There was no such thing called Nigeria in 1945,your inexperienced army was founded in 1960.

Britain took people from one of their colonies today known as Nigeria to fight in Burma,mainly because the terrain was rough and men from that colony could carry stuff like ammo,food etc on their heads. Meaning no cars would be needed.
