Lagos has always been attractive to businesses because of the infrastructure that was put in place when it was the federal capital. It is not because of any state governor.
Democracy has also attracted a lot of foreign investments into Nigeria and Lagos is the preferred destination because of its population and presence of other businesses which had been attracted to the place due to all the economic benefits and previous status as former federal capital.

The contract for the repair and widening of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway was awarded and started by the administration of Goodluck Jonathan. The project was going on but Buhari delayed it for almost 2 years before they continued from where it stopped under Jonathan.

I only found out recently that the upstream assets the company has they were not operator, it’s only with the recent NAOC acquisition that they took on operator status. Not to say they can’t do a good job or have the capacity but don’t a lot of risks come with that?

A regards other operations, I think they struggled with the 20% stake in the JV but should make some profits now with 40% (apart from the huge with finance costs), otherwise there is serious problem.
