spyder880: The previous team became money drunk. Some people dont know how to manage success. They got 3 straight jobs from me and it got into their heads, they got sloppy, truancy, absenteeism, delays and bad jobs took over. So I had to move them off my projects.
GOALS
Some people will be paid 30,000 and they will start feeling fly. I usually ask them, someone who paid you the money wey dey enter your head like this. Have you asked yourself how much him get remain.
Why can't people stay focused and grind harder than ever
spyder880: That's my new plastering team for 2022. Expect a lot of improvements in our finish as from now. I have another job for them after this house.
Focusmind: Honestly, I don't believe in using many windows as a form of energy savings in Nigeria with our dirty environment and poor air quality. For me, the windows in the house may be small in number but big in sizes, just for beauty and aesthetics.
For quantifiable energy savings, I use solar as my energy source now. I only switch to the mains on cloudy weather. But since December last year and now, with the intense sunlight and harmattan, my solar has been my source of power.
So, my prepaid meter has remained un-recharged for the past three months with good savings in energy cost. Ensure you have energy efficient deep freezer and ACs. The window AC may be out of fashion but a new 1hp window AC runs well with solar, lesser power demanding than split unit. My reason for having 1hp window AC for the rooms.
how big is your home and what's the cost of setting up the solar system
viperVIP: NO sir. I didn't get value for money, he can't even do a good job without supervision and with supervision, we'll have to quarrel to achieve what I want. I'm only hoping he blends with me so I can use him for future projects cos there are lots of asshole artisans out there which I wouldn't want to start a new experience with another bad guy.
ChybuzzDD: Only God knows why those artisans are like that.
goals are what differs you from the next person. While some people are ready for trouble, some others are not. There are people who just wants to make this money and enjoy life without hassles from anyone. Others just want to make money irrespective of the consequences.
Another thing is that some clients want it cheaper and thereby running into the hands of those that will wahala you. Someone who is good at what he or she does will charge you higher than normal because you're not just paying for the service he's giving you, you're also paying for his experience, peace of mind he's also going to give you. You're also paying for the time he's going to save you from running from pillar to post chasing your vendor
Elsueno: I am very sure you, michlins & Hellvictorinho3 are from the same part of the country. Yes, 9ja police get them own problems, but Evans na bonifide kidnapper even his family are aware of this fact, I just don't know why u & ur likes are swinging innocence. if this man is mistakenly released, those who testified against him won't go free. I just hope u guys are ready to have that blood on ur hands.
I don't even understand why this Evans and wadume are even still alive sef
tell your police and prosecuting attorney to prove their case beyond doubt. If not, whatever happens to those that testified is not my problem.
This is exactly why we can't win the war against corruption. Corrupt people will exploit the weakness of the prosecutors and walk free. Look at Orji Kalu for example. See how he made it free. How about Maina. Police must begin to recruit competent people and public attorneys will go for people with caliber.
It's not always when the president is asked to defend his waec certificate that fifteen SAN will come from public defender's office
This pattern of torturing and condemning instead of asking the right questions can make you lie against yourself....... how many people really know what an evidence is on Nairaland?? Let alone knowing how to get it?
Is it by asking stupid questions?
emotional judge will still rule against him. If he can get a very good lawyer, that case is going to be thrown out
That's the sensible thing to do. But we are more emotional than logical. Prove the case against Evans and hang him.
/
we don't do that here. Nigerians are just too unreasonable. Everything is viewed via emotional prism. You can't coerce confession using torture out of someone and expect it to stand in court.
With enough torture, someone will deny his name so that's why it's not a reliable source of conviction
viperVIP: Good day nairalander, please I have a building project that is at the stage of fence plastering now. I believe I have overpaid at few stages of the project but then I learnt my lessons already by making sure I get a second opinion after receiving a quote from the Artisan. The fence covers 2 plots of land measuring 35m X 30m, and the height is about 2m with Capping which they call "coping". Bricklayer bills #280,000 for workmanship, I felt this is too much, tho I paid #420,000 to plaster this 2bedroom house seated on it with excuses from him that the previous bricklayer did a bad job with the block laying though obvious, so he's going to do "amisa" that is filling and filling just to get it straightened out, even though we eventually fought over it cos he tried to cut corners by wanting to skip it but then I knew I overpaid.
So I don't want that repeating itself now, that's how I landed here please.
let me ask,in the instances you overpaid do you get exactly what you want? Like do they deliver value for money
Why I'm asking you is because there are very few artisans out there who will do your job without hassles. What clients do recently is to stick to a particular artisan who delivers and then recruit more through him. You don't want the wahala of artisans trust me
sonnie10: @Michlins between this and wrought iron which would you say is more weather resistant for outside balcony rails?
wrought iron. This is basically 2mm pan cut with laser.
Meanwhile wrought iron rods are at least 14mm thick.
mufutau55: Ok Thanks. Some drunken Contractor's driver damaged one of my building's gate and I have been meaning to replace it, also fixed but not to my quality. Still keeping you in mind Sir. Thanks.
Hajji M.
I hope to do business with you soon
modified here's the picture of the gate at the end of today
mufutau55: What is the difference in quality/cost if this is for kobo-kobo residential house, not commercial house?
Hajji M.
the difference is basically on the quality of materials to be used. 2.5mm pan is stronger and better but in my opinion, it's not needed. 2mm will do just a fine job.
nairalee: He was the first to procure and distribute more than 30,000 computers to secondary schools, including 22,500 from HP.
He provided More than 700 buses were provided to secondary schools in the State.
He sunk Boreholes in schools all over the State.
Numerous classrooms were built in all the 177 communities of the State.
As part of the efforts to turn around the economy of the State, a number of companies were attracted to build their facilities in the Anambra State. A case in point is SABMiller, the 2nd largest brewery in the world, which built their first Green Field facility in the State, which is today one of the most successful facilities they operate globally.
He funded the transformation of -:
a: Iyienu Hospital, Ogidi; b: Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Ihiala; c: St Charles Borromeo Hospital, Onitsha; d: Holy Rosary Hospital, Waterside, Onitsha; and e: St. Joseph Hospital, Adazi-Nnukwu. His Government also built the Joseph Nwilo Heart Centre in St. Joseph, Adazi-Nnukwu, where heart operations are now being performed
he rebuilt my primary school which was at the verge of collapse. He constructed roads which opened up lots of businesses and towns in Anambra. You can live in Awka and work in Nnewi because of the good roads.
In terms of security,he ended the menace of kidnap for ransom. Something Kaduna and Kastina states don't know what to do about.
NGpatriot: Hundreds of thousands of jobs he created are also monopolies too?
At least millions of Nigerians are putting food on the table with his money, unlike looting and stealing Peter Obi aka Oga Pandora who parked his tax-dodging millions of dollars in secrete bank accounts with mansions all over the world instead of investing even in his own state to create jobs like Dangote.
How I wish we have many Dangote in Nigeria and less greedy cheats and money-hungry clowns like Him Tu Lie.
this guy Peter Obi is giving you sleepless nights. We're talking about the game changing efforts of Dangote and you brought Peter Obi into the discussion. Are you normal?
Anyways, Dangote keeps setting the pace. I wish we have about hundred of his kind in Nigeria,we would have gotten far in industrialization
