Just seeing this now.....

As Agabai23 rightly opined, you can't get huge calf from skipping, I thought you were even talking about your thighs.... some people's thighs look scrawny when they diet/ do too much cardio without resistance training..

I skip a fair bit, at least 500 at a go & I have "thunder thighs" cos I do lot of squats/ lunges compound lifts with medium heavy dumb bells (for me, 10kg) as well....

Even after taking a year+ off to manage a difficult pregnancy & taking care of baby K, (with the gain that comes with slacking off grin) , the legs are still on point....

How far with the Jillian Michaels 30 Day shred we talked about?
I was able to get the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred on soft copy. I don't know if I overdid the skipping cos I was doing morning and evening sessions and I really slacked then though I didn't check to see if I lost on the scale too. I fell off the wagon when hubby complained but I'm getting back on it though slowly.
@agaba123, my son can suck for Africa at night so I always waking up very ravenous. I know its not an excuse as I can always watch what I eat but sometimes.....hmmmm. Seriously counting the weeks though. Thanks

Were your legs small to start with??

In the interim, look up body weight exercises, do those so that you can get stronger in anticipation, you may not lose on the scale , your body will become tighter...

P.S.. You can never go wrong with squats...
Not small o my dear, he's worried the inakoko (abi calves) lol will come out. Thanks for the tips.

MGeey how far?
Hmmm, still on it. The portion control affected my milk production so I had to chill. Hubby is complaining that the skipping is making my legs slimmer so I've reduced that drastically too. My son is 10 months today, two more months to go on breastfeeding and I'll tackle portion control squarely. Thanks for the check-up.

Hi, welldone for the selfless service. Please i need your help. I'm naturally blessed with a good skin but my face is giving me problems. I have acne! The acne is not really bothering, i'm bothered by my face (skin). It's darker than my body and it's not fresh (dunno if im making sense) i"ll appreciate a product that will remove impurities and help restore my skin. Thanks a lot.

Please i am also interested. My baby gulps a tin of food in 2 days. Please where can i get carton of original frisogold. My other teammates please any luck with your babies on adult food and other sabi mammas. My lil man is 9 months.
Cc: olaoyekemi, rashme, nggie, everybody sha angry
Plenty luck on eba/soup and mashed foods. For cereals, he took cerelac, Nutrend for some weeks and rejected it. I tried gerber and he spit it, i gave him the second time he vomited after. I know he prefers adult food and i do make them for him just that some days, like Sunday mornings, i wish he would just take tin food. All in all, i thank God.

Getting.confused with all these diaper issues! No one had mentioned pampers so far sha angry

What size of huggies did you buy and how old is your baby? I used it for my boys and didn't have any issues at all! But then times have changed
We've been using pampers premium care since when we were 3months old, we're 9months now, no issues at all.

Put little water in a pot then put it on fire to boil, mix a small quantity of powdered semo in ordinary water in a bowl and pour it in the boiling water then stir with turning stick. Allow it to boil for few secs and its done. Put ur desired amout of milk in it after cooling and feed your baby. The taste is yummy...
I just heard that some people put vry little quantity of sugar in it to taste.
Which type of semo did you use please? Dangote, Golden Penny?

Great work at MGeey. I have a question please. for someone who is always on a very busy schedule-say, 6am to 8pm, how can he carry on with exercises in order to lose weight??
I have a very busy schedule too. Most days I exercise between 9/10pm. On such days I don't eat from 4pm. If your location is secure, you can run as early as 5am or skip in your compound. I hope I was able to help.

I DID it right yesterday. Only felt pressure not pain. I dedicated 30 mins for squats, planks, jogging and crunches. Couldn't do much today because my joints aches.

You should NEVER feel pain when doing any kind of exercise, what you should feel is stress on the muscle being used.
Pain is caused either bad form... pls don't damage anything ooo grin .. Do skipping for now, perfect your plank before stepping it up to push ups... watch Youtube videos of planks to learn good form..
3kg is great,or you can do my old style, get 2 big Eva water bottles, fill them up with sand, then add water to cake it, it will serve to get you acquainted with light weight....
Maybe it was pressure o because when i stopped i didn't feel it again. Gonna try your water bottle dumb bells cheesy for starters. Many thanks

So I did push ups today (very tough) though I was able to get the easiest for beginners. Thereafter I did planks, squats and some body shaking. I didn't time/count any since there was much rest in-between grin
I have a question though, I felt pains in my waist area while doing the push ups, is that suppose to happen when done right?

@modath, please do you think the 3kg dumb bell's too much for beginners? Thanks

[quote author=modath[/quote]Thanks a lot. You're a darling. I was able to glean a lot from the first 20 pages. I'm waiting for payday grin to get dumb bells(3kg) and the 30 days shred from Konga. I'll google the rest if the info. I started playing around yesterday and I hope to achieve desirable results.

My sis from that other side.. cheesy

Diet is 80%, exercise is just 20%, that nothwistanding, you can still get great results if you can work HARD!!

Can you dedicate 45mins 4-5x a week t exercise?
Yes I can! The question is what should I do? Skipping, walking, running (area not too safe for early morning runs), register at a gym (no time) but I'm determined in doing this if not for any other thing, to be able to wear high waist skirts grin again. God help me.

..it's a normalized Yoruba curse.. Tho if u say it to ur friend it more of expressing ur anger..it won't sound like ur cursing... Anyways it means.." It will not better for ur grandmother" no offence that's the direct meaning.. In a slang context it means "like I care." Something like that..
Thanks.

Hi, please I have a 3 year old niece that I want to give supplement to. Reason being that she doesn't eat unless forced to, even at that the quantity she eats is not much. A pharmacist prescribed becombion to boost her appetite and folic acid to build blood because her blood level was low and even her weight. Please advise on what to give. Thanks
