Demmocrats:

This is the only lady that needs to end up in prison without even trial, one of the most corrupt ladies in Nigeria. Nothing Good has ever come out of the Lady.

Now you'll agree with GEJ that "stealing is not corruption"

Terming such brazenry like this "corruption" only means boring and long drawn out legal theatricals with the party-blinded and incapacitated EFFC that almost always leads nowhere.

Whereas the tout who's accused of "stealing" his oga's goods or friend's phone never gets to have such leeway.

He (tout/thief) gets jailed immediately in rat, mosquito and lice-infested cells, he'd be there till he's charged to court, the petitioner drops charges, case gets resolved or dies.

That in my opinion is the difference between "stealing" and "corruption"

Won't you rather then opine they be accused of stealing. rather than corruption?

This is not to say she's completely guilty (that would have to be proven by a competent judge),
or that she's the only "Thief" in the country. But judgement must start from someone .

Those who think she's being haunted just because she campaigned against the present govt. Shd blame her for also conducting herself wrongly while in office.

When your child behaves in a way that makes an outsider to disrespect / drag you in mud, you'll blame the person quite alright, but that your child won't go scot free either I'm sure.

China will be in jubilation right now if it could succeed at devaluing her currency to the level ours have fallen lately.

But what could've been a blessing if the "Agbayas" in the Country (Military and Civilian) had the foresight to act in favour of posterity is now ruining people's families.

Even at it's currently low rate to the Dollar, the US keeps throwing jibes at Xi Jinping for not allowing market forces dictate the true value of the yuan.

But our lazy forefathers some of whom are still in position today, failed to plan.

And collective amnesia keeps making the populace subservient to this same people who had the chance to better things but decided to turn the nation's economy South.

How really I would've loved a Soludo/ Enwegbara combo in out finance ministry right now but they didn't partake in "the campaign struggle" nor are they from the majority voters.

Will wait to see what Cards Emefiele and our lady from Ogun state will play and how it all turns out.

Your points can't be dismissed,
The fact that GMB himself (according to rumour mills) is planning to put Nigeria into this committee with Saudi (an anti-shiite)'s ally (islamic committe or what have you) and the army's majority being sunni are both tenable positions.

However, (haven't watched the video) that there's evidence zakzaky's boys actually stoked the conflict puts another angle to the situation. You could say the sunnis only exploited the opportunity to visit mayhem on the sect (not sure zakzakhy himself was among the blockaders)

But damton may be privy to information you don't have and might be right too.

Only I don't support his way of calling you out on your "opinion" either.

If you don't consider schooling in Nigeria, then go with Option 1. Invest that money in Real Estate & travel abroad with your husband. I won't suggest setting up a business in Nigeria & not supervising it.

@ OP, you could use your HND knowledge along with some professional advice to seek out high-potential real estate picks. Even if only for buy and hold positions, then go round up your studies abroad.

By the time you're done and back, you'd have something substantial to finance/ start up whatever plans you've decided on by then.

The truth is there is more to life than money but on the other hand life could be more comfortable with money.

Most people will not understand why in the midst of poverty and anguish someone who is supposedly well off is still unhappy and complaining. This life is just once, you don't want to spend the productive and most active stage of your life being unhappy. The problem with being unhappy with your job is that sooner or later it sips into every other aspect of your life, and will ruin it.

I think your friend should talk to a therapist to start with. I am sure when he is through with his sessions he will figure out what exactly the problem is, and if it means making adjustment or changing a job then he should do it. There is no point going to a job you don't like just because of the money, for how long is he going to live like that before he losses his mind?

As going to tell him same. Let the "friend" go see a psychologist.
He's rich enough to have in-depth personal sessions.
I'm sure he'll find a middle ground along the process.

how myopic? Arabic is a language. Everything Arabic isnt Islamic, just the same way every English isnt for a Religion.
Stop the Ignorance.
It means ''Victory is from God''
The inscription from the currencies 'tells' the amount for those that can read in the Language and it isnt even Arabic, its some Transliteration. Just like I could transliterate English to Arabic, I could write Arabic and you'll read it as English and it would be meaningless in that Arabic.
BTW, I also see no reason for that inscription to be in Arabic when English is the Lingua Franca but I'm not sure thats our Army logo

By the way @op the transliteration is NASRUNMINALLAH

It's not a "wailing" thing, the OP was simply asking when in history any majority of nigeria's population agreed that Arabic (even if not islamic) inscriptions should feature in our "National" Army's isignia.

I 'd rather you re-examine why it comes to you as "wailing".

Something I don't understand. A job you did not create, you want to force the owner to keep you against his wish.
A question:
In time past, how much did the company pay retrenched staff? Is this severance package new?
Some staff were pouched from other companies. Like seriously? And you joined them, basking in the excitment of ditching your former employer without knowing all your new employer has to offer you? I blame the employee. He had also treated his former employer unjustly by leaving him when he is most needed.

Bottom line: Nigerians should start thinking of how to create employments and employ people, not clinging to a job created by another man. I would rather getting a paid employment is just to raise a little capital to start up something, not slaving for another till you retire. That way, Nigeria can grow.

So you'll be waiting for OANDO? I see this is the height of bad things, your destiny being on pause mode because of a company. You may wait for eternity because oil price is heading to $2.

I do not support injustice, but I blame people who would want to tell an employer how his company must be run. Go learn how to farm

There are extant laws, that govern retrenchment et. al in Nigeria's business space.
As such, "telling an employer how his company must be run" doesn't figure here.

My take from here is to ensure to read thoroughly and infact have a copy of the signed offer and acceptance letters before resuming at any job.

Such that when the employer tries to play foul like Oando's currently doing, you'll at least have something to fight with.

Common sense is truly not common

Common sense or not, that's why they voted Fayemi out.

The present Ekiti state's inhabitants obviously care more about their stomach than a future "they might not even be around to behold"
They even have a proverb for it and it translates into
"Dried and crusty dog-meat is sweet, but what do we eat while waiting for the fresh-dogmeat (fat and all) to get dried while roasting.

Truth always comes out one way or the other, you can hide it, bound it up, or do anything you want with it, but it always finds a way to rear up its head.
So the truth will always come out.
