For instance the phone i use now "Huawei G-power" has a little touch issues like 7% of the time and the power button got worn out quickly but I've gotten used to it. Though, while in school, I was opportuned to undergo few courses in Disaster Risk management, Environmental Impact assessment and Geographical Information Science, which all fall under the sphere of Environmental management. My undergraduate thesis also centered on Environmental Health.

Also, I stumbled on Novelle site. I got to know that they offers HSE 1, 2, 3 certification courses approved by UK SHE. Based on one of the expert here insistence on joining ISPON/NISP first before going further in HSE career, I wanna ask, is the certificate issued by UK SHE on HSE 1, 2, 3 equivalent to one issued by ISPON and is it recongnise by ISPON (will it be considered when one want to join ISPON in any of their membership cadre).

Personally, I prefer HSE courses toward obtaining UK SHE flouted by Novelle because the course structure is more organised, well structured, globally recognised and a little bit cheap too (it is around $150).

Let us settle this issue of tithe once and for all.

Those who preach and promote tithe succeeded to a large extent by instilling fears into the people so they won't question the rationale behind tithe and tithing.

As I have said earlier, because Jesus was not from the tribe of Levi, he did not demand a tithe. His descent from the tribe of Judah makes him ineligible to receive tithe, so why do we Christians (Christ-like) receive tithes.

The focal point of the tithe is that IT IS ONLY MEMBERS OF THE TRIBE OF LEVI who were ordained to receive tithe. The Levites in return as demanded by God were to give a tenth of that tithe to the priest (Read Numbers 18:25-28).

Modern-day pastors represent the priest in the old testament. In Number 18:1-21, God commanded the priests to take their brethren, the Levites to come and assist them in the temple with certain restrictions and he gave the priest their own inheritance of the offerings brought into the temple, of all first offspring of both animals and humans. To this end, any Pastor collecting tithe is only usurping the inheritance of the Levites because God did not authorize the priest to receive tithe. Going further, if modern day pastors receive tithes as they are now claiming ownership of tithes, then to whom did they give the 10 percent God commanded the Levites to give to the Priest.

Payment of tithe as ordained by God is to only a group of people, and only one group... The LEVITES. It is categorically stated that the tribe of Levi, one of the twelve ancient tribes in Israel, and no one else, had the authority to receive tithe. (Numbers 3:1-10,24, Number 4)

People are quick to refer to Genesis 14:20 and Genesis 28:22 when Abraham and Jacob practiced tithing. However, we should understand clearly that Abraham practiced practices tithing willingly and voluntarily devoid of any divine injunction. He also gave a tithe from the spoils of war and not from his produce. Jacob's tithing, on the other hand, was a promised he made to God if God will bless him.

Modern-day Pastors are totally disqualified from receiving tithe because there is no OFFICIAL body of men functioning as the Levites.

No one has the right to choose to whom they pay the tithe that God has ordained to be paid to the Levites. So it is not only the receiver of tithe that disobeys God, but also the payers.(Numbers 16:47-54, Deuteronomy 10:1-9) You cannot do that which God has not appointed you to do, those who tried it are severely punished, some with death. 2 Samuel 6:1-8, 1 Chronicles 13: 9-12.

Burnt offering and tithe are practiced in Judaism. So why leave out the burnt offering and hold on to tithe.

Preachers, Prophets, Pastors, G.O's should heed the teaching of God and refrain from taking what does not belong to them.

Kindly permit me Sir, I do not intend to recommend any training school for NEBOSH. I would rather other persons who have successfully passed through their system, give a review. Or you could visit their teaching centers and see things for yourself.

Regarding first aid training,I haven't seen a full training in Nigeria. A lot of first aid courses I see cover CPR and a few other things. My First Aider Course was done overseas and covered a whole lot of aspects, I thought I was being trained as a medic/nurse instead of a first aider. I latter got to learn that in that country, IT WAS COMPULSORY FOR STUDENTS OF PARTICULAR DISCIPLINES TO LEARN FIRST AID. IT WASN'T AN OPTION BUT A DUTY TO COUNTRY/PUBLIC. It was also a punishable crime for a first aider to pass by an accident /injured victim without rendering assistance. We do not attach such importance to matters like this, hence our not so good curriculum in Nigeria.

I really can't vouch for any trainer here. Kindly do an internet search and then make a choice.

With regards to first aid materials, In Google search just type ''First Aid Course Textbook Pdf'' and search. You will see a lot of resources you can choose to download and read on your own.

Environment. I would suggest Environment. As a microbiologist you can focus on Environmental Microbiology and how you can use the knowledge for impact assessment/studies, waste management and pollution control. However, if you have done basic HSE, you might want to add this as an additional strength. That you can also fit into Safety if need be. This can be a selling strength to market yourself during your interview.

The DPR laboratories for now do not run samples on environmental matrices. These are done in third party accredited labs. The DPR only runs analysis on Crude and Refined Petroleum Products in their Labs. There is no DPR lab Nation wide that analyzes Soil, Water, Air samples for environmental Characteristics & Parameters yet.

Bro, I hope Novelle Center is a good training center for NEBOSH IGC cos I plan to train with them come next year. Share your perspective; and if you know of a better training center pls share. Also, I would like you to suggest a good center where one can train as a "first aider". Tried RED CROSS in Oyo state (Onireke, Ibadan to be precise) last month. they told me about how to register as a member but not about the training. They said there is nothing like that in their office.

ISPON accepts only it's own GHSE and HSE level 3 alone for registration as a member. The only exception is if you already have a NEBOSH certificate, you may be considered.

I honestly cannot recommend any trainer in Lagos at the moment. As a matter of fact a lot of them claim to offer IOSH Courses, but these are all spurious claims. Please anyone who claims he is IOSH Certified to offer IOSH Training should show you their approval/permit/license to do so. A lot of these so called training schools splash logos copied from the internet on their websites and certificates just to attract students to their training program.

Secondly, some may claim that they have their course programs approved by IOSH. If they claim this then let them also show you the approval from IOSH on the courses they offer which they claim is IOSH Approved.

I will advise that you go to the IOSH Site and go through the TRAINER DIRECTORY. Visit it and try to find the list of approved training providers in Nigeria. This is also advisable for other courses like NEBOSH, BSC, etc.

I saw this group and their training brochure. However, I hinted that you still need to personally verify their claims.

For now there is really no complicated recognition of certificates/bodies in Nigeria for the HSE profession which includes HSE Engineering, HSE Sciences, HSE Management etc.`

What is generally known in Nigeria is ISPON/NISP which is like the ''COREN/NSE'' of HSE in Nigeria. That is the main professional body. In terms of certificates what we know also is HSE Levels 1, 2, 3 and NEBOSH IGC/NGC or Diploma. There are other courses of course,but the aforementioned are the most popular.

One thing you must note is that as a matter of fact this knowledge of how the profession is structured is only known by few companies that even have an idea of how the profession is organised. A lot of other companies do not know much about this structure of the profession and the various levels of competency.

My advise is this. First be a member of ISPON before getting any other thing. This has always been my opinion. GET ISPON/NISP, then if any body likes, he can go to the moon and get a certificate from Aliens. BUT AT LEAST, HAVE ISPON/NISP and ensure you have done at least HSE Levels 1, 2 ,3. Any other additional thing you want will be added advantage.

Nice one. Firstly, the English test really has nothing to do with whether you'll be admitted or not. Just score at least 40 that's all.
No test from the department. They process admission based on your transcript. Although, applicants with First class and Second class upper are considered first. If anyone amongst the admitted applicants refuses to accept the admission then, they fill it up with others on the queue. God factor is very important too bro. What is the bible? The word of God! The paper is not what matters, it is hat is written therein. If the tablet bible contains same words as the one written in the book then I don't get what the fuss is all about. Stop emphasizing paper jor. Me I prefer tablet sef, some of the apps have multiple versions all in one app plus commentary as well which is not common with hard copies and when you find hard copies with multiple versions plus commentary, most of the time, they would be very big and inconvenient to carry about. I use PC bible for my personal bible study. its so effective for me than hardcopy bible. Happy Sunday
