Ogun state camp is such a nice camp, its more or else like an hotel. U enjoy everything u want without stress, water, maami resources and lots more. But ensure u buy all ur kit items, white snickers, chase deer tops and ur shorts b4 u come to camp as all these are damn expensive @ camp.

How easy is it to get a private uni for ppa? What's dia remunerations like n can u link me with any of ur guys doing that presently?

U all are welcome to d gateway state.
I'm batch b, hoping to pass out in two months, by God's grace (can't wait).
Just pray for ur posting after camp.. Some get nice places while others don't. I, for one, didn't get a nice place but I'm consoled with the fact that it's not too far from home (Ogijo to Ikorodu @least with #250 I can travel home)..
Just put everything in prayers nd hope for the best.. I'll advice u not to try to influence ur posting, especially if u don't av a strong ally (NYSC Official). Many camp officials will try to extort money from u all in d name of promising u a nice place of primary assignment, but most of dem are scams... Don't fall for it so dat u don't end up regretting when tinz go wrong (I saw many of such cases back den in camp)..
All d best ladies nd gentlemen.. Just be calm, don't play dirty, remember to pray always nd let God have HIS way!!

People said it's beta u enter lagos bus and tell them u r dropping at ogun because the bus to ogun isn't available that much

U'll drop @ "underbridge" @ sagamu. Its b4 ijebu-ode which is jstnext to Lag.

So this house is a lil boring, so I would like to volunteer to start a countdown( unofficially taking over from sleekyonyx-Queen of the general house) from monday for those of us going for stream 2 just to get our minds prepared. That's for those in d state unis. I attended an FG uni n I wonder how they survive ( family n all). Plus they run their research from that paltry sum. My own supervisors do send their samples 2 S. Africa for tests n you can imagine d costs involved.

Can anyone explain these incongrous statements in bold please. A summary of what is claimed is as follows:

1) Trade unions warn against subsidy removal
2) Trade unions state there has never been subsidy

If 2) is true, 1) cannot be true. Both statements are mutually irreconciliable.

An exasperating thing I have noticed about Nigeria is that because corruption is so endemic, any claims about corruption is deemed to be true by a credulous populace even if the claims are patently false and so irrational as to defy common sense.

Thank God I'm not the only one who saw that. I thought I was thinking wrongly.

Elyon is a very nice place, but truth is, you've got to part with your time in order to work there. Cos you'd be working as a either a teaching staff or an administrative assistant, and automatically you've got to be an house master or an house mistress in the hostel. So you know what that means, you hardly have time to your personal life.

As at the time I served, State no longer paid Corps Members that served in Abeokuta. But they pay 5k monthly to those serving in rural area. Well you dont get the money monthly, you get it all at the end of your service year.

I think serving in a Uni is cool, I think polytechnics/Uni pay 5k, and some 10k. Except for private Uni's that pays more. Flexibility of time:quite flexible, tho not as flexible as serving in a public secondary school.


If you wanna have maximum time to yourself, then public/government schools fits.

Finally, how's servinf in a uni different from in a normal ppa/school? As regards remuneration, flexibilty of time etc. Can u help me find out please?
