Education › Re: How Did You React To Your First "Carry-over" In School? by micki83(op): 10:23pm On Dec 12, 2012
Victoriousvic: Uhm...i wanna find out something about this carry-over.... when you retake the course, does your new grade improve your GPA?
Well,I'm not so sure about d authenticity of this (or whether it's d same system for all schools),but I think ur eventual grade for d course ur had to re-take wuld be an average of ur previous and present grade.thus,if u had,say,30 in a course, then make 70 after retaking it,ur official grade wuld be d average of 30 and 70,which wuld be "50%".

Education › Re: How Did You React To Your First "Carry-over" In School? by micki83(op): 6:56pm On Dec 10, 2012
kokosheen: My first, second and third carry-overs were my fault.. Too much club things, too much voltron arrangement, believing everyone in our Voltron-crew was like me, wicked lecturer (re-arranged the exam hall at the last minute grin).

When I saw my results with F-s, I just buckled up in subsequent semesters and got good grades (graduated with 2.1). I knew it was my fault and was just disappointed in myself. It even gave me the opportunity of dropping stragglers from the crew.
Lol@ "voltron arrangement". Thers always strength in numbers...until d lecturer seizes ur blazing sword.Muahahahaha!

specialguest: Am i the only one thinking addictiv's uncle might be "Siena"....

quote author=addictiv]I have a billionaire uncle that only allows his wife or daughter to sit in front. no other woman sits in that seat even if its just him and another female and she is a relative, she sits at the back as long as he is driving......don't really understand the guy but that's his ish....for me no big deal anyone can sit in front as long as its not a child below 12, and must use the seat belt. but when i find a wife every other person takes the bench if i am driving...safety first!!!
Hahaha...u might be onto something,u know.oya,addictive and siena,confess!

It's probably becos ur uncle is a billionaire, that's why he allows his wife sit in front...(I'm guessing his financial status was relevant to d story, that's why u had to mention it,no?)
Education › How Did You React To Your First "Carry-over" In School? by micki83(op): 6:07pm On Dec 10, 2012
Failing a course, and thereby having a "carry-over" is one of the most harrowing experiences one can hav in the university (especially if it's a first time).
The first time I had a carry-over,I felt so devastated.I kinda knew I wuldnt do well in d course cos it was a practical exam and I didn't finish b4 the alloted time was up,but I didn't expect an "F",and wen d result came out,I was like: "what? Not even an "E"?",lol.I later re-wrote it and passed very very well sha;(ask anybody!)

Crime › Re: Politician Bites Robber To Submission by micki83(m): 7:52am On Dec 07, 2012
This story is too funny sha! So ridiculous,I can't stop laughing! Imagine jimo, who "used to strong" crying like a baby.his colleague no even help matters at all (I didn't know it was ordinary bite that was scaring him).hahaha! Another priceless quote: "don't u know chritmas is coming...";that's sufficient and plausible explanation for every crime commited around xmas period.
This story reminds me of one I read sometime abt 2 thieves trying to rob a man on a bush-path in lag.d man turned out to be so powerful, that at d end of d day,he seized their gun, seized their motor-cycle,and seized d money in their pocket.one escaped but d other was nearly beaten to death by d man.he somehow escaped and went to REPORT 2 THE POLICE!hahahah!
But com o,why did dis politician bite jimo's p.rick nah?he didn't see other body parts to munch on? Not fair o!!!!

cap28: nigerian society is becoming so decadent and immoral - now anything goes, transvestites, homos.exuals, transgenders are now becomign the order of the day in nigeria, where are we heading to with all of this decadence? who is pushing this negative agenda? it must surely backfire because it is alien to africa and its people, we need a revolution in nigeria so that all of this western imported junk can be wiped out of our system once and for all in order for us to build up from scratch and become a nation to be reckoned with.
undecided undecided undecided
Um...what are u goin on abt? Are we commenting on d same thread/topic here?either I'm on d wrong thread,or u are.
