Nothing wey person no go hear for this country sef... Boko Haram don turn to human rights activists, abi na wetin? |
This might be a wrong time for the ban on this book to be lifted... Just imagine the kind of tension it can cause on our already delicate polity this period. |
The mandate of Abians has been stolen... |
The level of impunity and disregard for laws in Nigeria has reached a cresendo under GEJ. The whole sector in the nation has been totally ridiculed. No day goes by without tales of complete abuse of power, insecurity and corruption by elected officials who are supposed to be protecting citizens. What are our officials doing over there in Abuja? What's GEJ doing? Just residing in Aso rock, wining and dining with his cohorts and smiling as if all is well in Nigeria? TBH,i just can't wait for GEJ to hand over let's start the process of rebuilding this nation and restoring our pride as Nigerians. OP,like someone said above, don't keep quiet. Inform the NBA;go to channels and report to them; report to other rtd army officials and serving ones you can reach. This rubbi.sh must stop in Nigeria. |
The words of Oba Akiolu will be remembered even in 20 yrs to come whether Nigeria exists or not. It will be passed down from fathers to Children, and it will shape the way Yorubas see Igbos, and vice versa...Except... |
OP,your major problem is idleness. Get busy with something worthwhile, and i assure you,you won't be opening this kind of fake,wanna-be tribalistic thread. |
If Majority of Lagosians are happy with the works Fashola has done, then why change it by voting in JK because of sentiments? I think it will benefit Lagosians more to have a governor of the same party with the incoming president. If the Igbos or any other group feel they've not been treated fairly in this Fashola's government, the right thing for them to do would be to negotiate with Ambode, table their concerns and reach an agreement with him. This is better than pitching their tents in block with an opposition who will not likely win. Or even if he wins, will be a direct opposition to the incoming Fg,thereby short-changing Lagosians. I think voting Ambode is best for business in Lagos. |
SLIDEwaxie:You think you have the Igbos figured out? How much were the Igbos given that they decided to stick with GEJ even when it seemed that other tribes ganged up against them? In your thinking now,an Igbo man in Lagos will leave his shop and other businesses and be touting around for a politician because of 500 naira? Let me tell you something that you obviously already know but chose to ignore - most Igbos in lagos don't actually care who wins the lagos governorship election; they just want a level playing ground for everybody,no matter who wins. Don't come online here and make assumptions about the Igbos just to massage your ego and make yourself feel good. No matter who wins in Lagos,or the harsh policies implemented,Igbos would still be there doing their businesses and probably fairing better than your ilks. Enough of all these insults on the Igbos. |
onyfrank:Bro,good you have the materials and result still intact. If it's possible, use your phones and snap the result sheets. This will to an extent mitigate against any plan to rig it . |
I really don't care who wins this election, and i know there a lot of other Nigerians who share the same sentiment with me. I ask myself some pertinent questions: have i in any way benefitted from this present government more than i have from previous governments? My answer is an honest No. Do i think i'll benefit from Buhari's government if he's elected? Still No. A lot of us are totally fed up with our present crop of leaders. We just shout ''GEJ till 2019'' or ''Sai Buhari'' just for the sake of feeling important in the scheme of things in Nigeria. Nigeria needs a ''Savior'';a breed regrettably, not among the present people parading themselves as our leaders. I just hope and pray for a better Nigeria. |
resty4:That's not gonna happen. It's already anticipated,so enough soldiers will be drafted in those places to ensure relative sanity. |
Some people are not just made to speak publicly on their own without a prepared speech. This man Sambo is one of them. He should learn to keep quiet and let people wonder what is in his mind, instead of openening his mouth and spewing thrash. What a shame! |
This so so disgusting. How could someone vomit this kind of poo from his mouth??!! What kind of reverse reasoning is this?? And moreover, coming from people who were shouting ''go to court!'' like touts. |
This is an opportunity for Abians to liberate themselves from the age-long shackles of the Orji families and their cabals. Abians can't afford to take chances by voting for Okezie Ikpeazu, who obviously would be a repeat of T.A Orji. Abians can't afford to be tied down yet again by stooges of T.A Orji for another 8 years while other states move forward positively. Abia state needs drastic/urgent intervention in almost all the sectors. Abia state needs industries,well-thought out plan for development for the hardworking Abians. And who better to do all these than Dr Alex Otti - a proven technocrat with brilliant record, one who would not afford for his name and good track record to be soiled? Abians be wise. |
This is a man who should be resting quietly in his house and receiving goodwill and courtesy visits and trying to remedy the wrongs he might have done in his hay days until he moves over to the other life, rather he's busy still making enemies for himself and struggling to rule over a people who clearly doesn't want him and dancing to the tunes of manipulations of people with ulterior motives. Doesn't this man have well-meaning relatives? If anything happens to this man-GMB(God forbid) before his time, then all those goaling this man and manipulating him will have this on their conscience. |
What sort of cock and bull story is this man telling Nigerians? What sort of insult is this? Is this how they want to take over the government? This is the worst kind of cluelessness and old wives fable i've heard in years....I'm totally embarassed to be hearing this kind of news from Nigeria...Infact,PDP should continue being in power until APC get their acts together! |
One thing is to be screaming and whining ''change!'' change!''. Another thing is to work hard seriously and honestly for that change without any shade of corruption. The last thing APC needs at this last minutes is all these negative dramas. |
The greatest challenge Buhari will have in his bid to becoming the president will come from his own party people. |
I respect this Man,OBJ; with all his short comings and all. He's just a very smart man who found himself in a complex country. He's achievements(both in business and otherwise) are testaments to his shrewdness and brilliance. In developed countries, this man could very head a large organization of covert intelligence operation, and perform remarkably well. |
I wish this man(Fashola) was contesting for presidency...I would have personally organized atleast 100000 votes for him. Ride on Fashola! In a country full of mediocre, you stand out. Remain focused and avoid distractions, and posterity will be good to you. |
I seriously doubt if those protesters were students or just ordinary agberos probably organized by opposition to forment trouble. No sane serious minded student would display such dirty, crass impoliteness towards a visiting president. This is as low as it can get. I feel so ashamed for those agberos. Even what their placards read displayed the height of their ignorance. Where were they when the successive military and other governments were ruining the country? Shame! Bunch of uncultured youths! |
Seems to me folks here are rejoicing over this...very unfortunate. To the Igbos: there's absolutely no need to criminalize this man. He has every right to be in the opposition of GEJ,and in the long run,it's simply a good game plan for the Igbos. Supporting GEJ based on sentiments alone is never wise;he has to actually work and justify the trust reposed on him. Even if he returns to office 2015,after 2019,what next? What next for the Igbos? No sentiments in politics. Igbos, celebrate and encourage your leaders no matter which party they belong. |
ofiafuluego:so how will you protect the SE states when the insurgents infiltrate states like Kogi, knowing fully well they have borders with SE? What plans do you have on ground? |
The easiest way for BH to infiltrate the southern zone of the country is through the middle belt/north central zone. Nobody should dismiss this thread as nonsense - especially the Yorubas. If BH can recruit people in the North central zone states like Kogi,Kwara,Plateau and Benue states, that means they've practically infiltrated the whole country, since most of these states have boundaries with other southern states and have a good number of Muslims;this will ease their plan better. This is a time for unity of the SW and SE,SS people. This is a time the SW and SE need each other more than ever. Infact,i advocate for a meeting of leaders in these aforementioned zones to discuss this very important issue. |

Frankly speaking, majority of Nigerians are fed up with the PDP and their leadership in the country. Nigerians, truly desire change;they're tired of the many problems bedeviling this Nation presently. They're tired of lack feasible positive impacts of the lives of Nigerians in a country with so much potentials to be one of the top 5 best countries in the world. They're tired of stories and long tales of propaganda without any positive reflection in the country. Day by day, apart from the menace of BH people in the north, people die due to serious lack of security in the country. They're tired of lack of basic amenities and infrastructure; they're tired of the whole rotten system. It now seems that the ray of hope lies in the hand of the opposition and how they play their politics. Will they(opposition) field in someone who's visionary and detribalized? Will they present someone who will not be seen as a Religion fanatic and don't risk been seen as not serious and credible enough? Will they sensitize the grass root masses like the OP pointed out? The ball indeed lies in their court at this point of the Nation's history. |
A Tambuwal and a southeasterner, like Okorocha, would give GEJ something to fight for seriously. It will bring in votes of the southeast people and test the allegiance of the S/w in the party and the sincerity of their desire for change. |
arresa:Now Dude, how do i begin to help you,if you can't see a BIG difference between the actions of Fayemi and Akpabio in the context you quoted? smh... |
Ya da ya da ya da...what's even with this fixation and obsession on Akpabio and Akwa ibom state? Is he the only Governor in the whole of Nigeria now? How about other Governors who have done far less in their various states compared to Akpabio? (and there are quite a good number of them). What you guys don't know or seem to forget is that each Governor of a state has his agenda for the state, and they will focus on that. So,if Akpabio's agenda is mainly to beautify the state, whose cup of tea is it,except for the people who elected him? Have you taken a survey to sample the opinion of the good people of Akwa ibom state who elected him concerning his policies. Abeg, free this man. Infact,i think the country needs a lot of beautifying projects considering the level of lack of modern facilities and infrastructures and untidiness common in the country. The next Governor can focus on other things when he comes in. The main issue is that he should be made to be accountable for his time in office when he leaves. |
I don't know where the supporters of Buhari pull out their own ''facts'' that they tout around from. I've asked around and a lot of Elderly people say things were very difficult and hash during Buhari's regime. I believe Nigerians deserve better than GEJ and much more than Buhari. |
