It's now an eye for an eye, a tit for tat Just tell your useless, coward Iran to attack Israel as you boasted earlier and let's see if this foolish commander would be alive to say more rubbish! He could only say this nonsense because US has not allowed Israel to kill all of them. |

KarlTom: I doubt the bolded ... provided the deadline has not elapsed...
The outstanding bonus are in the treasury (not a property of the shareholders...yet). I AGM has authorised and approved the distribution AGM decision has been filed, registered, stamped and sealed at SEC ( like officially gazetted). So I think the shares effectively belong to shareholders. What remains is just the actual distribution to qualifying shareholders.. This is not like shares buy-back by the management |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 4:23am On Jul 25 |
ojeysky: Have they indicated the qualification date for the bonus? Not yet, th is why it's necessary to monitor the next announcement by the management |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 3:11pm On Jul 24 |
KarlTom: There are many scenarios:
They could use a QD that falls before the allocation of the RI shares.
Mr Wale and co could delay the issuance of the remaining bonuses till after the RI so that they can cop the extra RI (from the undistributed bonuses) for themselves... You are right. But if they go the last scenario, will that not create a legal issue for shareholders to challenge them? Because the AGM decision (also registered at SEC) was based on a specific number of OS and shares to be distributed to shareholders |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Satellite Images Show Iran Rapidly Rebuilding Sites Hit By US-Israeli Strike by mikeapollo: 2:52pm On Jul 24 |
FreeStuffsNG: The report, based on a review of satellite imagery, suggested that the speed at which Tehran is restoring its damaged capabilities is the reason why it is continuing to hold its own against the US after hostilities renewed earlier this month over disputes relating to the Strait of Hormuz.
The images call into question the efficacy of the extensive Israeli and US strikes on Iranian targets in both June 2025 and the current round of conflict.
Meanwhile, in occupied Palestine, almost 100% of structures destroyed by Iranian missiles are still sitting in ruins. What source is the 'News''? Lies, Lies! What has Iran done about the almost 1000 people that died in the war? Have they been resurrected and rehabilitated? What about Iran's air-force, navy, warplanes, military installations, generals, top politicians? All destroyed or killed Israel has bunker shelters for protection of its citizens and less than 30 people died in Israel. Israel's air force, navy, warplanes, military installations, military generals etc. are still intact and alive. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Ghana President Mahama's Convoy - Rufai Oseni Reacts (Video) by mikeapollo: 12:41pm On Jul 24 |
DrTee1: There's a lot of deception on the internet sha.
I was in Ghana during the Presidential campaigns, and there were a lot of cars in the convoy. A massive lot.
This video doesn't do justice to it. In the background to this video, you can also see other parked black jeeps. His advance party.
What the video captures is only the final 3 that ultimately brought him up to stage, which happens in Nigeria. When Tinubu goes to the Eagle square, only one car brings him in.
The problem is that our gen Z generation are easily deceived by social media, and is this Rufai of Arise? The less said or written of the man who was threatening traffic officers when he drove against the law, the better... Was the current president in office during election campaigns in 2024? He became president in December 2025. During election campaigns, many supporters and vehicles follow the opposition leader and president, who may not be part of their official convoys |

KarlTom: Going by the antecedents, the QD for the next tranche might have passed
However, we have 18months till the distribution deadline (30 January 2028) so holders can still get up to 1 bonus share for every 3 held.
That's about 33% bonus (or DIV) yield over 18 months... My fear is whether or not the rights issue would have diluting effect on the distribution exercise i.e. if the OS post RI would be used as denominator in subsequent distribution |

You can't be scolding Israel for attacking Iran because you told them not to but then went on to do the same thing later and expect them to be happy.
So let US do what they need to do, Israel will retaliate when it needs to or have you read any news lately of Iran attack Israel after Israel bomb them the other day and trump got angry saying they should have let it slide? He is one of them....terrorist supporter and sympathizer |

Jaakay: Pls any reason for this advise? Should it not be a good thing to buy substantial volume now, to gain more shares later on? What are you thoughts If interested in Oando, it is advisable to keep your units or buy more now, in order to benefit from the next round of share re-distribution bonus. The extra bonus units would help reduce the average cost per unit; could be sold and channeled into other good stocks or projects e.g., I intend selling part of my bonus to buy Dangote Refinery (i.e. hoping the next distribution phase will be announced before the refinery IPO) |

Foreign Affairs › Re: The Truth About What Is Happening In South Africa by mikeapollo: 9:30am On Jul 24 |
idris646: Let it be clear: it's the time the world should know the truth. what’s happening in South Africa is not just about illegal migration. That’s the excuse being pushed, but it’s not the truth. A lot of this hostility is rooted in personal hatred, jealousy, and envy toward foreigners who are working hard and progressing. Some are bitter from failed relationships with foreign partners. Some are angry over financial dealings they agreed to like pawning property and losing it when they couldn’t repay. They tagged it hijacking buildings by foreigners. Others simply can’t stand seeing foreigners doing better than them. Example When they see foreigners in the club drinking expensive drinks than them or driving expensive car's they will be angry and developed hatred and jealousy towards the foreigners. Again they use foreigners for their political selfish interest to gain votes because they know that when politicians mentioned foreigners must leave citizens would be happy and support the politician. This is not about law it’s about resentment. Stop hiding behind “illegal migration.” That narrative is being used to justify something deeper and uglier. The world should know: this is driven by jealousy and envy, not facts. Mostly this jealousy and Envy is coming from xenophobic groups mostly black South Africans. Any foreigner living a lavish lifestyle in a place like SA is foolish or naive! Apart from xenophobia, the crime rate in SA is enough to discourage any sensible person from living a lavish lifestyle, going to clubs to drink expensive drinks etc. Be wise, modest and humble when you live abroad, especially in a hostile environment or country like SA. |
