BafanaBafana:Why on earth will they leave Mr Sung Hua Ho out of the deportation list? Is it because he's rich? |
I kept asking myself why?! Why?!! Why?!!!... Before I knew it, I started shedding tears. Devil is really wasting destinies. Ise esu ni! |
FEAR of death is killing you; and if good care is not taken, it might eventually kill you (if not directly by suicide(as you suggested for yourself), or indirectly by destroying your vital organs as a result of drug abuse) Why will you be taking antiretroviral drugs for the virus you do not have? ... On a more realistic ground, I was like you sometimes ago. I abused antibiotics (fighting the bacterials that were not in my blood); that stupid move left me with a chronic ulcer that later raked my thousands of naira. Fight your fear by saying these words to your mind and heart: *Even if I die, as so what? won't all souls die? *A lot of people are HIV positive; with properly management, they're still living a healthy life *I don't have the virus, why should I fear? NOTE: unless you overcome your fear, even you do an HIV test a thousand times and the results are negative, you will still not believe the test results. Ultimately; kill your fear before it kills you. Peace! |
Omonigeriarere:Realistically, I sometimes get up to 12,000 naira in month for running my savings accoiwwa222unt. I think it's a good deal. |
Have you considered U-gold account of UBA? |
If riches and wealths accumulation are vanity, poverty and adject poverty is also vanity... He wouldn't go with his mansion, in the same manner, the one-room apartment owner will also leave his behind. It is a mediocrity spirit and acts to see the rich as enemies... Noone is is rich by magic! |
Better... It's so painful to see people stealing ones intellectual property. Shame on the celebrated thief. It's evident that you own the song with the perfect delivery of the masterpiece. Up you go black face. 2face is a celebrated thief. |
You just lost the respect I have for you. For typing and broadcasting that nonsense, I will boycourt your songs or anything that has to do with you for one year. I doubt you are the one writing your songs because your response to general issues always lack good contents. What is on your head that is too heavy for you to speak up against killings of Nigerians but too light to respond to the person that spoke against killings? The idiot even distanced himself from Nigerians by stupidly saying "your people". Oponu agbalagba! |
This is my first time ever to verbally disrespect authority and erdely persons. I am like this in my comments because I cannot find any place to keep my griefs and disappointment in Nigeria - her people and government. He has travelled to all regions except Australia since he bacme the president of the 10th world country - Nigeria. Yeah! I called Nigeria a tenth-world-country because I could not match her with 3rd word countries like The Philippines, Qater, Dubai and even Ghana that I have once visited in terms of systems, infrastructures and general development. It is so shameful that he has visted a lot of countries where roads are well networked and perfectly good, electricity is stable and steady, hospitals are well equipped with modern machines and yet; cannot incorporate their working systems in the "shithole". God will not forgive all the leaders in Nigeria, Pastors and Imaams; and even you and me for not acting up for the betterment of the country we can truly call our own; except we change and embrace good ptactices that will turn Nigeria around. "Revolution" as Showore suggested and championed would have worked perfectly; had it be that every Nigerian could afford traveling to countries like SouthKorea, China, Netherland, Philippines to see how those countries are, and, compare them with Nigeria. I am very sure no one will be satisfied with epileptic power, cemetary-like hospital and deadly highways after the mind opening trips. Nigeria is neither growing nor stagnate; it is disheartening that Nigeria is retrogressing with increasing rate. Someone said that Nigeria was better in 1965! What as shame! |
It is painful that the system is so crazy and the government is so mean to the citizenry to the extent that almost everybody in my country is now with a poverty mentality... Even in the Philippines cars are not seen as a big deal 'cos with just 50,000 naira, you can have a brand new and continue with 15,000 naira monthly payment till you pay it all. of course, there is Grab option of helicopter that anyone can just hire... and pay by distance covered. May God deliver my dear country. Amen. |
SAVE THE MUSIC Nigeria entertainment industry is highly saturated with a lot of artistes with diversifying styles of presentation. The musical aspect of Nigeria entertainment is of major concern due to the influence is having on youths, adults and even those at the affairs of power - the politicians. Music played a major role in passing a strong message to the society and was aggressively used in fighting for the rights of the people; as it reflected in the works of Bob Marley, Majek Fasek, Sikiru Ayinde and a lot of others that people tagged as "freedom fighters". It is unfortunate however that the contemporary singers in Nigeria have completely derailed from being a good influence like the singers in the 70s and 80s – that had their lyrics balanced to reflect then society concerns and to inform the public of the excesses and abuse of power in the government. Can we actually say that the music aired by the radio stations in this dispensation is rich, balance and lyrically sane enough for the public? Are the songs making any positive impact in the society? Can the depressed find hope and life from those songs? Those are the questions the concerned and disappointed people like me are continuously asking. What we hear and see now is the glorification of frauds, encouragement of rituals, teaching of robbery and presentation of sexual perverseness in music videos; yet they are welcomed by the society who graciously blesses them with a “million views” within short hours of their release. What is the government doing about this menace and degradation of musical standards? I keep asking myself. Of course, I am aware of the toothless dog Films and Video Sensors Board administrators that have reduced their functions to fighting against the selected few who decides to standout and sings against the bad leadership and corrupt practices of the boss that appointed and employed them on the platter of political affiliation and never by merit. What will any Board do to the musicians that wine and dine with the boss and even formed coalition of musical supports during the political campaigns? Putting a ban on the songs openly used on the campaign grounds would just be to create a tension or a topic for the concerned public to argue on; that is one of their ways to keep us busy anyway. My agitations go on and on. In fact, it has no limit as all the groups, agencies, institutions and religious gatherings that were known for shunning the bad presentation and representation have all forgotten themselves in the crowd of moral and good music decadence. The best place to know of any trending song and latest slang; is the church where the choristers are singing in word for word - songs that used to be tagged a “worldly song” while the pastors cheer with slangs dropped by the musicians in their lyrically failed songs. With their poorly delivered songs and perverse lifestyles mostly showcased in the music videos and social media, the best the financial and educational institutions could do is to shower them with high pay performance fees and bless them with six to seven digits naira endorsement deals. Why would the few singers that still upon all the influences stand on their feet to drop lyrically sane and morally standard songs not consider jumping on the bandwagon? There is limit to patience they say; after all, money and fame should be a reward for being a hardworking musician. Will the music survive this cancer that is fast eating up the good, sane, lyrically matured, and morally presentable part of her? Will the like of Bob Marley, Fela Anikulapo, Lucky Dube, Michael Jackson and ample numbers of others that worked so hard to write and sing good songs that touched and still touching lives look back and give a satisfactory nod to the junks that the contemporary musicians are giving to the society? What will the coming generation say about the music of the 2000s? Will they also result to jumping off to the 70s and 80s songs before they could listen to music that would positively impact them and reasonably reflect their conditions? It is as if we were living in the past because that is only place we could find the right songs that can relax our minds, ease our worries and motivate our spirits. Unlike us that have our playlist saturated with “songs of the dead” so as to have reflection of good-message-filled, we need to speak out loudly and have the future enjoy the good music of their time. In an interview section with one of the “A list musicians” in Nigeria, he said “I have to change my styles to what the people want. If I don’t give them the club songs, I will not trend and maintain my steady income”. The simple revelation from the interview is that the public demand is the motive behind the frugal words, crimes scenes and illicit drugs display they so much incorporated to their audio and video music. The point is; if they claim that the public is the reason for the degradation of good music, of course! The public can also be the savior to the innocent good music that is fast dying. It is high time we appreciate good music by patronizing only the artistes that can deliver lyrically normal songs which is capable to renaissance good values and norm amongst youths and adults alike. The Music and Videos Sensor Board should also bury the eyes-service-syndrome that has eaten up the true reasons for her establishment and be at the vanguard of sanitizing the music that is of recent littered with junks. My thoughts…. Adeyemo, Olufemi |
Here are my instructions for my family and friends as they prepare for the presidential election. Even at that, I seriously have the voting in mind and I shall be following the process on the net. Kindly accept my advice in picture format. Thanks

If they can reject renewal of visa for owner of Chelsea Football Club, they can reject anybody. There, they don't need your money (black money)... They respect law and order. |
I have not read through the pages of comment therefore I don't if someone has said my mind... Notwithstanding however, I'll have to drop my mind. NOTE: this is just my view as a young man that's very new in marriage as well. Before I married, I got these tips from my failed 8 years relationship with my Ex... The tips are: * in choosing who to marry, LOVE (emotional feelings) is not the only criterion to consider...- one can love someone and yet not compatible with such a fellow * whoever you want to marry must love you, love the people that you love(family), love and respect your religion and must also not negatively affect your personal dreams and vision in life. When those tips are not completely found in your proposed partner, I am saying that you're not compatible with the fellow. On your case sir I have this to say; "when a man or woman married a good spouse(compatible), he or she is complete; but when he or she married a wrong spouse(incompatible), he or she is finished. It's worst if a man marries a wrong wife. From your story sir, you've hooked already and the only way out of this hook is to seriously and personally pray your way out. As you embark on the prayer time, I'll strongly advise to remain calm and show no sign of violence because if you do, you'll be completely finished. How I wish I can have some personal words with you. May the lord deliver you and your family. |
Hmmm... My Yoruba people would say " maa s'oro si Lagbaja, lai mo ohun ti waa be l'enu e" (I will verbally abuse or insult Someone, not knowing how insultive his/her response would be"... Boy Freeze successfully ridiculed himself. The lady typed and I paraphrase "upon all your grammatical strength and tenses agility, no book (even primary one rhyme) to his credit. What a slam! Boy freeze! Me I no shall be type English oooo. If you cross my lane, epe ni maa se fun o. |
I used to have problem with tithe or any message on tithe... And my argument then was that "if tithe is very important as pastors preach it, Jesus should have talked about it throughout his teachings"... A day came and my pastor preached on tithe and I quoted a portion of the holy bible; which is " Matthew 23 verse 23 New Living Translation "What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore the more important aspects of the law--justice, mercy, and faith. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things. I have not be a very faithful fellow when it comes to tithe but I don't have any problem with it anymore. Of a truth, giving (either charity, offering or tithe) is a gift of the spirit... Not everyone has it. If one is not giving, the person lacks the spirit. Above all, givers of any kind or form will never lack. Thank you. |
dvkot:Hardly will a deal be established in advance country without a concrate terms and conditions in agreement. They believe in rule of law and they are of opinion that legal fight is potent and effective. And to answer your question, depends on the term and condition of the deal (musical collaboration). Back then in Nigeria hip hop world, there was nothing like establishing terms and conditions before embarking on collaboration... That was why they often accuse one another of musical theft ( like it happened with Aydotcom and Terry G on pass me your love song). They now have right to sing another artist's song at will once they contribute to it. I hope a message is passed. Thank you. |
GoggleB:What do think is the reason Drake did not show in Come closer video?... If I pay the guy GOOD MONEY, he will feature in my wack song. |
I am about buying a property for my brother in Ibadan. According to the provided documents by the family, I saw that the land was acquired in 1953... And I also saw a receipt of the grand rent payment to the Local Government. If we buy the property, does it mean we have 35 years to be the owner of the land before the government take possession of the property based on 99 years lease length? Please I need clarification on this. Thanks |

coolhamid:I've been to the Philippines... Most of thier hospitals are like five star hotel in Nigeria. Nice people, good roads, uninterrupted power supply, portable water for all and lots more. Try and visit the third world country like Nigeria and you will likely spit on green-white-green |
Cyberfavour:The first time I heard "esu pofo" by Olamide, it didn't take me time before I discovered Dbanj inspiration in the song... Olamide even acknowledged the entire db records in the song. |
horexy:I hope you knew that a sentence can be simple or compound in form. That sentence actually ended with a full stop. |
horexy:Am I here to read the post or to comment on the post? Oh! I'm commenting already. Am can actually start a sentence. |
For almost three weeks now, light has not blink. I'll definitely miss this kind of noise free area when I return back to Nigeria a few days time. Can government please give us stable power? |
bilonaira:Well, I'm here with a tourist visa.... I got invitation letter from a relative that works in Philippines... Then went to their embassy in Abuja to apply for visa. I don't know if the processing will be different if one is applying for any other type of visa ( student, business and so on) I hope this piece helps in a bit! Thanks |
Visiting the Asian Medical Center today for a medical check up made another clear evidence that the medical care here is superb.. The environment is like a 5 star hotel... One can hardly smell bad odour. And the service is cheap. Consultancy fee is just 500 peso (about 2000 naira)... Expect more pictures tomorrow. |
Weeks before taking my flight from Murtala Mohammed airport, Lagos... I had read several materials on the net just to get myself familiar theoretically with the country. I left Lagos via Qatar airline and it was all nice. In just almost 2 hours stop over in Doha, I wondered why the best airport in Nigeria was as that low aesthetically, poor maintenance wise and terrible relationship between the travellers and the law enforcement agents. My 9 hours journey from Doha, Qatar to Manila, Philippines was not as interesting compared to the 7 hours flight from Lagos to Doha. I didn't like the seat allocated to me and the plane was just too big... One has to queue up in order to make use of lavatory. Philippines here I come! Landing safely in Terminal 1 airport in Manila brought me a great relief from long hours of sitting... The customs and the immigration officers on ground were hospitable and carried out their duties with high level of maturity and respect. Philippines is a third world country in ranking; the same category with Nigeria. I still wonder why Nigeria government cannot provide us with uninterrupted power supply, readily available portable water, pot-holes free highways and better medical care when all these are properly put in place by the Philippines government? It's four days now and I can see that Nigeria is far behind this country with little or no resources. ......I'm tired of typing... I would have say more
