RTSC:Look in the chart of registered voters released by INEC, do you see ethnic breakdown? |
forgiveness:They dont vote their own. They never do, always surrenders to North. Every election year Ohanaeze will come out and warn that any Ibo who goes against their endorsement is a bast3ard, and the endorsements is always a non-Ibo. To top the caviar, Ohanaeze will promise that the incumbent will hand over power to Ibo. The biggest scam i ever seen. It happened with Obasanjo, they said Obasanjo will handover to Ibo that no Ibo should compete. Then Jonathan will handover to Ibo, dont compete with him. Atiku will handover to Ibo, dont support Buhari. When Yoruba becomes President, dont compete with him....he is going to handover to Ibo. ![]() This is all they know...dont compete, wait, its our turn and it will be handed over. |
pchukwudi:I guess you failed to reflect on the three views and our attitude towards politics. Yorubaland is our first priority! Whether we are the ruler, the opposition, or detached from the center, as long Yorubaland is thriving, nothing else matters. We achieve dynamism for Yorubaland through our political calculations. If our political calculations fail, which has happened before and we lost ruling, we have capacity to fold down into an opposition or a parallel government. We can handle any political outcome, whatever it is. The proof is there for you on ground. The North lost out in 2011. They went into opposition. A part of the North has lost out in 2019, they will go into opposition. Yoruba will compete and get 2023. Its your headache whether you join in the competition or surrender to North to champion your battle. For your info no APC member with power to influence party direction has denied power returning to South in 2023. Babachir has no political value in his own state. Junaid belongs in PDP. So APC returns power to South in 2023. |
pchukwudi:The bold is not true. What does the North have that you do not? You Ibos see government from one perspective only - the man at the top, the ruler! You fail to acknowledge like the Yorubas do that even from an opposition role a ruling government can be brought to its knees and forced into compromise to progress society. If Christian North was that relevant for you why did your delegates from East pick muslim Atiku over christian Makarfi at the PortHarcourt primaries? You have to ally with somebody to make progress in life. No individual is self-sufficient. No region is either. Today North is your enemy, tomorrow West is your enemy, next day South is your enemy. When are you going to make friends? ![]() You make me laugh with your responses. |
pchukwudi: ![]() Im not selfish. Its reality, sir! You are accepting defeat when you surrender what is yours to others without a fight. Stop saying North will rule forever....dont you want to rule? If you do find allies to endorse your candidacy, instead of resolving your fate in the hands of North to fight your battle. |
pchukwudi:Regionally, Yorubas have always preserved and presented SW as a political asset, and it paid off. We know of three possibilities in Nigerian politics- 1. As a ruling government 2. As an opposition government 3. As a parallel government We have served in everyone of these capacities successfully. From 1999 to 2003 SW was AD and opposition government. From 2003 to 2007, with exception of Lagos, SW was PDP ruling government. From 2007 to 2011, SW went back to opposition, AC. From 2011 to 2015 SW was ACN, ran a parallel government to PDP. From 2015 to 2019 SW was APC and in ruling government. |
Noccerino: ![]() They should. Ibo has slaved for them too long and earned the right to be its presidential candidate. |
TonyeBarcanista:I love your first response on the arrangement that a mere absence from the soil on official duties does not absolve the President of his sovereign responsibilities, and that only absence of a personal nature, whether on the soil or not, transfers power to next tier. On the response of the role of Chief of Staff however I would like for you to review it. Consider that they are all servants of government. President has personal aides and he has official aides. The position of a Chief of Staff is official - he is the executor of policies formulated in the cabinet. Temporary absence does not impact CoStaff. In the event the president, the vp, sp will not return, and their absence is permanent, which gives room to the speaker first becoming acting, and then subsequently substantial president after oath of office, the Chief of Staff remains in office until replaced or substituted by the incoming. Forget the above.... Modified! Secretary to the Government is who I had in mind. |
Gabriel004: ![]() |
Congratulations to the 3some! ![]() As for PDP thingy...the MC put that in, hoping Atiku, Agbaje, Wike, Ikpeazu and Tambuwal and especially Adeleke would show up and "grace" the event. ![]() |
Honor10:Ibo cannot win national election as a presidential candidate without Yoruba endorsement. Go back to days of NCNC in the 50s and 60s. Its political base was Lagos. Get a list of the political mavericks of the NCNC, the ones that gave it success and you will see they were majority Yorubas, followed by people in what later became Midwest, and then Ibos. But after winning victories Azikiwe rewarded the Ibos above the Midwesterners and Yorubas. This is what led Akintola to make that popular broadcast warning Yorubas about Ibos. Yorubas formed NCNC, formed AG, UPN, AD, ACN and now in APC. These were all very successful parties in their eras, either in opposition or in ruling. Make a list of parties formed by Ibos and you cant find progress or popularity. While Yorubas are eyeing Osinbajo as a legacy of Awolowo through his marriage and hoping he will run in 2023 so we can rally behind him.....in APGA Mrs Ojukwu, the legacy of Ikemba, was kicked out of Anambra and told she cannot be Senator because she is not indigene and told to go to Enugu. ![]() |
hammerFC:If we call ourselves Westerners you rookies refuse to acknowledge it. We actually do not like the Southerner prefix. We are in the West of Nigeria, not South. |
ChristianNorth:You cannot compete and win against Yoruba. We have always known this. You want positions to be gifted to you, in a competitively hostile landscape. To make matters worse you are always antagonistic against the ones with power to bring you the gift. |
Wiseandtrue:We marked your words in 2015 that Yoruba will never be VP. Osinbajo became VP....and your words collapsed! We marked your words when you said in 2017 that Tinubu's political career is finished and El Rufai is the new boss. Few months later we saw El Rufai visiting Bourdillon and bowing to greet Tinubu. Your words collapsed! We marked your words when you said Buhari is going back to Daura in 2019 and Yoruba will suffer the consequence of outing GEJ. Buhari won election and Yoruba remains part and parcel of the party and administration. Your words collapsed! Mr man, your words lack virtue. ![]() |
Kenturkey048:We loved him. He allowed "the pillars of his administration" to destroy his political fortune. |
PHIPEX:SE has not been fair and equitable to APC. Do you know the number of times Boss Mustapha went to SE and told you if you voted Buhari he will handover to you in 2023? You all mocked him and said Buhari cannot determine whether you become president or not and that you are determined to sack and return him to Daura. They already gave you the offer you mocked it. |
Wiseandtrue:Party decides candidates. The party man is speaking for his party. Junaid Muhammad is PDP and he spoke for his party. Babachir cannot even speak for his state, let alone for the North. |
OgundeleT:That table shows what parties can expect regionally and how to zone for victorious outcome. Looking at the 25% quota performance by the candidates, SW demonstrated itself as a serious partner attached to political progress. |
Obainoneandonly:Your statement is an assumption of what the north will or will not do. You will notice that my stats included parties. It is party performance by states and regions. Politics is risk game and every party know this when selecting candidates. Yoruba is a political asset to any party. We are not a risk at all. Here is what is almost certain - APC will nominate a Yoruba in 2023 with a Northern VP. If PDP nominates a Southerner it will be Yoruba , with a Northern VP. |
Saao:He cant retain it. He is just forming machoman for people that care to acknowledge him. Im not sure some of you are aware of APCs determination to enforce party discipline any shape and way it takes. The most people will do is cry blood and send to UN. Truth of the matter is if Nigeria distabilizes Africa will follow in its distabilization one form or another. Global powers would rather look away than condemn our leaders. So lawmakers are getting ready to get a taste of a power bigger than them. In a democracy, party owns Assembly. |
![]() |
peeps4u:Election to Assembly is representative. If a party refuses to put its name (APC or PDP) on the ballot in Dino's constituency, how is he going to be in Assembly? The party has contract with the constituency the candidate represents. Party can choose not to go into contract with a constituent, however popular its candidate is they wont go anywhere. Look at Okorocha...he won but wont get certificate because party killed his victory. It is lack of knowledge to say party did not contribute victory to the candidate's success. |
Simbrixton:I will point Reno's family house to you in his village in Bayelsa. Do you have name of his mother's compound in Yorubaland? |
Iblad0994:They have identified the word betrayal as a pressure button. Yoruba, instead of responding to it nonchalantly reacted emotionally. If i call a strange number, i dont know who is at the other end. I dont even know if its a good number. If you pick it up you indicated to me the number is good. So now im going to keep it. When i have a product to sell im going to call and harass you. . If you didnt pick up when i rang it, i would think twice about saving it or ever calling back to it. Its a simple trick. ![]() |
Simbrixton:Wrong! Reno is from the creeks of Bayelsa |
Elvis778:Many of you view North as one homogenous region but its not. They have division lines just like we do in South. You saw it creeped up in the just concluded presidential election. |
Why is Kanu now interested in "asking" for Biafra? I thought he wanted to "create" Biafra Tell him to first return here and then register a Biafran political party with INEC since he is now interested in a legitimate process under the law. |
Duhu, who expressed displeasure at the way the party leadership is treating some of its members, said there is no way the party can control its members when it did not play a major part in ensuring their election. Please who is the d0mmy that made this statement? He should be banned from sharing any more political input. The party was on the ballot! Many Nigerians are still very knowledge deficient in election and its processes. |
ITbomb:i hope not. This is to educate and affirm where we stand. It does not need to lead to fight. If other Southern groups believe they have a more daunting argument against my position they better bring it. We need info, not fight. Race for 2023 has started and there is not going to be a "it's our turn, it should be given to us" mumbo-jumbo! Everyone interested in the position should compete for it. |
Every zone must COMPETE! Nobody gives to anyone. |
