Hello Michlins, would you consider 3ft foundation enough for a 15ft tank stand? 18ft steel pipe tank stand in total ; 3ft in the ground and 15ft above ground. 2 1500 litres GP tank at the top and 1 1500litre GP tank at the middle. For a bungalow.

please don't use pipe.

Rather use 4 by 2 H channel. It's stronger and more durable and even less expensive

Currently in Enugu State to do another one

The debt of the foundation is 4ft. The foundation rods also are 4ft.

What happens is that I do concrete floor (blinding) of at least 8" then drop the rods inside and start pouring the concrete.

Later, I will do a wall using planks around the holes which will compensate for the 8" that went into the floor

Travelled to Enugu yesterday for the tank stand job. The materials were delivered to site this morning.

Dug the foundation and will move forward to casting it tomorrow

Got a quote of almost 550k for an 18ft tank stand, for a bungalow, in the south east this appears outrageous. abeg what is the average quotes, for a tank stand using 4inch pipe or 4-3/8'' I frame

the depth increases as the height increases. Another thing to consider is the soil of the site

Even as we are concluding this decking stage, we have been buying up materials for the next stage which is the upper floor wall partitioning. We will start offloading blocks, sand, cement and rods as from tomorrow or next. We might start forming the walls on the completed sections as from Friday this week.

So a few years ago we bought a 4 bedroom bungalow for my mother in law in ibadan, well mama just went home to be with the Lord. Now we have to decide what to do with the house. First option is to sell it (my option) second option, convert it to 2-2bedroom apartments and rent it out. (Wifey is from ibadan) ;Dso option 2 is it! Next, we have to get a moderate contractor for the job. Small job, if u are good; HONEST, GOOD & MODERATE, let me know.
