thesicilian:i spend them immediately on easily tradeable commodities like bags of rice, mellon, beans etc leaving only the cash i need for day to day transactions, this also preserves the value of my money against inflation since i can sell those commodities after some months of storage at a higher price. I have plans to gradually invest in plantation agriculture starting with a small demo farm this year among other plans. I hide cash at home and don't allow visitors into my bedroom. |
Jesus christ asked the women of Samaria to stop crying for him but to instead cry for themselves and their children. Nigerians are yet to understand our gradual but steady decline into poverty and hardship due to economic mismanagement. Some of us are still feeling woke because they can still intimidate their neighbours with a fairly used Toyota Camry. |
I avoid dealing with Nigerian commercial banks except where it's absolutely necessary, i don't save with them, i don't have an atm card, i keep my distance from those government backed thieves. |
I know so many families having this problem right now, i don't support couples cheating each other but the ladies are doing it now so brashly and it doesn't make any sense to me. Those young men too needs guidance, why sleep with married women (some of them in their forties and fifties) when you can marry and be happy with your wife? single girls plenty everywhere sef. |
Paperworka:the guy you're quoting is a paid online agent from the government, i have long stopped responding to him on his almost daily anti IPOB threads, why tye moderators haven't banned him for false information is what i don't know. |
Nigerian doctors (including Igbos) are in Saudi Arabia. Maybe you're living in an unpopular location for Nigerian immigrants. |
kalu61:OOK has lost credibility, Umahi have lately been seen as a betrayer and extremist due to his recent unguarded statements, harsh actions and the negative press from the PDP politicians fighting back, Ogbonna Onu have credibility but he has not showed any serious interest. Ohanaeze is currently an object of ridicule in the east, they can't deliver block votes and should not because partisan politics would tear it apart, we can't forget that two parallel elections was just held by Ohanaeze and the less popular faction might go to court to derail the organisation. |
kalu61:unfortunately, Ohanaeze have no control over the southeastern/southsouth voters, APC currently have no Igbo candidate with mass appeal, they need to shop for a candidate that can match Peter Obi of PDP in a free and fair election. Somebody like Kingsley Moughalu who is also from Anambra state might serve. |
A country been held together by force of arms would eventually break apart, there's no two ways about it. |
News of kidnappings and violent crimes fills the FrontPage and news media everyday, yet it's ESN that the Nigerian police are after. Zoogeria |
There's no direct correlation between his suicide and Trump, even the police have not yet commented on a reason for taking his life yet the news article is making it look like he did it because Trump is stepping down, the gang up against Trump especially in the press is really very strong. |

Sodiq Oyeleke Commercial drivers on Wednesday protested against alleged extortion by officials of the Lagos State task force. The protest left many passengers stranded along the Agege-Ogba- Berger axis of Lagos. As of 12.14 pm, gridlock had begun to pile up along the route with many passengers trekking long distances. Some of the drivers held weapons in a bid to resist further arrests. They also attacked their colleagues who attempted to convey passengers and dislodge others. The protesters barricaded the road at the popular Omole junction. One of the drivers, David, told our correspondent that he was made to pay N20, 000 by the task force officials. “I was in the park when they arrested me. I was buying sachet water and I suddenly found some of them (task force officials) in my vehicle. I asked them what my offence was but they only said I have been arrested. I eventually paid N20,000 before I was freed,” he added. Another protester lamented that some task force officials were making it difficult for them to recoup their investment in the transportation business. He said, “They said we should not drive Okada (motorcycle) again, we bought Keke Napep (tricycle). They banned that again and we bought minibusses. They still collect money from us as if we are operating illegally. We are tired of being treated like criminals. We cannot continue to pay illegal fees again. Anytime they stop you, they start to demand N20,000. This is unfair.” When contacted on the telephone, the spokesman for the Lagos State Task Force, Mr Taofeek Adebayo, denied the allegation that the commercial drivers were being extorted. He said, “The fact remains that their protest will not stop the agency from carrying out its statutory functions in enforcing the Lagos State Transport Reform. https://punchng.com/breaking-passengers-stranded-as-commercial-drivers-protest-in-lagos/ |

agitator:They can be charged for criminal negligence of the child that fell sick and died. |
Within the next three months, the Nigerian market would likely be flooded with the type of affordable paternity test kits available on Amazon but supplied from China, that's when the real wahala would burst. men should also learn to have their children's blood group and genotype checked at birth, it can reveal false paternity for those that can interpret the results, most Nigerian doctors knew about the high rate of paternity fraud in Nigeria through these tests but they're legally not allowed to tell the husbands. |
CodeTemplar:The freedom and free elections we enjoyed under Jonathan have all been destroyed by this regime, my happiness is that even northern Muslims and Yorubas like Sowore that Buhari in power are suffering the intimidation and discrimination. |

Olufemi Olaniyi, Ibadan
Forty-seven Fulani men armed with
guns and other weapons have been
arrested in Igangan, Oyo State, by
men of Operation Burst, which is a
joint security team of soldiers and
policemen.
Our correspondent gathered that the
suspects were arrested in the early
hours of Sunday by the Ofiki River
along the Tapa/Igangan Road in the
Ibarapa North Local Government Area
of the state.
Sources told our correspondent that
the Fulani were allegedly invited to
strike by their kinsmen following the
raid carried out by the men of the
Oyo State Security Network Agency
otherwise known as Operation
Amotekun in the area on Saturday.
Amotekun said it raided the hideouts
of kidnappers in the area on Saturday
leading to the death of three persons,
while one of its men was also
injured. The security outfit said the
raid was carried out in collaboration
with Miyetti Allah vigilantes, hunters
and others.
When contacted about the arrest, the
state Police Public Relations Officer,
Mr Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the
arrest to our correspondent.
He said, “The arrested Fulani men
have been transferred to the SCID,
Iyaganku, Ibadan, for discreet
investigation.
“Though it was alleged that the
Fulani men claimed that they were
trailing some kidnappers, who were
about to collect ransom from
relations of a kidnapped victim,
investigation has been intensified on
the matter.”
However, the Coordinator of Odua
People’s Congress in Oyo State,
Rotimi Olumo, told our correspondent
that his men in the area told him that
the Operation Burst outfit arrested
the suspects.
Similarly, the OPC coordinator in the
Ibarapa Zone, Olanrewaju
Ogedengbe, said the armed Fulani
were in three buses.
He said, “Forty-seven of them were
arrested at the Ofiki River. They were
caught with Dane guns and after
their buses were searched,
sophisticated guns, bows and
arrows, charms, catapults and bullets
were found.
“I heard that security men have come
to arrest the Seriki Fulani. He was
arrested this morning (Monday).
Those arrested said they were
brought from Ilorin, Iseyin and other
places. They wore Vigilante Group of
Nigeria uniform.”
But when contacted by our
correspondent, the son of the Seriki
Fulani, Umoru Salisu, said the Fulani
men and Amotekun had planned to
carry out the raid on the criminal
hideouts, but Amotekun went ahead
before the men arrived.
He stated that the Fulani men,
however, did not leave the area after
the raid was carried out, adding that
the hasty decision of Amotekun
caused a rift between the agency and
the Fulani men.

Adelani Adepegba, Abuja A notorious kidnapper, Mohammed Ahmadu, notorious for terrorising commuters on the Abuja-Kaduna and Abuja-Lokoja highways was abducted by another kidnap gang and had to pay N1.55 million for his freedom. Ahmadu was said to have visited the gang’s hideout to sell ammunition when he was kidnapped and shot in the arm when he hesitated to pay the ransom. The kingpin was among 18 suspects paraded by the Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, in Abuja, on Monday. The police said Abubakar Umaru aka Buba Bargu, 35, was one of the gang leaders that abducted Ahmadu. Mba said Umaru, who was notorious for always killing his victims, took over the leadership of the crime syndicate after the gang leader and his deputy were neutralised by security operatives. Mba said Ahmadu had boasted he had charms and could not be shot and Umaru shot him to show how serious he was. The police spokesman said Umaru had strong links with a major terror group in the North. He stated, “Ahmadu is also known as ‘Confirm’ because he was a reputed marksman in the underworld. Yet, he was kidnapped and released after he paid N1.55m.” Ahmadu, who said he had been involved in more kidnap operations than he can remember, revealed that he was abducted after supplying 90 rounds of live ammunition to Umaru. He said Umaru was associated with the Boko Haram sect, recalling that there was a time his own gang kidnapped 20 victims at a time. He stated, “I have saved up to N15m from these nefarious activities. I witnessed an operation where Buba (Umaru) kidnapped 55 persons from a luxurious bus at a time.” Umaru said he had been involved in kidnapping for the past three years, adding that he operated on the highways only. “I broke up with Buji to form my own kidnap gang because of unfairness in sharing ransom money,” he stated. https://punchng.com/kidnapper-pays-n1-55-ransom-to-regain-freedom-after-abduction/ |
