The banks have shown that their earnings are matching up to inflation. It seems their journey is pushing towards 10x multiples of the pre-devaluation value. We could see the top ones in the range of 250 by mid next year. Fingers crossed Stay there dey wait for Access at N10-N15. Just believe and be patient |

Foreign Affairs › Re: US Bombs Iranian Power Plant, Nuclear Sites Over Death Of Soldiers by mikeapollo: 10:45am On Jul 22 |
Razzness: Lol! anytime I see this kind of news i just laugh. You see this war of attrition, is exactly the kind of war that plays in Iran's favor. They will drag the US through 5 miles of mud in this kind of war. Iran will burn the entire US gulf allies before they go down. This is a fact.
You see that Kharg Island Trump is ranting about, he will not know loss until he makes the mistake of sending ground troops.
When I even understood the US was not serious was when they burned 100-million-dollar aircrafts to rescue a downed pilot in Iran. So you wan follow pig fight but you dey fear to stain you white cloth. You never ready! Very shallow thinking! So you expected or wanted them to abandon the pilot for a 100m dollar aircraft! That shows you don't understand anything. What they did by rescuing the pilot is worth more than a billion dollars because it is a strong signal to motivate all the rest soldiers and troops who are fighting that they will never be abandoned when they fall into trouble. That is a how a nation is built; reason people from every nation in the world are rushing to join the US military! The most important asset of any nation or military is the human being, not aircraft! |

Raider76: Let's see what FIRSTHOLDCO does today. It was clear from yesterday's trading that effort was made to keep the price from going below 105. I think the price jump was because Ote$ was buying to increase his shareholding. It has now been announced that he has achieved 20.4%. Unless he continues to buy more, the price may not experience any further significant rise in the short term. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: US Doesn’t Have Enough Missiles To Return To All-out War With Iran by mikeapollo: 9:34am On Jul 22 |
smileyoo: Israel stopped attacking Iran, because Iran stopped attacking them, and Israel have promised Iran of a more unusual retaliations if Iran, ever attack them again, hence Iran is keeping to that bargain, there is no need for Israel to attack Iran . The USA, is presently fighting for the safety of Hormuz, while Israel is only fighting for survival, emphasizing that Iran must never have nuclear weapons. after the US show, the Israel show begins, especially if the nuclear issues are not resolved. The target is regime change in Iran, without much civilian casualties, but the terrorists mullahs in Iran, prefer to sink down with the country and the Iranians . forget all these propagandas about the so-called military strength of Iran . The ultimate target is NOT regime change in Iran. The ultimate target is to ensure the destruction and cessation of the nuclear weapons programme. Regime change may help to achieve that, but it is not cast in stone because a new regime may continue. |

nairalanda1: It doesn't mean, despite my story above , that Nigerians and other Africans should violate South Africa's immigration laws and move in without being approved or without having the right visas, just to 'hustle'.
Immigration always affects the country that recieves and the country supplying in negative ways. And while xenophobia is wrong, if African countries had been more serious about development, there may have been reduced immigration. Violation of immigration laws does not mean African immigrants should be harassed, molested, attacked, killed and their shops looted by hoodlums and thugs. They even attack people with valid papers. Incidentally, there are similar undocumented immigrant Indians, Lebanese etc. who are not touched or harrassed by these xenophobic South Africans |

thebargainhunte: Yes, SMEs need cheaper funding, but with inflation still elevated, reducing the MPR now could worsen inflation and currency pressures. The better approach is to keep monetary policy tight while expanding targeted low-interest financing for productive sectors until inflation is firmly under control. The upside will probably begin towards end of the year subject to them being able to show working on meeting CBN requirements. My opinion though A very good H1 result may cause a rise in the price! But if other banks declare interim dividends and Access does not, then the price may stagnate or dip further. |

They are doing similar thing in CIV, Ghana, and Cameroun. The truth is, African countries need to take some bold decisions on how they control their resources and the price at which they sell on the international market. |
