OP what is the role yoruba played during civil war? Must anyone share your view? The Igbos had assumed relationship just like a young man always seeing around a damsel and never proposed, the day the girl introduces her boyfriend, the poor boy becomes disappointed.
Any Yoruba soldier will naturally fight for Nigeria like any other from Hausa, Ijaw, Igala etc.
Yorubas never wronged Igbo. Igbos should just stop crying.

Did he join the army just for the money without any thought that he could be called upon one day to lay down his life for his country?
I see in insincerity in this post I can remember some junior soldiers firing shots at their commander for the reason of insufficient weapons and poor conditions.
Upon assumption of duty PMB a general himself had to address this issue, hundreds of Soldiers earlier dismissed recalled. What happened to countess billion received. From GEJ administration?
What happens to some of the soldiers yet to be recalled? Why are those recalled and others not complaining now? GeJ himself cannot be blamed much because certain people were deceiving him for lack of knowledge of the military. PMB cannot be deceived. Do we need a soldier to always rule Nigeria for us to be secured?! Where are those people who got the billions?
Is fighting without adequate weapon part of bravery? It is even learnt the were counter orders from certain superior officers while carrying out operations. I think rather than crucifying our officers we should address real issues: if a soldier is not our president now, things would have gone worse. PMB cannot win this war against BH till he finishes gis tenure. If a General and northerner does not succeed him what happens? Will BH overrun Nigeria? Will we always have Generals to occupy Aso Rock? Will innocent people be always punished?

bilulu:
I read with utmost disappointment how we Nigerians fight ourselves on social media. How a particular region believe dey re better off to another region. God has so bless this nation to d extent dat we need each other. Let's analysis this......
Hausa: They re d great farmers in dis country. They cultivate virtually all we need in dis country. Even life stocks. Other region don't need to pay for import duties to get there farm produce.
Igbo: Whether you like it or yes dey re the producers and marketers in dis country. Any locally made products ranging from machine to automobile re the handiwork of d Easterners. Also like d popular saying wen u get to a place and u don't find an ibo man there pls live dat place cuz its not habitable. Now to the issue of Lagos, whether d yorubas like it or yes d ibos ve contributed to the development of Lagos state. The so-called Lagos market is being championed by the ibos.
Akwacross/Edodelta: U will not argue with me that the country called Nigeria has been surviving on these people for years. The economy of this country lie on these people and it will continue to lie on them.
Yorubas: The only reason why you wouldn't want to coexist with these people is when you don't want the ancestors to answer your prayers. They are the only one in this country dat can provide the teeth of a piton or nail of a lion when requested by the ancestors.
We all need each other in this country so let us continue to live in peace and harmony. God bless my country
Igbos have history of misbehaviour to other tribes. I remember as a young boy of secondary school if you go to an igbo man's shop to ask for the price of anything you are compelled to buy even against your wish. Until a fateful day a soldier in mufti was so treated in Oshodi and mobilise his people to deal with the Igbo trader.

If anyone thinks that people on this blog are just writing behind the scene for cowardice you are missing it. These are things commonly discussed all over Yoruba land. Only a few are opportuned on papers. The Igbos are gradually pushing Yorubas to revolt against them.

Just watch Oba Akiolu's address to Igbo leaders in Lagos. Igbos are about having problem with Yorubas.
This is the danger I perceive, Yorubas will naturally not tell you they fighting but you see results of a fight.
Just wait and see.
PoliticsRe: Attack On Igbos In Yoruba Land: My Take. by MightySparrow:
Jman06:
I read with great "joy" the news about the attack on Igbo traders in Akure. Ordinarily, such news would have left me boiling in rage but I don't know why I did not feel any pity for the attacked traders. Rather I felt like even encouraging the Yoruba's to go for more attacks on the igbos .

An Igbo proverb says that "uku jie agu mgbada abia ya ugwo" , meaning that when a lion suffers from a broken leg, even the weakest animal comes to challenge him to a fight. Indeed, "uku e ji go ndigbo"!. The once brave ndigbo have turned cowards because of their insatiable desire for money.

Immediately Gowon deceived them with the "one Nigeria" nonsense, they became more Nigerian than even Gowon himself. That is why you see them in every nooks and crannies of Nigeria laboring so hard to develop their host communities. Yet what they get in return is frequent attacks from their hosts. They are attacked in the north and southwest on daily basis, yet they have refused to come to terms with the fact that they are not wanted in Nigeria.

Ndi Igbo! " e ji ogwu mee unu ife a"? (Are you people under a spell?). You have the money. You have the MEN. You have the connection. Yet you want to fold your arms and watch Yoruba and Awusa people turn you into a play thing in Nigeriahuh

Ndi Igbo, wake up and militarize your youths and stop taking all sorts sh1t from "ndi ofe mmanu" and "ndi awusa". If you don't do this, be rest assured that all your much talked about "hard works" are in vein because a time would come when "ndi ofe" and "ndi oku isi'' might decide to annihilate you from the surface of this earth and take over all what you have labored to build.

"Otutu okwu a diro na uka mgbede". A word is enough for the wise.
Good we want to see the Igbos on battle field again to prove their military prowess. Idiots like you are pushing innocent Igbos into war.
When you talk about war in Nigeria mention one big name of Igbo extraction. We have big names and conquests of El - kanemi, Queen Idia, Ogedemgbe, Lisabi, Fabunmi Okemesi and other war lords. Is it your Ojukwu that ran away from battle when the likes of Obasanjo, the Black Scorpion and a civilian strategist Awolowo used hunger to defeat your ill - motivated Biafra, flat headed, army.

The days of reckoning are here. Igbos start a fight in any part of Yorubaland. We dare you. We want to see what stuff you are made of.

OP mobilise your people home and abroad. You want to see for once cowards in action.

At everyturn we encounter conflicts and problems with Ibo. This mantra of "reasonable Igbo" is a fraud you all play to disarm your opponents.

Today in Senate Anyawu was probing Fashola on deportation. Can you imagine...a whole Senator picking on a past issue for vendetta. These are ones you want to bamboozle us into accepting as reasonable.

An Eze of Iboland wears crown into Deji of Akure palace. He must be crazy! The Deji wears a beaded Crown.
Do you know what a beaded Crown stand for in Yorubaland? Yet you will push this Eze on us as reasonable.

There is no reasonable Ibo anywhere I don tell my people to stop believing the lie.
Even your Ohanaeze that are supposed to guide and lead are unreasonable ....they tell us they control economy and progress of Lagos and Yorubas are lazy.

We must apply a solution to your nuisance in Yorubaland. We will squeeze your economic stream and compress your growth untill you see your homeland as a refuge and relief from the calamity and packup and go home or find elsewhere outside Yorubaland to go settle.
I wasn't thinking alomg that line. Wearing a beaded crown to Deji's palace is high level of irresponsibility. Still this is one of numerous irresponsible, goat - head Igbos. The are quite many responsible ones. The irresponsible ones no doubt out number the responsible ones.
Thanks for the observation.

Igbos are petty thieves that why they're trying to claim these ethnic groups. Ikwerre, ahoada, Ekpeye, Ika and ukwuanni people are Edos and not igbos. I believe its cos of the Igbo influence they had that's why their language and names sound igbotic.
They are experts at thievery. Did these people also come from Israel? These are not. lost people they know their root.

Igbo people should not have problem in Yorubaland. They have enough in the north already.

The other religion can boast of their God of raising the dead, heal the sick; we kill the living and maim the healthy.

They serve three merciful Gods; we serve one merciless God.

They can boast of NGOs and philanthropic works; we raise BH, ISIS, Al Qaeda to destroy hospitals, etc.
