Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 10:07am On Sep 28, 2014
agaugust: Dude, no engine can break the law of combustion in Physics. Valour frigate releases smoke above the water surface...

"The South African Valour class frigates are the major surface ships of the South African Navy. Their German manufacturer designates these warships as the MEKO A-200SAN class, member of its MEKO family of naval ships.[3] They were designed and built using principles of stealthy design, including the extensive use of "X-form" structure design in which right angles and vertical surfaces are avoided, and techniques to reduce the infrared signature, such as expelling pre-cooled exhaust gasses just above the waterline."

Now that is a stealth warship, yet it releases the heat and smoke above water surface instead of overhead funnel, ALL combustion engines have to obey the laws of physics.

Your Submarine is NOT even a stealth submarine, it will produce enough heat and smoke from combustion engines for ATR-42 to detect.

Submarines use battery power only fully submerged for 48 hours, after that it MUST surface partially to snorkel and switch to diesel engine or else battery runs dead and submarine sinks to sea bottom, ALL it's sailors-crew will die !

You do NOT have a magic Submarine that cannot die !
.
Your post contradicts its self. I'll deal with it this way.

From your quote: infrared signature, such as expelling pre-cooled exhaust gasses just above the waterline

Explanation: The key word(s) there is PRE-COOLED,meaning the frigates cool exhaust gases before releasing above the water.

How many days did the sub stay under water?

agaugust: Britain is a world power, they had a better Navy at that time than South Africa has today.

The British helicopters found and sank Submarine Santa Fe in that same war. Reason why I said submarines get forced to surface many times and that is when they lose their cover and get k.illed by aircraft.

ATR-42 of Nigeria is a NATO standard ELINT capable MPA & ISR dual-role 330km radar range super deadly-highly sophisticated maritime aircraft South Africa does NOT have, not even in your wildest dreams, it's surveillance Radar/FLIR/TV/Data-links capability is equal to 1,000 South Africa Submarines combined in MPA role and ISR roles.

SAAF is 66 years behind NAF...

.
Santa Fe was sunk because of its commander and it was an old sub.

Also keep in mind that the Santa Fe was surfaced not snorkeling.

They couldn't find the T209,which was hunting their vessels, attacking(unsuccessful though) even getting close to 5KM of their vessels without being detected.

This proves how deadly German diesel subs are, within when not in the best hands.

They slip into the operational conduct surveillance on the enemy undetected,at times follow fleets awaiting orders to engaged.

Your ATR-42 is simple maritime surveillance aircraft. You do you call a simple flying turkey "deadly"?

Nigeria has no MIL-STD data link.

iterator24: really? I'll bring it to Soweto, position it in front if your father's house, and test it out..
Are you sure you won't drown while trying to cross Makoko?

But let's not go there. You got any facts?!?

Tired of serving augbus steamy humble pies everyday.

agaugust: Show me source proof of South Africa's own Paveway bomb version and it's range...

.
21Km+!!!!!!! Gripen radar in ground search mode=70km!

Remember the Cytoon system radars?

Targets can be spotted up to 31km away,by some reccon elements. Without vehicles. MAN PORTABLE!!!

Difficult to find and destroyers.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 9:33pm On Sep 27, 2014
agaugust: Nigeria has SBAT-70 MRLS with range of 12km ((((((BOOM))))))

Nigerian army is 3 times bigger than South Africa by soldiers, by artillery, you will be completely surrounded and swallowed up in the middle

.
Weapons deployment to sensors!!!! SA is ahead.

Your matching soldier will run faced with an enemy formation that's mixed, with capabilities ranging from cannons,81mm mortars,60mm mortars, missiles, machine guns,AGLS,MGls to rifle launched grenades.

agaugust: Nigeria's Su-30, Tucano, JF-17, T-84, T-72 . BM-Smerch 30 are also classified. Equation balanced.

.
Prove it please!!!!!

we proved it to you that SA boats have radar.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 9:26pm On Sep 27, 2014
agaugust: Then your ANC republic Submarine has NO radar since you refuse to prove it's range with just one source.

.
All you have to know is that the Heroine class boats have a radar.

You think SA is Nigeria augubugbu!!!!! SA weapon systems are different and packed with equipment "BUILT IN AFRICA FOR AFRICA".
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 9:23pm On Sep 27, 2014
Henry120: Not just the Army, The Navy and presidency also use him. It ain't propaganda, as all his stories are confirmed verifiable facts, un-like your half baked defenceweb.
LOL grin grin grin grin grin cheesy

Aawwwwww what a shame man.

SA has a lot of defence sites and blogs, which we participate in for mature discussions.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 9:20pm On Sep 27, 2014
Henry120: You get dumber and dumber with each comment. The agreement clearly states, the Hull of the vessel would be built in China, towed to nigeria, with 50 - 70% of the job completed at the Navy's up-graded dock-yard in port-harcourt.
Nigeria builts no stealth vessel.

SA installed the radars, missiles, main guns and sensor& weapons system on the frigates here at home.

What you're doing today!!!! SA did it years ago!!!!! The Chinese won't let you build a small OPV?

Watch and you'll see SA building another OPVs here!!!!!!!!! cheesy grin cheesy cheesy cheesy grin

agaugust: Your anti-aircraft gun has radar of 120km range ?

What is the firing range of the gun itself ?

Wow ! please show us proof, then you can shoot down the moon !

.
The Twin barrel guns are guided by a radar with a range of 120km!!!!!

Layered air defence. Another two different radars are to be integrated into system.

You thought the GBADS project was a Dream? grin cheesy grin cheesy grin cheesy grin cheesy cheesy we won't shot the moon, but your spy balloons and satellites cheesy grin cheesy cheesy tongue tongue tongue

.
You ignored my first paragraph? Be prepared to wet your pillows with tears.

Be prepared to bust your fingers lobbying for your army to get a CRAM system.

SAAF paveway=20Km+ range!!!!!!!!! Can knock out almost all air defence systems in sub-saharan Africa,#SEAD

agaugust: Show us proof.

Nothing evades FLIR when that target produces engine heat. Nothing evades a camera when that target is visible.

Are your over-rated submarines spirits and demons ? Fool grin

.
Engine heat? From submarine? grin grin grin grin cheesy cheesy grin cheesy grin

Do you realise it is statements like this why other Nigerians never take your ideas seriously? You're such comedian.

You post before finding facts.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 9:01pm On Sep 27, 2014
agaugust: Every diesel engine in this world produces heavy heat and enough smoke to be detected by FLIR.

Physics textbooks have NOT changed, go read combustion engines. Dull science nation of ANC mugus grin
.
Ok!!! Explain to us how the Valour class frigates manage to not release smoke?!?

Are they boats or vessels?

You should ask your self what happens to gases and heat released by modern diesel subs. You misinformed I'd..ot.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 8:58pm On Sep 27, 2014
agaugust: The British Navy in 1982 ancient times did NOT have any ATR-42 Surveyor class of Nigeria's sophisticated ISTAR-MPA aircraft grin

.
They had better navy than your navy today.

But couldn't find a single,crippled submarine.

Your ATR-42 is a simple maritime surveillance aircraft.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 8:56pm On Sep 27, 2014
agaugust: SANDF Ratels are old outdated 1980s Bush war relic IFVs. Their 90mm guns failed against Cuba's ordinary T-55 tank armour in Bush war, their Ingwe missile today has only 5km range.....Nigerian army infantry M40 anti-tank rifles have 7km range....1,000 Ratels heading to early grave !

.
You forgot the are many versions of the Ratel and have been upgraded.

You forget the: Ratel 60,Ratel 20,Ratel 81!!!

SA mechanised infantry are nightmare I see.

South Africa has the M40 too, mounted on the Casspir. ((((((((BOOM))))))))

The SANDF also has the Type 63 MRLs with range of 8km.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 8:46pm On Sep 27, 2014
agaugust: I need source proof for all the above claims and maximum range of the submarine radars. Why are you afraid of we Nigerian's? Please give source for all your OPV-submarine data I requested since 3 days now, you cannot answer me....fear + trembling grin grin

Desperation. And fear of the unknown.

Anyway, here is your Jeep 4x4 mobile version of SANDF Starstreak missile mobile catapult on the road..

It part of a system. And doesn't operate individually.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 2:23pm On Sep 27, 2014
agaugust: Olifant tank is an obsolete production and purchased by South Africa first batch delivered to SADF in 1957 grin grin

T-72 tanks first entered service in 1973.

Be careful about calling other peoples' equipment old, South Africa is a worse victim now that this thread has changed and tables turned in Nigeria's favour with new 2014 weapons purchases.....better mind your language .

Upgraded T-72 tanks carry missiles and laser jammers.

Learn to use google if you cannot use your head
.
And SA bought them.

Even upgrades them, including missiles in the upgrade.

T-72s are rubbish!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The last impressive tank to ever come out of Russia was the T-34 MBT.

agaugust: Reuters new giant of France invited Beegeagle for live interview on Boko Haram war, other foreign media do it. Nigerian army uses Beegeagle's photos officially and state clear acknowledgement of his works

.
Yes,and unicorns are real!!

You just admitted your army uses him as a part of its propaganda campaign. Your military can't do a proper PR work?

That they resort to bloggers? grin cheesy grin cheesy grin cheesy grin grin cheesy grin grin grin cheesy cheesy grin grin cheesy grin cheesy cheesy grin

agaugust: No single NATO ship went to sea bottom since SAN has fired NO SINGLE torpedo in the last 60 years grin grin
.
No single NATO ship detected the SA sub.

The Nigerian navy has no torpedo!!!! tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue

From Brazilians,NATO,Uruguay to Argentina ships get sunk.

From Sweden where SA pilots downed many jets at an unbelievable ratio to NATO ships being sunk!!!!!! Amazing for a small force, with financial difficulties.

So Nigeria is building no stealth OPV? grin grin cheesy cheesy grin cheesy grin cheesy cheesy cheesy shocked shocked shocked shocked

I just love Chinese deals.

Augubugbu see!!!! How you're just blowing hot air here? And nothing concrete?
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 2:02pm On Sep 27, 2014
AugustineAgain: After every 48 hours your Submarine must surface-snorkel for many hours to recharge battery or else it will sink. That is the great weakness of all diesel submarines.

Those many hours of surface battery recharging is what gets submarines into disaster.

ATR-42 of Nigeria has ultra-Sophisticated equipment for detecting very tiny objects on water no mater the weather or rough sea even in a very heavy clutter environment. It has radar, FLIR, and TV spy camera.

Your snorkeling submarine runs on diesel and releases heavy heat and smoke from it's diesel engine exhaust pipe into the open air for many hours.....Invitation to death by NAF !
.
You don't sleep at night I see. You thought by proposing your dreams here, and saffers agreeing them will give you desperately needed slumber time?

Nope!!! Your dreams are nothing but rubbish.

How days did the SA sub stay under water on its way to Brazil?

The Valour class frigates use diesel but don't release even a small puff of smoke to the air.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 1:56pm On Sep 27, 2014
AugustineAgain: South Africa has no CRAM capability until year 2020.

No army drives armour around without air defense, Roland has radar on ground with 18km detection range, Gripen cannot launch guided bomb without being seen by Roland because your guided bomb range is only 15km.

Your air force is detected by our army before it launches anything.

NAF will also challenge SAAF in the air, so what bullshiit are you writing ?
.
Radar coverage doesn't mean your missiles have that range!!!

SA twin barrel guns are guided by a radar with a range of 120km!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your argument=Trashed.

You'll be butt hurt when I started posting images of upgraded GDF-007 guns soon. Which are CRAM capable. shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked

Just wait!!!!!

The Gripen radar in ground search mode can detect has a range 70km!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The paveway bomb has range of around 20km!!!!!!

Your Roland missiles are dangerous to use, they'll blast your soldiers into pieces.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 1:49pm On Sep 27, 2014
AugustineAgain: ATR-42 can turn off radar and use FLIR or TV camera.....Your submarine has NOTHING to counter that !

.
Radar and other sensors !!! Dude, you don't the Heroine class subs I can see!!!!!!! They evaded detection by the P-3 orion. One of the best Maritime surveillance plane.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 1:44pm On Sep 27, 2014
AugustineAgain: Fact is that SANDF has NO capacity to deploy more than 4,000 soldiers at any time, according to your war history in the last 60 years grin grin
.
More than 6000 were deployed last year.

SA called more than 100 000 reservists,to show Cuba,Angola and their Soviet allies, that the next battle will a divisional scale one.

How many troops did it take the SADF to reach the gates of Luanda?

The submarine doesn't release any "heavy heat and smoke".

Like I said: They get into the operational area hunt alone or helped by other military elements, attack and conduct surveillance.

When done they pull out to recharge.

ARA San Luis did it. Getting as close as 5km of British vessels!!!!!!!

SANDF submarines have NEVER fired one single torpedo in the past 60 years grin

Pakistanis?

Can they fight? India has been making them to bend over since day one.

I'd rather train,as this is the case with the SANDF train with the Indians.

And sell your Paki masters weapons.
