AugustineAgain: Nope, nothing classified in old version Type 209 submarine that many country's already use for decades.SA version is different and parked with highly advanced systems. Desperation? Are you now scared augubugbu? Just know they have radar and radar warning systems. And stayed 5 days under water when heading to Brazil, cause of storms. |
AugustineAgain: The world blames South Africa for the mess, and SANDF army chief admits his country is a bad war plannerSA said: we go in destroy,Seleka and follow up regional AU force comes. A battalion,Oryx and Rooivalk helicopters,Gripens,C-130s and support elements from signallers to medics were already deployed. They chickened out of it. That isn't our problem. In mission in CAR can't be described as a "war". |
AugustineAgain: You should post the facts to prove your claim of "every regional force will have it's leadership".Again running away from your initial claims. East Africa will have its own force.(Kenya,Rwanda,Uganda etc) Ugandans are actually one of our biggest allies, they even trained MK soldiers. It was them last year who gave the SANDF a base to operate. They're also "regulars" in SA. |
AugustineAgain: SANDF bought British Starstreak hand held anti-aircraft missiles with the stupiid 1km altitude of a Catapult....perfect junkThey bought the LML version not MANPAD version. It operates within a systems. |
AugustineAgain: We have Lynx anti-submarine helicopters in reserveDiesel submarines are DEADLY!!!! The submarine can go to the operational area to hunt, attack and conduct surveillance. Pulling out to recharge its batteries after a long time somewhere. Come back to attack again!!!!!!! Detecting a periscope is difficult, unless the when the ocean is calm. With rough conditions like such as the waters around SA,waves make it extremely difficult. What are going to focus on? Hunt an elusive sub? Or try attack surface vessels? |
AugustineAgain: .2 APCs there,20 MRAPs there,2 Tanks there!!! Nothing like 238 Badger IFVs!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do people even know SA might purchase the IFVs like the Iklwa,Mbombe or RG41 for other army units like artillery, engineers and air defence artillerym |
AugustineAgain: Nigerian navy has been training regularly on Pakistani navy submarines for several years. Posted often on this forumPakistanis? Can they fight? LOOL Well Saffers hone their submarine ops skills with real navies like the Brazil,Argentina,USA,German,Britain etc |
AugustineAgain: Grab your phone, call hell fire and ask this man Shekau....So?!? What's funny is we nor Nigeria know who's "Shekau". So no one will confirm if the terrorist leader is killed. My question is: WHO'S SHEKAU? He'll probably pop again defiant and challenging your vigilantes. All you can do is find dead bodies and compare with pictures from the videos, the terrorists group released? |
AugustineAgain: South Africa has never deployed more than 4,000 Soldiers in a war in the past 60 years till now. That's because we have proper operational planning. We don't just throw numbers to overwhelm the foe, which mostly results in heavy casualties like Nigeria in Liberia and now NE. |
AugustineAgain: Try rescue your Rhinos at home first...Anti-poaching ops are showing results. While in Nigeria Lions are facing extinction, cause they're being hunted for "bush meat!!" It is worse in Nigeria!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
AugustineAgain: We have Lynx anti-submarine helicopters in reserveNothing to counter it. It has a radar warning system. |
AugustineAgain: Mi-35 Hinds have chaff and flare counter-measures to waste your hand held Starstreak missiles.Layered air defence. The twin barrels guns will down it. How's an APC,Tanks etc going see an incoming paveway bomb? You wanna get your n...ts smashed again, when it comes to CRAM? |
AugustineAgain: Nope, Beegeagle is known by the Nigerian military, the navy officially partners with him on anti-piracy campaign with an open letterBecause your navy officers are stup---- |
AugustineAgain: What is the range of your sonar and submarine radar and is it for sea search or air search....or your radar is a toy version for Hollywood?I can smell, hear, feel and see this trap. One word: Classified. |
NaijaPikinGidi: First send them for preliminary fighting in CAR.For? The UN is deploy a force there. Blame the regional block and AU for the mess. |
AugustineAgain: [size=14pt] South African army to be under command of Uganda.Every regional force will have its leadership. And that has not been sorted yet. Don't conclude without facts. |
NaijaPikinGidi: Patches and MikeZA, one and the same? You wanna provide facts? Expect to be engaged if you come here and make claims. |
NaijaPikinGidi: Someone has finally and grudgingly admitted that Nigeria owns more military purpose helicopters than South Africa.No. Unless you wanna provide, unknown facts to the debate. |
denisfidha: Transport and heavy liftig- KAFNice pictures mate. |
Centrifude: Lol Nah I highly doubt that its a real operation our guys don't actually use the Uzzi they only train with them, kinda like that whole thing of learning how to use different weapons just incase you encounter them during operations. They use anything. They have massive stocks assault rifles captured from naval raids. I think those images came from the special forces exercise in Angola. |
Henry120: Keep up with this current rhetoric in your fantasy land, let it get to a diplomatic level, and see our diplomats change things for you, so quickly. No Rhetoric. Fantasy land, that gets people arrested with suit cases of money. Nigerians are so ignorant, delusional and with a sense of over confidence. This always gets you guys into trouble. Your military and politicians highly underestimated BH,only to pay hefty price in bl....... Mali was a disaster But you won't hear single, bloke being critical about the apparent rot in the military |
Henry120: It is going to be a sad sad day for south-africa. This I can assure you.The same military grappling with BH? A movement that went from AK-47 rifles to capturing land with company of bigger formations? SADC=SA shield and Spear. |
Henry120: Does the basic model come with a secondary MG for supplementary fire? I don't think I've seen any with a Secondary asides it's main cannon. All versions have secondary armaments. Another MG can also be mounted on the commander's hatch. |
Henry120: This is the Hogwash you get feed in South-Africa....... Pathetic country. The same bullsh1t your fantasy dreaming journalist throw up and you swallow, hook, line and sinker. Sit tight, don't move and don't try provoke them. The Saffers are coming!!!!!! Diplomatically, through the media(PR),strategically, militarily, economically, technologically, infrastructure!!!!! We are on the move. African leadership |
Henry120: Yeah, the second photo. I guess it's the Ingwe ATGM.The are four variants. 1. Fire support.(GI-30 gun) 2. Mortar.(M6 60mm long range mortar) 4.Missile.(Ingwe anti-tank missile). 3.Command(GI-30). They're all fitted on a single design turret. |
patriot4: what do you call the MI35M ?It might not even be a MI-35M. |
patches689: 1. Proof is in the artical. As Africa's leader, it wont be hard to pull offFree bombs against a moving target? Well we know free fall bombs are capable but not effective against warships. Unlike torpedoes which break the keel of the ship, sending massive amount of sea water in,inevitably seeking ship. In case of normal free bombs, they penetrate the ship's structure from above, before donating. It takes time for the ship to sink,in some case it might even limp home or its company formally abandon it. Unless luckily the ship's magazine is struck. To attack ships you'll have to fly amazingly low,to get a better strike. Exposing your self to the ship's defence weapons systems from 76mm naval gun, missiles,CIWS,cannons,RWS to machine guns and if desperate assault rifles by the ship's company. |
agaugust: BwahahahaWorry not African brother, cause your big brother from the South is coming to rescue you. ![]() The South African Army will be on standby from December 1 to deploy as part of the African Union's African Capacity for Immediate Response to Crisis force. Currently 1500 soldiers - including from the infantry, artillery and armoured divisions, engineers and medics - are preparing for combat in some of the deadliest hot spots, including fighting Islamist terrorists in Somalia, Mali and Nigeria. http://www.timeslive.co.za/thetimes/2014/09/26/gearing-for-war |
agaugust: [size=14pt] Navy warships don't fire missiles on pirated ships dummy, you are to rescue and save the pirated ship, not to destroy it with missile!Nigerian sailors aren't comfortable with their weapons. NO REAL NAVAL STUFF!!!! Anti-piracy? just wait until we are chasing pirates a stone throw away from Nigeria ![]() |
agaugust: Show us proof of sea search radar on your submarine and tell us it's search range, I know of it's I-band radar, show us it's for sea search...Andrewza claimed it was for detecting enemy aircraftNo need,as Nigeria has totally nothing to counter. Surface search!!! It can also do that. |
agaugust: The SAN Valour frigate that visited Lagos last time, did it have permission or it was on independent patrol and entered Nigerian navy base.....#Self TrapKeep dreaming dreamer. Hopefully one day you'll wake up to unfortunately find saffers building a naval base in your back yard. ON THE MOVE!!!! UP!!! WE GO!!!!! |
South Africa.
