JEREMIAH means who will go for me? Igbo says 'je re m ya' meaning Go for me. ISAIAH means he has answered. Igbo says I za ya meaning you have answered him or her. I can write a whole book on that. Nothing good ever come out of Ibos or igbos (indian hemps).........they are the genesis of nigeria problem. After independence, there are 3 regions with everyone trying to develop their origins but these SOGs won't stay in their region and develop it but to come to other peoples' region and want to dominate them from the fact that they want to be relevant. Another SOG in person of Ironsi who suppose to rectify things came into power and decided to do like a typical SOG but we all know how his story ended, he was killed like a fowl. After that period they have been suffering since and they will suffer till thy kingdom come. starting with pogrom where hausas kill them like cockroaches (which they are) to the mutilation they received in the hands of Nigerian army during the civil war (Anya miri). Their suffering in the civil war is as a result of one of them (a typical SOG) known as Agbari Ojukwu (big pot head) and I don't pity them at all. After the civil war, are they not supposed to have learnt from their past mistakes but never these SOGs will never learn. Another SOG who is learned and had the privilege to study outside the forbidden land in person of Achebe (we'll do it like that) held grudges and didn't let go of the past. We all know how is story ended he died a very sad man as a result of bomb blast that happened thousands of mile away from where he was.

Now tell me, is there one single sane person among them. Kiss and Make up with SOGs God forbid! They grow hatred in their mind and they will all die sorrowfully because they will never get to where Yorubas are because Origin can never be changed. Sons of the soil is different from SOGs

He had the tool and potential to make people listen to him but he didn't use that tool and potential for nothing but his own literary awards and nothing really educating per se. Except you want to call his style of writing educating. I call his style of writing political and not something that people across the board can really read when they seek guidance in anything.

All the "African" forum he attended were all just noise making forums who just sit and analyze what Africa should be without them following through their conclusions and ensuring that they capture the mind of corrupt African government for a change.

But still Achebe was a creative writer. But to put it beyond that to try and mortally immortalize him as a hero of Africans is just really sentimental. Achebe has contributed nothing to African development, people and spirit.

If we allow Achebe be called a hero, we are leaving space for people like baba suwe and other entertainers to be called Heros. King Sunny Ade as talented as he is in his work, is just a beauty of Africa not an African hero or active contributor to African development.

Achebe is just one of many Africa talents that stood above his peers in his work. Let's not get too sentimental and try to give undue hero worship to him, instead, recognize the creativity of his work which is what his fame is still based not contribution to African people's development. Thanks
