hallysonia:Kudos.! Everybody here was once a learner. It is also nice to see your determination and resolve to patronize and/or avoid some stocks. But this one principle is key to making money in the stocks market: just follow the money. You will appreciate this advice as you learn and understand more about the stocks market. Wish you all the best |
hallysonia:It is good to read/consider recommendations from people, but make sure you do your own due diligence and be convinced about which stocks to buy. Don't rush to buy just because somebody recommended a stocks. But be open minded. I have read that some people on this platform buy stocks and then hype them so that others can also rush to buy and make the price rise. That is curious and strange to me. So always do your due diligence after every recommendation. |
BabsO2:Three digits look very unlikely for Oando until there is very good news e g. fantastic Q3 results, more oil field acquisitions, higher ratios in the share redistribution tranche 2, etc. Otherwise we have to wait until after the fresh capital raise. |
SonofElElyonRet:I hope this Ellah has not become Oando's junior brother in terms of controversies, doubts, gbas gbos etc |
FalseProphet1:This is who you are....making mockery when people are mourning in sadness and sorrow. Shows the kid of training and upbringing you have |
Apcshit:Be properly informed. Oshiomhole was fighting against the corruption of Air Peace who decided to deny passengers that paid N190k online but decided to allow new passengers to come and pay N250k+ to enter the same flight. And there were many other passengers affected for the flight there who thanked Oshiomhole for coming to their rescue. Stop confusing issues |
ajailer:Wasiu Ayinde has really increased this pride and unruly attitude after Barrister's death and after he was given some chieftancy titles by some Obas. He was like a child to Barrister but now that his godfather is no more, he doesn't feel anyone can challenge him or call him to order, except Tinubu. |
SonofElElyonRet:It will still fly on its own merit when the time comes, after release of results; but the patience and fear while waiting may be too much to bear. This is not a buy/sell advice. DYOR |
naptu2:A very shameful and reckless behaviour. Why must he be the only person to be involved out of many passengers in the plane? Pride goes before fall! |
Deerahone:Good idea, but before you start, it is advisable you know or do a few things: (1). Consult and attach yourself to some of the companies who are already into the business (2). If possible, go on 2-3 trips with them to experience what happens on the road for practical experience. (3). Make sure your car is in very good shape and the documents are always complete 100%. Also get very good extra tyres like 2. (4). For a start, avoid passengers with contraband goods. Ensure you know what they are carrying in their luggage if you don't want to face problems. Most passengers smuggle goods but they may not tell you, so you have to be very careful. (5). Get your passport, yellow card, ECOWAS travel document, international driving licence, etc. complete and always up-to-date. The French countries do not joke with documents. (6). You have to always give something (tips, bribe) at the border and road blocks as you travel. Make sure you hold smaller currency denominations on your trip. The Nigerian officers collect more bribes than others. (7). You have to be very current with the exchange rate between Naira, Cedi and CFA so that you don't make mistakes 8. Try and learn some French language. It will help you very well to communicate as you travel along the route (9).Night journey is usually faster (less traffic) but you must know the terrain very well before you start. The journey is about 10-12 hours (10). ALWAYS OBEY TRAFFIC RULES e.g. traffic light. They will seize your vehicle and penalize you HEAVILY if you violate traffic rules in Benin, Togo, Ghana. They are NOT like Nigeria. (11). Be VERY POLITE and FRIENDLY when you talk to the immigration and police officers of those countries. (12). The French immigration and police officers (especially Togo) are the strictest and most difficult to deal with. They don't listen or accept apology when you commit an offence and beg them. (13). Get some connection with workers in the other big transport companies e.g. Chisco, GUO, GIGM etc. so they can be sending passengers to you. (14). Make sure you are very reliable and keep to time. Most passengers want a driver that will keep to time. (15). Be aware that petrol price is very expensive in those countries. (16). ALWAYS be LAW ABIDING when you travel. Dont go to these countries with the Nigerian attitude of breaking the law and rude behaviour. These are the few things that I can remember for now. I wish you all the best. |
Oladapo89:Who is the useless K1 nonsense to defy safety rules on an aircraft filled with passengers? Can he do such nonsense abroad? |
ediko5:Are you okay? How many other passengers did you see on the tarmac? He clearly obstructed the flight. But I blame the airport security for not arresting him for that foolish act. Very disgraceful and shameful. A man of 68years behaving like an idiot. The pilot should not have moved the aircraft though |
Bigchris01:Is this how you think? Keep on deceiving yourself. So how many Israeli soldiers and military I stallations could Iran kill or destroy in Israel? And how many Iranian soldiers and military installations did Israel kill or destroy in Iran? |
MeezPat:It used to be Sterling Registrars, 24 Campbell Road, Lagos Island. You can still check to confirm and contact them |
Payunsin:If Oando should do another 9-10% tomorrow, then something fishy may be coming up because of the AGM. on Monday. |
megawealth01:This principle is very key but it can only be practised by someone who is very focused and not desperate to impress others or bow to peer pressure! It has really helped me in life! |
SonofElElyonRet:So you knew Abedi Pele too? You must know and understand good football |
obembet:Footballers of different generations. Did you ever know a footballer called Abedi Pele? Only George Weah can be compared to him. |
obembet: |

stockish:So you did "Mo gbo, mo ya'' ![]() Hope it ends well |
stockish:Check their website or recent corporate release. May be they did a private placement or debt-equity conversion etc. |
bolton08:The traded volume was only 5.8m, so it may be a mere happenstance. But AGM is coming up on Monday, so you never can tell. If it gains another 9-10% tomorrow, then something must be fishy. |
megawealth01:Some insurance stocks have relatively attractive P/E ratios |
Meerahbel:Kudos. I am proud of and fascinated by all the African ladies on this platform (apologies to Fela Kuti). E get why |
ZaBaene:Haba! My guy, Just focus on the message, not necessarily the grammar. We all do make mistakes sometimes. ''....he has the physique...'' |
Deppysit:If you are relatively new investing in stocks but you have the funds, it is more advisable to buy MTN(N480) and/or Dangote Cement(N577). They are more stable and pay dividend consistently. Oando is unstable for now, though some believe it has good potentials if the company overcomes its debt challenges. It is for those who can bear the risk and wait for the long term. Not likely to pay dividend soon, but you may benefit from the ongoing share redistribution (bonus). |
TruthU87:Kerp on decieving yourselves. It is only Israel thay knows and ferls what it is facing and fighting in the hands ifs enemies that surrounds it. Other people do not know or ferk it. They can do protest or even jubilate and celebrate like those idiots did Oct 8-15th after the Hamas attacked Israel. |
