diegwu01:Bro,there's nothing like "core" Igbo. Igbo is Igbo whether you're in Kafanchan,Kuvuki or Abakaliki. This is why people who bear Igbo names should be very mindful of their actions. |
YungMillionaire:Mr Man,there should be a limit to these kind of things. Don't come here and start defaming someone's name who's not mentioned in this. Why mentioning E-money? Mind what you say on the internet. Be properly guided. |
kevinberry:Keep it up. Don't stop. Keep on promoting tribalism with your comments just to get "likes" and tomorrow when you find yourself amongst the same Igbos you condemn, you'll expect to be treated fairly. |
legendte:I implore you to stop responding to that guy and explaining to him what transpired. He can read,so let him read and know what happened. He and people like him are only stoking the embers of chaos. He's only interested in causing more trouble and unrest in SE and then you'll see him disappear. I know his type well - such fowl reasoning. |
AlphaCentauri:Igbos don't really give a hoot about being light-skinned or not. To them,it's something that is normal - light-skin tone has been with them as far back as anyone can remember. Even during the slavery (you can search this yourself ),Igbos were generally distinguished from other africans with their lighter skin tone. The internet is replete with information about the light skin tone of Igbos. Infact,at the risk of making a blanket statement, about more than half of every Igbo couple will give birth to a light-skinned baby. It is that common. As for the pix by the OP of Igbos in the 1930s: Don't be deceived into thinking that just because a people had only a simple basic covering on,then it means they were bush undeveloped people. That's not true. Even before the colonial white men came,Igbos had a well established societal system. You can research about the Nri kingdom, the Igbo Ukwu artifacts that were unearthed and probably dated back to as far back as anyone can imagine. Surely, people who were capable of such feats then couldn't be called "bush/undeveloped",could they? In fact, the colonial whites recorded that when they came to the SE,Igbos were not even intimidated by them; rather, the Igbos were looking at them amusingly - you know, how you'd look at something you consider inferior to you. Research on these things - even about your own people. Many parts of Africa weren't really "jungle" before the colonials came like they'd want you to believe. They only had their own unique ways of doing things. |
nicedas:Guy you call 14 fed universities that have generated thousands of employment and education opportunities for people "14 mini secondary schools"? Honestly, you can't be helped. |
Without mincing words,Buhari will be remembered as the worst democratic president this country has ever elected. The most annoying part of the whole thing is that he doesn't seem to care - I mean, given his age and probably feeling that this is his last major political outing in Nigeria. Nigerians made a huge mistake so far in electing Buhari. If APC had fielded in another candidate rather than Buhari, maybe, just maybe,we wouldn't be were we are right now wailing all over the place. |
It's only in Nigeria that you see learned men dropping heavy grammars and twisting the law just to justify injustice. I remember the kind of big grammars these guys spoke to justify the inability of Buhari to present his certificate and participate in the election debate. Now they've suddenly woken up. This is just the beginning - next time,if a candidate refuses to participate in the normal process, you collectively raise eyebrows. |
I usually stop reading posts like yours the moment I see "if given the opportunity again you'd still vote against GEJ". It simply shows you've not truly repented and as such you deserve every bad thing you're getting from this present government because of your mistake,or should I say ITK ( I too know). When people were telling folks like you the effects of voting for Buhari, you were busy forming online political and economic guru and online warrior - abusing anybody that dared speak against APC and Buhari - and chanting "Sai Buhari" everywhere. Now see where it has led you. I'll tell you something: you have to make amends for all the indirect sufferings ( and probably death) you've caused to people by that your action of voting for Buhari. And in subsequent elections, accept that you don't know it all;save your conscience from the burden of leading people into the worst kind of situations. |
obowunmi:HPV can cause genital warts in men and in rare cases, can cause penile or anal cancers in men. However, most times, the HPV can clear off without causing serious health issues in men. About slightly more than half of men who are sexually active may actually have the HPV even without knowing it. Condom reduces the risk of HPV by about 70%;but the best option is abstinence. Also limiting the number of sexual partners also reduces the risk. There are types of HPV which can cause cancer and the ones which do not cause cancer and may only cause warts. The ones that cause warts can be treated with prescription creams or drugs or removed surgically;while the cancerous ones are usually removed by radiation or chemorerapy depending on the stage of infection. But usually, for ones that present only warts, doctors may advice that you don't start receiving treatments at the on set, until all the symptoms appear. So HPV is not a death sentence in men. And it is not necessarily a life-time infection. |
Op,you're on the right path to redemption, but still have a long way to go.
Ask your self this question:
If GEJ and Buhari were the only people contesting, who would I vote for?
Don't hurry to answer the question...but be sure you get the answer before 2019. |
Ok |
Mylove55:See as e dey easy for you to type - execute them - as if you're talking about animals here. Not even minding if they actually deserve to be executed. Continue... |
DIVINE78:What is even the problem with people like you? Must you always mention Igbos in every of your dilemma? This is how you keep on playing the Ostrich until it gets to your doorstep. |
What sort of hopeless government is this? Even if you can't improve on the gains of previous administration, why can't you atleast maintain the staus quo? How could millions of educated Nigerians allow themselves to be deceived into this kind of mess? Shame! Shame on all of them! Big shame to the ones that came here online claiming economic and political gurus and deceived others into this mess. Big shame on all those "Sai Baba!!"chanters who have suddenly disappeared! |
Abagworo:To what aim exactly? To destabilize his own government? I think you guys should be mindful of the kind of allegations you make against someone. Some actions have a awy of coming back to bite someone's behind. |
I'm almost 100% certain that this APC government will be massively booted out come 2019 except if they rig ( almost certain they'll attempt to rig). My only problem is just the 4 years Nigerians would have wasted during this government. |
Hian! The kind of news coming out from SW these days ehh...
Hmmm |
These guys will go to any length to tarnish the good name of GEJ and taint his image. Why? What are they scared of? Well, the more they hate him and try to tarnish his image, the more people love him. |
How the hell did we even get ourselves in this kind of mess called APC? I strongly believe Nigerians were bewitched for them to vote in this party. How can a sane person make this kind of statement after criticizing the previous government? Abraham! So why the hell did you accept to be the minister? Why don't you resign and let someone who can guarantee power improvement take over? Chai... Nigeria is indeed in a deep mess with this party. |
aresa:I expected you to provide concrete prove of any person associated with GEJ that has been convicted for corruption and all you did was to regurgitate the same old lies the government of the day has been feeding people with. If you claim that GEJ and Okonjo were corrupt, why is it then so difficult for the present government to prosecute them? Besides, how about Amaechi and his cronies? Oh,they were all wrongly accused by PDP,not so? And maybe you didn't notice, but most of the projects you listed above that Buhari is presently working on are infact, projects initiated by either GEJ or other previous governments. And about routing out ghostworkers, many other governments in Nigeria did same too. https://www.nairaland.com/3187482/jonathan-saved-170billion-naira-weeding https://www.naij.com/361659-7-undeniable-ways-president-jonathan-fought-corruption.html http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/06/except-buhari-every-nigerian-worker-can-ghost/ So it's not what you should be jumpy about. If Buhari knew that he couldn't help better the country,or that thngs will be worse than he met them and couldn't handle them, why did he bother contesting at all? . |
aresa:Sorry o... I think I overestimated you. My bad. |
rlauncher:Are you just arguing for the sake of making argument or what? Go through my comment and point out where I mentioned Biafra. And what's even with this your unhealthy obsession on Biafra? Are you saying that there are no ethnic Igbos in Rivers or what? Or that they immigrated from somewhere else, displaced the indigenes there, forced them to change their surnames, renamed the names of their towns and also forced them to start speaking Igbo language? Dude, simply get with the program - Igbos don't have time for this your " our oyel" mantra, neither are other progressive-thinking people. The world is talking about how to mitigate the effect of fossil fuel on global climate, and you're here whining over oil that might become totally irrelevant in some years to come. Smh... |
aresa:Mr man,you should have noticed that people are tired of all these your drivels. I mean, the reality on ground speaks out loud enough. In all these your allegations, what has stopped the government from coming after Okonjo or GEJ? How many people associated with GEJ have been convicted for corruption? Meanwhile, what happened to the likes of Amaechi and co? No doubt they are saints according to your own judgement, right? When you say you're fighting corruption ansd things are very much worse than they were during the so-called period of corruption, then a lot questions arise. Atleast, simple logic should tell you that peoples' lives should improve if you're fighting corruption since the common wealth of the nation should now normally go around for all to benefit equally; but the reverse is the case in the present scenario. Dude,It's obvious majority of Nigerians have woken up from their slumber and have now acknowledged their collective mistake - no matter how much you try to malign or castigate GEJ or Okonjo. |
bokohalal:For what exactly? Can you tell me with facts? And why do those serious countries keep welcoming him to their countries? I await your response please. |
I keep on wondering where all those who were screaming "Sai Buhari" all over the place are now. Have they all disappeared and changed monikers? |
Gej - Nigeria wasn't yet mature for your style of presidency, and Nigerians are still paying dearly for that immaturity. I won't be surprised if another country invites you to be her president. Safe trip gentleman. |
rlauncher:Guy stop this bul*shit; it's becoming stale and very childish. This kind of thread has been rehashed on this forum many times. Even people who have the highest oil deposits have not really enjoyed for one day - many of those states owe their staff salaries or allowances of many months, and those states are just average in terms of development compared to other non oil-producing states, and you're here throwing tantrums. If you like, deny the whole ethnic Igbos of their ehnicity, when it gets down to what really matters, everyone knows where he or she belongs and other tribes know who you are no matter how much you try to scream otherwise. |
Rexnegro:I read comments like yours and that of the person you quoted and I shake my head in pity for you and your likes. It's unfortunate you guys have still not learnt how these things work - how life works. I'll give some instances: (1). You remember some years back when Boko haram was targeting mainly Christians in the north? You recall how a lot of northerners were playing politics with it and even indirectly supporting them? Not until Boko Haram started attacking northern muslims that northern elites became worried and started speaking out. (2) Same thing with the Fulani herdsmen menace. it has now started affecting northern states,so northerners are now speaking out loud against it. (3) same thing with Niger delta militancy. The Southwest people were making derogatory remarks such as yours and that of the person you quoted until it came calling at their door steps, and they now started running helter skelter.. (4) Do you also remember the Linda Ikeji/Whizkid saga? You remember how a lot of people were all over the place abusing Linda even when it was very obvious Whizkid went to the extreme by abusing her verbally, threatening to beat her up,thereby passing a message to people that it's ok to abuse women? What happened then? A couple of days later,Tbills took to the media and publicly insulted and denigrated Tiwa, his wife. (5) You recall how some people were insulting Onyeka Onwenu and Igbos in general after she complained that she was removed because of her ethnicity? Well, few days later,a southwesterner ( I think) was also removed and he/she came out and started complaining bitterly the same thing Onyeka Onwenu said. I can go on and on.. But all I'm trying to say is: what is bad is bad. Rid yourself of tribalism when judging what is wrong or right. It may be the Igbos today protesting against the killings of their people, tomorrow might be another tribe. |
Can the MOD in-charge please take down this thread. What sort of rubbish is this? How can you open a thread and start casting aspersions on someone simply because he doesn't share the same view with you? Where is your proof? If he has committed any crime, what stops you from reporting it to the police and let the law take its course? This is totally wrong. Cc Seun |
I thought the OP said two nominees faulted? How about the second person? Why name the one and leave out the other,or is there something I'm missing here? |
Babalegba:Guy just shut your smelli*g trap. You didn't know when your zombeis*m led you to start defending Buhari even though no one here mentioned his name. Yet again, you're bringing in GEJ when the person you quoted never in anyway insinuated that GEJ should be brought back. Your problem is guilty conscience, and extreme case of Zombei*sm. |

Oga E-money's boys. These ones were caught
