Abraham! See what these people have reduced governance to. They don't even try to hide their bias. So Amaechi is now a saint simply because he is in APC? Well, let it be on record and let posterity judge all those who because of selfish gains and hatred voted in this government. |
OP,i understand that injustice to one,is injustice to all,but FFK comes from a tribe; he has kinsmen,he's not even from a minority ethnic group. My point is: what are they doing about his travails? Why have they not taken to the streets to protest? The elders say when a father folds his hands and does nothing while he's son is maltreated,is it a stranger that will intervene? FFK's kinsmen in their 'wisdom' have declared him corrupt and deserving of the selective persecution he is getting,is it now other people that will fight for him? |
All those people ask for is proof... Provide evidence that the accused actually stole, simple! You're a lawyer yourself and you should know very well that you can't just go about arresting people on your whims without recourse to the constitution of the land. I don't think any of those groups you're alluding to have ever protested against the decision of any competent court on any of the accused,Mr Osibanjo. |
We expect the EFCC and DSS to move in and arrest these guys mentioned... This is a serious allegation. Buhari should use this opportunity and prove that this fight is not one sided afterall. |
Earth2Metahuman:Guy,are you saying that even from what you wrote up there, you still can't figure out her own defense? Gosh! Atimes i read comments on nairaland and imagine the kind of mentality some Nigerians have. Just imagine for a second you were in a position to decide someone's fate,so you would make a judgement based on your reasoning above and have the person executed? She said that the said account was not active from around 2012 - august 2016 ( within the period EFCC said the account was flagged),and yet you ask how it proves the allegations aren't true? Guy,it's not a mandatory to comment, especially, when you know very well you're incapable of understanding the whole issue. |
TimeManager:I should have ignored you but then again,i decided to verify if you're actually ok. Why are you screaming Igbos everywhere as if only Igbo Judges were arrested? Are you ok? |
Buhari really gaffed big time with that his statement. That statement should be the biggest hopeless statement ever made by a president in recent times. Imagine calling your wife of about 27 years a kitchen utensil and bedroom appliance before the whole world! Tufiakwa! |
Na una go tire... Keep on defending his numerous gaffe. |
@ mom007,i agree that some of the equipment one might need to carry out researches may be expensive, but it's the same with almost other professions. A practicing lawyer will need books worth almost hundreds of thousands of naira for his researches and to stay relevant in his field; a medical doc who wants to go into private practice will still need equipment that are expensive; an engineer will need equipment ( if he can't fabricate them himself) that are expensive too... Almost all other professions require costly materials. Why should it be different for a microbiologist? But a microbiologist has an advantage in the sense that microbes are ubiquitous. You already have the basic material you need. Other equipment can also be modified or fashioned by a microbiologist in worst case scenarios. What equipment do you think Louis Pasteur and Edward Jenner worked with in those days that they were able to achieve great feats? You don't necessarily need very expensive equipment for your pilot researches. As for biofuel production from waste materials, you can design a mini model for it,report your observations, make recommendations and then seek for sponsorship. Cheers. |
solatex02:weldone brother. There's just a whole lot for a microbiologist to do in our world today. Infact,i say this almost certainty: the future is for microbiologists and biotechnologists. This is because in our world today, there's the need for new improved ways of doing things and solving problems. The potentials of microbes are enormous, and in effect,a microbiologist. If you know how to manipulate microbes, you know how to research involving microbes, then my brother, you're practically unstoppable. In Environmental microbiology, the sky is just your starting point - you go beyond normal medical tests that med lab people may be able to do,into manipulating organisms and harnessing the beneficial ones. As a microbiologist, you know exactly why a particular microbe is resistant to a particular drug, and what you can do about it. Many microbiologists i know do freelance researches for companies and business owners who need them to test the effect of particular chemicals on the natural environment - and they get paid handsomely for that. This is just the tip. As a microbiologist, you're capable of designing better machines or models to do works. When you talk about green energy that the world is currently hyping about, microbiology stands shoulder high amongst with just a few other science courses. For you to be relevant in microbiology like i stated earlier, you must first of all be good at microbiology; you should understand the course very well. Even as Nigeria is facing serious pollution due to oil spillages and the rest,a microbiologist can easily sort it out and restore the place to it's natural condition before the pollution. |
I see a lot of people are disillusioned about Microbiology. Infact, many people don't know why they studied Microbiology or what it even means to be a microbiologist. Let me briefly open your eyes. As a microbiologist, you're first of all, trained to be independent. You must be able to carry out researches with little or no supervision. Even if you don't get a paid job, there are so many things you can do as a microbiologist. For examples, you can culture helpful microbes, package them and sell to organic farmers and many others who need them; you can develop new antibiotics and other chemicals; you can develop biosurfactants that are highly needed by many industries; you can develop biofuels and help the energy situation of the country; you can bioengineer new organisms to develop better products... The list is endless. Microbiology is one of the best science courses out there, and it cuts across both biological and physical science. For you to find your feet in microbiology as a career, you must first of all be good at it. |
What an irony... You accused someone of stealing money and you're asked to give him more money... Hmmm. Buhari should be very very careful. |
blueAgent:Dude,i must say that you're a perfect candidate for western propaganda. Education/ knowledge is a continuum; new things are largely developed from existing ones. Those Nigerians mentioned by the Op like Philip Emeagwali and the rest developed new things. That's why they're globally recognized. How about others who excel in sports and music internationally,is that not something to be proud of? If you are a Nigerian, don't let them deceive you into thinking that you're inferior or disadvantaged. |
blackpanda:Guy,what kind of obsession is this? Must you always blame GEJ for everything even when he's no longer the president? Eh? I'm beginning to think that nature is probably punishing you guys with this extreme kind of obsession. |
One serious challenge most Africans, especially Nigerians have is inability to think beyond their present stomach. We observe daily how this present government keeps on flouting and eroding all the tenets of democracy, yet some people openly support it. PDP has complained now and some people will castigate and insult them. Good. When it affects you directly, don't come on this forum and start whining. |
PassingShot:You guys are just impossible... What do you gain by lying so unashamedly? "PMB has largely restored hope in our elections as votes now count now more than any time in our history" - really? Hmmm. We just dey watch una... |
Guy,people just dey laff you but you no know... You're making Biafra more popular. Keep it up. |
OP,no worry, when that small change wey you win for betting finish and the weed you smoke clear from your eyes,na that time you go face reality. |
Very very cheap lies... |
TOPCRUISE:chai... Dude you funny o. |
tuale4u:Let me get this straight: are you saying that Adams is doing well presently as the governor of Edo state? How would you rate his performance thus far (in Nigerian standard, obviously)? Do you think he's one of the best 10 governors in Nigeria? |
If Buhari and APC knew things were going to get worse under them, why then did they contest? We warned Nigerians but they didn't listen. We reminded them that Buhari had not acheived any particular meaningful thing since after his stint as head of state, and they claimed it was because he's honest... Now look at it now. See where it has landed Nigerians now. Where are all those sycophants that were forming i-too-know on Nl during the election period? This goes to show that some people are actually dumb but think themselves wise. |
Edo people should be wise. If they happen to return APC,they'll forever have themselves to blame. Adams has not done anything tangible for Edo people, and has only shown tha he is good at playing divisive opposition. If your argument is that PDP didn't do any better when they were in-charge in Edo,this an opportunity to let them correct themselves and for you to prove that the power to elect and remove lie in your hands. Don't let a stooge of Adams come in and continue with the status quo. A word is enough...( you know the rest). |
Buhari and Kemi are incompetent and ignorant. I blame people who voted in Buhari to lead a complex nation as Nigeria. May their conscience continue to flog them daily until they learn. |
Enuguboy4nsk:If you like, speak Igbo from now till yesterday, you are not Igbo and can never be Igbo. |
ChetaNwaeze:stop this rubbish and use your head. Who told you the OP is Igbo? One random ignorant frustrated person will come online and say rubbish and you'll immediately pick up arms against your own brothers? Use your head. Modified: i thought as much... You couldn't have been Igbo. What do you gain by playing mischief always? What kind of inferiority complex and insecurity will make a full grown man try to pitch two brothers against each other? Tomorrow now if they call you cowards and backstabbers, you'll start foaming in the mouth. |
OP,the summary of all these is that Buhari doesn't know and he surrounded himself with people who don't know too... |
As brilliant and humble as ever; no unnecessary airs around her, while oozing out confidence and intelligence. There's just something about most of GEJ's ministers... No wonder they keep on getting international recognition and responsibilities. I know some of Buhari's chewing-gum ministers would have had their ears glued to the tv waiting for her to drop any detail on how to salvage the receding economy... sorry guys, nothing for you. |
rhymaster:Your hypocrisy and stupi*dity stinks... So because of a few people on this thread, you now made a foo*lish general statement about a whole ethnic group of millions of people? By the way,if some Igbos are dissatisfied with one of their own,how is that your business? You and your people bash Fayose on this forum daily yet,you smel*ly hypocrit don't see anything wrong with that. |
Some folks will say if given the opportunity, they would still vote Buhari instead of GEJ,and that GEJ would not have done any better than Buhari presently. I look at such people and laugh at their huge capacity for foolery. How do you know GEJ wouldn't have done better than Buhari since the nation was aleast 100x better during GEJ's tenure than it is now? That is what i call self-conceited stupidity. Such folks are nothing but dumbos who will only learn the hard way. |
Nigerians, behold your leaders you voted in making merry and having fun while the country is in recession. |
Lol... Funny country full of dramas. No doubt the other group was initiated to cause division and uncordination in the whole BBOG stuff in order for the BBOG to be proscribed by the FG. Interesting. Oby was warned, but she was way too deep with her head up her shi*t hole in self righteousness to heed to sane advice. We're all watching to see how the whole drama will end and how Oby will finally shamefully capitulate. |
