Demmocrats: Now you'll agree with GEJ that "stealing is not corruption" Terming such brazenry like this "corruption" only means boring and long drawn out legal theatricals with the party-blinded and incapacitated EFFC that almost always leads nowhere. Whereas the tout who's accused of "stealing" his oga's goods or friend's phone never gets to have such leeway. He (tout/thief) gets jailed immediately in rat, mosquito and lice-infested cells, he'd be there till he's charged to court, the petitioner drops charges, case gets resolved or dies. That in my opinion is the difference between "stealing" and "corruption" Won't you rather then opine they be accused of stealing. rather than corruption? This is not to say she's completely guilty (that would have to be proven by a competent judge), or that she's the only "Thief" in the country. But judgement must start from someone . Those who think she's being haunted just because she campaigned against the present govt. Shd blame her for also conducting herself wrongly while in office. When your child behaves in a way that makes an outsider to disrespect / drag you in mud, you'll blame the person quite alright, but that your child won't go scot free either I'm sure. |

Business / Re: Naira "Strenghtens" To N270/Dollar At Parallel Market by mickey45: 8:25pm On Dec 18, 2015 |
China will be in jubilation right now if it could succeed at devaluing her currency to the level ours have fallen lately. But what could've been a blessing if the "Agbayas" in the Country (Military and Civilian) had the foresight to act in favour of posterity is now ruining people's families. Even at it's currently low rate to the Dollar, the US keeps throwing jibes at Xi Jinping for not allowing market forces dictate the true value of the yuan. But our lazy forefathers some of whom are still in position today, failed to plan. And collective amnesia keeps making the populace subservient to this same people who had the chance to better things but decided to turn the nation's economy South. How really I would've loved a Soludo/ Enwegbara combo in out finance ministry right now but they didn't partake in "the campaign struggle" nor are they from the majority voters. Will wait to see what Cards Emefiele and our lady from Ogun state will play and how it all turns out. |
Politics / Re: Photos From Shiite Protest In Niger State Today by mickey45: 12:05pm On Dec 17, 2015 |
gimakon: Your points can't be dismissed, The fact that GMB himself (according to rumour mills) is planning to put Nigeria into this committee with Saudi (an anti-shiite)'s ally (islamic committe or what have you) and the army's majority being sunni are both tenable positions. However, (haven't watched the video) that there's evidence zakzaky's boys actually stoked the conflict puts another angle to the situation. You could say the sunnis only exploited the opportunity to visit mayhem on the sect (not sure zakzakhy himself was among the blockaders) But damton may be privy to information you don't have and might be right too. Only I don't support his way of calling you out on your "opinion" either. |

Other times you have siblings older than her and if you grew up in a normal conservative family, they don't dare ask you such a favour so you wonder who the .... She thinks she is to ask it of you. Rafidi: Most people know his treatise is one-sided, again the "Nigerian question" begs for answers. Our terms of our confederacy/cohabitation still needs discussion. This ideological differences between both groups will only further polarise the "Arewa" community. In the meantime, sunni or shiite, their elites are living large while the minions are die in their droves. |
Business / Re: If You Have 20million, What Would You Do With It by mickey45: 11:13pm On Dec 14, 2015 |
Eyop: @ OP, you could use your HND knowledge along with some professional advice to seek out high-potential real estate picks. Even if only for buy and hold positions, then go round up your studies abroad. By the time you're done and back, you'd have something substantial to finance/ start up whatever plans you've decided on by then. 1 Like |

2dillu2: It's not a "wailing" thing, the OP was simply asking when in history any majority of nigeria's population agreed that Arabic (even if not islamic) inscriptions should feature in our "National" Army's isignia. I 'd rather you re-examine why it comes to you as "wailing". Issues are thrashed when their knowledge comes up. He's just pointing our attention towards a hitherto unminded feature. |

Career / Re: OANDO Staff Appeal For Support And Urgent Intervention In The Mass Sacking by mickey45: 10:39pm On Dec 10, 2015 |
ruffhandu: There are extant laws, that govern retrenchment et. al in Nigeria's business space. As such, "telling an employer how his company must be run" doesn't figure here. My take from here is to ensure to read thoroughly and infact have a copy of the signed offer and acceptance letters before resuming at any job. Such that when the employer tries to play foul like Oando's currently doing, you'll at least have something to fight with. |
Politics / Re: Fayose Offers To Pay N5,000 To 10,000 Underprivileged Residents Monthly by mickey45: 3:24pm On Dec 09, 2015 |
greatiyk4u: Common sense or not, that's why they voted Fayemi out. The present Ekiti state's inhabitants obviously care more about their stomach than a future "they might not even be around to behold" They even have a proverb for it and it translates into "Dried and crusty dog-meat is sweet, but what do we eat while waiting for the fresh-dogmeat (fat and all) to get dried while roasting. So he's in short giving them what they really want. 1 Like |

See how right the dead Fela is still. This is not to say the man isn't trying, but as things stand, he's just leaning the ropes again and I promise you he'd spend the next two to three years doing so. They're still coming to terms with extant realities, yet Nigerians' expectations are high. |

Truth always comes out one way or the other, you can hide it, bound it up, or do anything you want with it, but it always finds a way to rear up its head. So the truth will always come out. Yes it may take time, but surely it will. As for IBB and all the other military heads and national leaders still living, posterity's waiting. As some tribes will say, "the dead is dead, let the wicked who killed him live for ever" |

Unless confirmed evidence of them thumb-printing and casting ballots or their voters card showing their real bio-data is displayed, nothing disproves an argument that the so called "underaged voter" are just standing in for their parents or some other adult. Not saying OP is lying, save almost all comments are mere conjectures at best if the other possibility isn't invalidated |
