Politics › Re: There Are Not Up To 100 Yorubas Or Hausas That Can Speak Fluent Igbo by MetaPhysical: 1:08am On Sep 17, 2019
gidgiddy:
Besides the Yorubas or Hausas who were born or raised in Igbo land, there are not up to 100 Of them who can speak fluent Igbo.

Most Yorubas and Hausas dont know more than three words in the Igbo language, if any at all.

A typical Yoruba man or Hausa man cannot tell you anything about Igbo culture.

But if you are where the typical Yoruba/Hausa is arguing about why we should all remain as "one Nigeria", you will think it the Igbo man is his immediate junior brother.

In stark contrast, many Igbos are fluent in Yoruba and Hausa. I have seen some Igbos who speak fluent Hausa but have never even been to the North. They learnt it from a neigbour who is a Northerner

There are thousands of Igbos who speak Yoruba. Late Biafran Warlord, General Ojukwu, spoke Yoruba as if he was a Yoruba man just by living in Lagos.

worldwide, there are not up to 100 Yorubas or Hausas who can speak fluent Igbo

Asusu Igbo bu egwu eji!
There has never been a universally accepted Igbo leader who did not speak Yoruba. All your political leaders and even some military leaders in Old Eastern Region spoke Yoruba well.

Azikiwe
Mbadiwe
Ibiam
Achebe
Ojukwu
Nwachukwu.

Some of the above spoke both Yoruba and Hausa, in addition to their Igbo ethnic dialect.

I do not know of any Yoruba leader in Old Western Region that spoke Igbo. If any Hausa leader in Old North spoke Igbo I do not know that as well.

I thought Obasanjo speaks Igbo, does he not?

Of course, it is not free. He has already cemented the contract to bring all willing Nigerians back.

Rightly so, but please give that man the credit of coming out and willing to do at least the first batch for free.
Of course his intent is acknowledged and he should be well in line to get compensated since FG made official declaration. Some people want to wave it in the aqir as an act of philantrophy. It is not. grin All returnees are covered by FG. Air Peace should get a certificate of appreciation for their community service + remuneration for cost.

Even when videos of Yorubas in SA brandishing cutlasses to defend themselves surfaced. It's really sad being a Yoruba. They live in self denial
First of all, Yorubas dont brandish machette or cutlass. Thats an Ibo symbol for manhood.
Yoruba will carry gun or sword when we want blood.

Take a toll and you will see that the highest returnees are Yorubas. Is this not correct?

It means those with a definite root to return to are Yorubas. No be so? grin

US has never concluded any international hostility in such remarks as "it looked like..."

They have always depended on the resources of their espionage, surveillance, intelligence and counter-intelligence team to brief the President in the affirmative of an incidence.

This one that Trump said "it looked like...", this thing get K-Leg o!

Their mission is to intercede for NOI to be pardoned so she could attend funeral services for her deceased father. May his soul rest in peace!

I think she knows now in 2019 what she ignorantly took by assumption pre-2015. Given another chance I believe she would be more scrupulous and disciplined. Moreover, she is sober now and reflective. The government should put politics aside and embrace her remorseful approach.

Meanwhile Americans worship their flag. Look on their flag they have their own belief for super natural cause. Even their anthem is about the flag with a divine purpose.

Why do you want to use State resource (arrest & prosecuted) to silence opposition to fulanization and islamization?

Arent you affirming the claim that fulani is protected and priviledged under Buhari national government?

The much touted and celebrated appearance describing his entry in terms like..."amid tight security" ...was a flop!
