kingphilip:Sparklered, spark, spaaarkle, sparkRed, sparklered.... U're a Nigerian indeed, wetin u dey do for lagos? U dey terminal leave ni? |
Feex:Can you give any run-down of the total cost for such online courses? |
yorubadelta:Why please? |
yorubadelta: |
Truckpusher:Ok |
Motolank:That one person can't do something doesn't make it impossible for everyone else. So he might be saying the truth. 3k (wey no b naira) is somewhat on the high side bt people (especially intellectuals) have causes they care about. Depending on d person's life experiences (if it's someone whose lot also got bettered by other people. What I've noticed in the way we do charity here is that folks will help you (seeing your zeal to succeed) and they'll support. Then rather than forget abt it like d Bible said n focusing on bettering their lives regardless of that so-called assistance, some of them will just sit back, make poor choices n wen ur own hustle's beginning to pay off, they start to demand even though u're also just finding your feet and wld like to tie something down first. Yet you must attend to those needs else u'll b labelled ingrate. The solution I see then is to budget. The Bible did say " he that giveth to the poor lendeth unto the lord" Not supporting being ungrateful but we're to learn from one another's experiences. And I'm open to diverging view(s). |
Truckpusher:SYH? Why? Btw, I've been meaning to reach you o! |
Goldenboy007:I'm looking at you use "LOUSY" and wondering if the person who said "we complain in others what actually is in us" wasn't right after-all. |
bravolad:Exactly what I plan doing. With God's blessings, I'd rather set someone up (knowing d shame n hurt that comes wt having to depend on someone for something u knw u'd have no probs wt if u'd made d right choices before) And task them wt d responsibility of seeing to their own upkeep. Moreso, anyone who comes from that axis say d person's cousin/brother etc wld b directed to go assist d former in enlarging the business whilst d former also takes care of his assistant. That'll put an end to increasing demands from that axis. God help us in the country. For some families, a single persons breakthrough is what lifts d others out of extreme poverty so one can't totally ignore them. |
astrodome:Now u're really learning ha! Ha!! Ha!!! |
marqueetim:Free! Haba!! Because none close to you was unlucky to be there that day? No let South Africans hear u abeg! Dem dey beef us already. I hope you'll say to "free" boko haram guys too? Abi now, d person wey house fall on top, and done wey dem bomb (mind u d bomber sef dey die o!) No b die d both of dem die? Even though I do not support witch hunting? I'll nevertheless still want probity to determine if he's been slack in his maintenance of the structure (in which case he shd be fined) or if the fault came from d designer (in which case he has nothing to fear if he's not complicit in any circumvention of design rules. |
repogirl:Very Hard and sweet. Both the round and Shortcakes |
leemah4u:Accommodation wt no pay or no accommodation with very small pay. Both are common all over Some Ogun corpers aren't too better off |
leemah4u:Ogao! The thing's kind of common o! Some guys at Sango aren't better off. |
Kolade354:Didn't PMB promise we'd be rid of "Boko Haram" by two months into his tenure? Do you see that happening even in n next four yrs? Make una dey suffering believe dis people. When Soludo said all their head-swelling campaign promises won't fly. Some people here were busy castigating him. They forgot his status and the wealth of facts he's open to. Whoever promises anything without telling how he'd achieve it is just a joker. But rational thinking hardly wins wen d gullible masses have been hoodwinked (via_ sentiments, hatepublicity etc.), Plato died an unjust death, so did Jesus and so many others. They were killed by the very people who've benefited the most from their industry. Politicians hardly know the full extent of the problems they're promising to solve until they get into d thick of it. |
Electronzeez:See german Quesion!!! Asiisi!!! Odaa naa o! Leemah4u: bawo ni? How's Owo treating u people. Don't become an "Owo" lady o! |

Gurgle:I'll only advice you check to see what part of the factors were your fault. If there's any, what'll you do abt them? The ones that are not your's, how will you surmount them? Plus next time you're not up to an exam, it's better u see ur course-adviser n tell him to help you de-register the course. Better to re-write d exam without having it affecting your CGPA adversely. Btw, I schooled in Federal Uni. N this is assuming the system's similar. Its also not d end of the world. Was it George Bush or Bill Clinton that said To the first class students; "those of you who received honours, awards and distinctions, I say well done. And to the C students, I say you, too, can be president of the United States. Finally, you weren't re-directed to go start over another course, I had a classmate who was returned to 200 level in another faculty wen his failure got too bad and that was in final year of a five yrs course. |
TheMaleBoss:"Leave with pay is a bond " means you sign a legal document with the Uni. Admin that u'll serve a minimum No of yrs serving wt them after your M.sc programme (Usually 5-7 yrs depending on school). This may put you at a disadvantage cos wen u're done with your programme, u might find a juicier package (job abroad, etc) esp. If your certificate is "correct" and then you'll have to encumber yourself in legal wrangles wt d school admin. But if you go without pay (which might b best if u don't really depend on d money), the university recognises you as their staff (means you can always resume whenever u finish and are ready) but shd you find better conditions elsewhere (which I wld normally pray you do) there'll be no problem in you taking it up. That's my understanding of it but read on for further enlightenment Congratulations though.... |
tanimola22:I'll appreciate a similar help too |
afroxyz:Do you mind shedding more light on this pls |
Chiefpriest1:Neutralize? Perhaps I'd have to continue (verbiage held me back before) Had we encountered increased dollar inflows (through increase in sales or price of Crude) stopping subsidies (if we follow the same line of thought) might not neccessarily spike d rate. Furthermore, increased Real Sector lending means some hitherto imported items will be sourced locally (which is what the GEJ-led import substitution drive was aimed at) lessening the need for dollars to import them plus we might even get to export some which wld further increase dollar inflow. But, with the CBN's continued drive (owing to the anti-keynesian leanings of its 2 recent Governors even though they have their "plausible" reasons) to muzzle inflation and keep it at single digit, (not with real growth but rather through cash hoarding) The increased money in circulation occasioned by the re-entry of "unsubsidied" naira will only make the CBN further tighten its credit crunching noose on the already ailing marginal companies around, sending some off the streets and forcing nigerians to have to import those products which hitherto were available. Of course this translates into increased demand for the Dollar. Like I opined earlier, individual companies need only increase their prices if it were a completely free market. But public Outcry + political armtwisting and blackmailing will force the government to issue "decrees" on prices and since some essential raw materials have to be imported, the profit is reduced as production costs get increased. Hence his (Dangote) fear of subsidy removal, is not for subsidy's sake but rather because of its often unseen ripple effects. Like you said though, his lamentation is for his profit and hardly out of any altruistic motive. BTW, me thinks he's just trying to influence public opinion, all these can be nipped in the bud if we plan adequately and act accordingly. But with such a move goes the competitive edge (cut throat monopoly) that he and others like him (Otedola n co) have had on our lives No thanks to our collective (money craze induced) irresponsibility and putting square pegs in round holes. GEJ would have had two "sides of the same coin" views to form "balanced" opinions from if Iweala and Soludo had been in his cabinet at the concurrently. I wait to see who PMB lays his "Job creation" responsibilities. Though I'll like to see Soludo or Basil in those roles. As for NNPC... I pray God grants him wisdom there. Do thanks for the onservation (I'm a scholar like I think you to be too) |
Chiefpriest1:Real Businessmen hardly make such frivolous spendings, na Polithiefers and "Big" public officials E.g. Abj (Dpr+ NNPC+ Governors + top Ministry) Ogas sabi waste money wey no b dia own in d first place. |
bbeautylik:Corrosion. Management Tech. , PMP, Facility Mgt. Tech., and of course H.S.E.. I'll reach you on whatsapp |
Chiefpriest1:I might be wrong on this but the single understanding I have of Dangote's statement for now is this; Subsidy removal might mean the Government now has more money in its coffers, saving the money (say in the Excess crude Account) seems the way to go but being the spend-it-all nation we are (remember Iweala-NGF brouhaha), The excess money must find its way back into the economy (no thanks to FG revenue allocation to states, FG projects and of course Brazen Looting) On the other hand, the framework's not there yet for a big surge in real production/manufacturing start ups which means people get encouraged to buy d tiniest of things from outside, and whatever little things there are in the country will have so much money pursuing it and being the consuming nation that we are Like I said earlier, Our importing tendencies will no doubt get a boost and without a corresponding or better still overriding increase in crude oil sales ( via any or both of volume exports and prices) this consequently increased dollar demand will only act to spike up the cost of getting a Dollar In a normal setting, businesses only need increase their prices but there is a limit to this owing to competition and Political-cum Government interference as well as CBN's determination to Stifle Real Sector Financing (which is where real job creation and prosperity is) They (CBN) continually do this (in the name of curbing inflation) by hiking Banks' CRRs (Credit Reserve Ratios) which albeit keeping the %-inflation in check, also reduces the funds available to the real sector. Like I said, I myself look forward to better enlightenment by the economics Gurus here present |
Elantrecey: Just thought of Checking on you? Hope you're good? I trust I.T is being fun? |
Jarus:Thanks... I was wondering.. Btw did you get my former msg oga mi? |
PETERiCHY:That's my worry with Oando's volatility. Bt with their recent divestment, wld it b wrong to expect a spike? |
Jarus:Can people ever enter them without having to falsify age if the person is over-aged already? |
amosade30:Are u stream 2 if yes, did your redeployment work? |

Flets:A man lives up to his name. I hope the "General" in PMB isn't taking over? Who wakes up n just "bans" imports? Where except in totalitarian states does that happen without due consultations with the stakeholders? I'm sure Emefiele wld've squirmed when he got the directive but his job's at stake here so d man no get choice. I assume this was his "I'll make one Dollar equal to 1naira" n maybe he's trying to wean us off imports. Let's see how things go though. Except, some things're necessities to some industries and import substitution is not done militarily. When GEJ wantd to drive for local driilling mud consumption, he didn't jst go ban its importation since that wld only create an artificial hike in it's price, causing a lull in Exploration. Rather, policies like d Local content were enforced and Sme's were encouraged into such areas with Sure p funds n all and now u have that area being helped now. This "fire-brigade" approach to things is nothing but impunity n even though we need some of these measures, some select industries shdn't b made scapegoats of. A president is a father, and no father kills one child just so that another one wld live. I'm ok with it though, so long as d ban wld b total n not that some select people wld now b given sole control over their importation. |
