Tinubu left government in 2007 and hasn't held or contested for any public office since then.
Amaechi, Osinbajo are still in office and seeking another one, what could be more desperate than that? Obi is busy jumping from one party to another, that's not desperation in your uncle's dictionary, right?

Tinubu almost want to be an opposition against Buhari before the primaries.

He subtly attack Buhari (his own party leader) cos of his ambition, he talked how he helped Buhari, Atiku and every other person just to get votes.

If u were able to see the agitation of youths be4 primaries, u would know that the people are asking both parties to give them a young and vibrant leader (it was a clear message that they dont want Atiku and Tinubu).

Even after Obi decamped, he was not much popular as people were looking forward to APC primaries but immediately Tinubu got the ticket, Obi's popularity spread like Australian fire.
The problem is that the APC and PDP underestimated the people.

Most APC supporters now had to throw their weight on PO.

my uncle is a delegate in APC but was so much against Tinubu and always talked about his desperation, he votes for Amaechi but alas, he lost.
