I'm still happy this is the first post that I would see that encourages SOUTHERN unity.

We have been too divided for long.
Charity begins at home!

Southern unity ought to be practiced when fulani herdsmen raze a village or rape a woman in South.....not in far away SA.

Next time you hear Ibos are under attack by fulani or hausa please speak up. You will impress me at that point. At moment....no, im not impressed with your advocacy.

Xenophobia happens here in Nigeria and is worse than the version in SA.

You can say whatever you like, but it won't change the fact that we lead Nigeria while others follow, without the northerners the Yorubas are nothing in politics. Having said that, I respect the Yoruba nation but not evil individuals like you who are spoiling the good names of the Yoruba..You are nothing but a jobless tribal bigot.
Back up... grin

You didnt start with leadership. You were concerned for a people that you have been slaugjtering since 1945.....and as recent as yesterday you issued a threat to them to act right or they will not see peace.

If you want to talk about leadership please do me a favor....open a new thread so i can join you and debate leadership.

This thread is about xenophobia....an art that you have mastered very well and not at shame to unleash when it suits you.

Meanwhile, i know you are not a northerner. grin

People like you are part of the problems we have in this country. Even as a northerner that I am, I am so saddened by the acts of these South Africans. We need to shun tribalism and fight this menace together. You are huge disgrace to the Yoruba nation and Nigeria at large.
You Northerners are worse than SA. grin

You have done worse in massacres and bloodshed than SA would ever do.

Your own xenophobia is worse. Your leader just told Wike yesterday to rebuild mosque "if he wants peace". grin. Terrorism loading.....

We refuse to join you in your nonsense. Your cup is full and now SA are killing you are looking for attache.

Two weeks ago in Ogun State Yoruba dealt with SA for killing a Yoruba guy in SA. We didnt call the whole nation and we didnt raise alarm. We handled business!

SA come after you and you are raising alarm. What happened to your warrior spirit? You need Yoruba to fight in your defense, correct? grin

These two videos show clearly that it is not only Igbos under attack. Yorubas are also under serious attack and are defending themselves, like the Igbos. And for those who are still under the illusion that only Igbos are in SA; ask yourself why a Yoruba is the current president of Nigerian Association in SA. You think Igbos only put him there? The previous president was an Igbo. It is turn by turn

These videos are a good reason to eschew tribalism on this issue and work together to fight (by any means possible) two common enemies: the SA people and the stupid Nigerian government

Video 1: Igbos in defense mode in SA

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMBNPhCAS7E

Video 2: Yorubas in defense mode in SA

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yCCnwiLoIY
The whole issue is not about who is where.

Yoruba can live anywhere in the world and coexist with anybody and in a decade you wouldnt even know there is a Yoruba living in the community unless you are told.

Ibo is different. Ibo moves into a community and within six months everybody know you are there. Within a year their children are already dissapearing miraculously. The ones that dont dissapear are getting sick and high on drugs. When you moved in you were dropped off by a bus. In 9months your garage is filled with cars.

This is the problem everybody that you live with complain of. Even northerners tjat created a separate community called Sabongari so that they dont have to deal with your nonsense....they are also fed up!

SA were after Ibos....but now it doesnt even matter, any Nigerian is good for attack.

Since the Fbi-80 gang broke world record EFCC has arrested an average of two a week in the wanted list. If it was this easy for EFCC to dig them out of hiding, why hasnt that been their focus to control fraud at home before it became international embarassment?

Are you aware the picture of that child in that position could bring trouble?

It can be interpreted as child Indecency. Becareful brother.

Many of the things that in Nigeria we take in stride are forbbidden in some other cultures. Like if i carry my toddler sister out na.k3d to go to Iya Eleba next street it is called child abuse and indecent exposure.

Na so we see am....becareful my brother.
