Are Nigerian Muslims different from these ones? Do they practice a different type of Islam or the same? Has there been any Muslim-related violence in Nigeria similar to this? Can other Muslim fanatics and extremists become more emboldened to carry out more violent attacks on people of other Religions(especially Christians) if a government is sympathetic and biased to them? Is there a subtle agenda to ''Islamize'' the country by violence, favourable policies and intimidation? Will the ones who refuse to be ''Islamized'' only be used as vassals who have no say in the country, while ''they'' run and control the country? Lastly, does this kind of action in Pakistan and other violent acts and injustice perpetrated by muslims against non-muslims(especially Christians) encourage more of such acts by Muslims in other places? |
Whosoever says that Religion is not an important factor to be considered in a nation's politics in these days is just living in a fool's paradise. All over the world, with the current happenings, people and governments are realizing the dangers of having Religion extremists and fanatics in positions of authority. No matter how it is twisted with logic and ''sophistication'',Religion is one of the things that defines one's character, and will go a long way in affecting one's policies. That said,if any body/party is touted as being a fanatic or extremist, particularly,in a nation such as Nigeria, then the person/party should never be allowed to hold any key position of Authority. So many Nigerians desire a change in the country-positively,but APC so far has not shown that they are the needed alternative. Even the seemingly strongest supporters of GEJ,the S/E people,SS would gladly vote for the opposition if only they(the opposition) would show that they are the better alternative. The ball lies in the court of the opposition. |
You insult the person of GEJ and his office, you call him corrupt, you say he is dull and dumb, you never see anything good in his policies, yet you use him to endorse Buhari... Who is foöling who? |
I'm so short of words.... Such courage, such kindness;even in the face of Imminent death. May her death never be in vain... May it serve as a begining for the emancipation of Iranian women and other women all over the world. R.I.P |
oduastates:weldone bro...you conveniently shifted the blame and responsibility from Oshiomole to the protesters themselves and the Federal government. Smart move. |
Hehehehe... |
This should be on front page...Don't you think? |
BOAR:you schmuck, what will you do if GEJ returns to office come 2015? You'll go hang yourself or change moniker after all these insults on a whole tribe.... |
These people just keep on making Buhari look worse than he actually is. The last person i would listen to when it comes to corruption issues is this thug- Dino. When corrupt people proclaim Buhari as not-corrupt,how do they expect us to believe? |
This is the very height of wickedness! How could a governor spend over 2million on a bed when there are people clamouring for just a bag of rice within the state because of poverty....And yet, some dofos have the audacity to defend him while criticizing the FG in one breath! Tufiakwa! |
maestroferddi:My Brother, good question. Instead of them to ask Amaechi what he has done for them with all the allocations he has been collecting, they're busy attacking GEJ. With all these projects listed here,if indeed they're verifiable, then i think the FG has tried, considering the kind of hostility and insults Amaechi has showered on the FG and GEJ. |
It's quite shameful that the APC supporters chose to overlook the stinking rot of Fayemi's government- to the extent that the great people of Ekiti state are being labeled ''hungry'',instead they threw all their weights on criticizing and insulting the presidency. The truth is gradually coming out... |
May this kind of hate-filled thread never make front page. To think that one individual could possess so much hatred and insecurities....na wao! |
To think that some people will still be supporting and condoning this man while criticizing and insulting GEJ is simply beyond me. |
OP, i totally agree with you. You just have to give it to him. He's in another class and distinction compared to his colleagues. The guy's lyrics is almost unexplainable, and he's definitely way up there with the greatest lyricists in the world. And to think he ''broke''away from his brothers influence says positively about his confidence in his ability as a lyricist. |
manuelzz:And what makes him one of the greatest rappers to have graced this earth? You guys are just funny with the way you exaggerate and over-hype people. Even Jay-z himself would be shocked. The dude is just an average rapper, nothing particularly special.... Is he better than Eminem,Ludacris,Andre 2000,Nas,Kanye West, even Sarkodie, and Manifest, and a whole lot other rappers? Personally,i'd choose Rick Ross in any ''feature'' song over Jay-z. |
So much insecurity and violence in this country... It's a pity that people don't put much value again to human lives... Atimes i just wonder: what if you murder someone;cut short his/destiny,aspirations,plans,and at the end when you die and meet him in the other realm, how would you look at the person? What explanations would you give? This life is more than physical. R.I.P to her. |
Class matters alot in relationships, don't be foöled to think otherwise. There are somethings that just can't be. For instance, you don't expect the prince of England to stoop low as to marry a lowly peasant girl; they may date and all that, but when it comes to the real things that count like having a family together, there the big problem lies with all the attending pressures from families, friends and others. When you experience relationships ,and mature more in them, you will understand that not all relationships are meant to be,no matter how beautiful or handsome the person might be. And you would be grateful you didn't go into some relationships. |
Hmmmm...what's even happening in this country? Why can't people live and let live? What are they fighting and killing people for? Religion? Wealth/money? When they're not even 100% sure where they will go to after death. I think there should be a national emergency meeting as a matter of urgency, involving all elites and stake holders from different zones and different political parties. And if these people (the ones sponsoring these terrors, and other ''aggrieved persons) can not be persuaded to restrain themselves, then they should divide the country and let everyone have peace. This is democracy, and GEJ is the elected president. All people should respect that for the interest of peace. Nobody has the monopoly of violence. |
Very good initiative. I've said it before, with positive consistency,Anambra state might become one of the greatest states in the whole of Africa in just a few years to come. The groundworks are already being laid. |
Most Ladies like guys who are Jealous...If You're not the jealous type, then they'll say ''He's not man enough''. |
Is it surprising that Bakassi was ceded to Cameroon just like that? It's only in Nigeria that this sort of thing happens. Other smaller Nations would have gone to war for a matter like this. This is a big shame to Obj and every single Nigerian. Shame! |
This Man- Mr Entwistle, is a first class Amebo and spy. He probably heard a good number of Ebola patients were recovering, and he went there to snoop around, hoping to find out what they were treated with and then report to USA. |
These demands are ''imeminious''-as my aged biology teacher would say(whatever that means). What the hell are our Doctors smoking in them medical schools?? Where the hell do they think they are?? USA or the UK? How dare them try to dictate who will be a consultant or not? They better wake up from their slumber and realize they're in Nigeria or they lose their Jobs. Shikena. |
Fashola,as far as i'm concerned,is one of the best performing and proactive Governors we have in the country. Only if he could shake off the hold of Tinubu, maybe he would have done much more....But again, which Governor in the country doesn't have such holds? |
padeolu: If wishes were horses... Being accommodating doesn't imply stup.idity, neither does it make one a coward. But trust me, when the time is right, you flat headed folks will pack your so called china-made investments and return to your eroded landlocked savanna land to go sell okirika and panla. I wonder why y'll are quick to forget what happened between 1967 and 1970..My friend, what is it that happened btw 1967 and 1970 that Igbos shouldn't forget? Did you fight the war? Did even any of your parents fight the war? Even now it's been many years since the war,are you richer or more comfortable than any random 5 Igbos around you? Stay there and be blowing grammar over the internet while the Igbos in lagos get to work. |
This APC Man(whatever his name is),so he feels Igbos can only Achieve a presidential dream by dumping GEJ and probably aligning with APC? ''By spreading their nets, hoping it would land them a lone fish''? As they were doing before and having the same results- no president of Igbo extraction and under performance in the S.East by previous governments? I don't think this man has the good of the Igbos at heart... Or maybe again,i didn't understand him well. |
iamord: Its funny people think other planets are empty and just for decoration.. There wwas a race o n this earth far more advanced that have either been wiped out or moved to another plantery system.. But. Some still leave here..in the water and underground.. But people tend to mistake them with demons. You're correct,my broda...most people find it difficult to accept informations that are opposed to their already pre-formed inherent belief. They see and hear unexplainable 'unnatural' phenomenon almost frequently, yet they refuse to ask questions and research and study. By this, they limit the creator, and their brains. |
This is a very wrong way to report a news. Why the Religion angle to it? If the person was a non muslim, would they have gone the length of finding out her Religious affiliation and attaching it to the report? This can only sensationalize, and incite people unnecessarily. R.I.P to her. |
You see Boko Haram, some of the Indigenes of Borno, and the Chadian Government? They're all linked together. |
