Henry120: Another round of Un-confirmed reports, we've been on this road many times before. besides, I don't see how a frontline fighter would help Nigeria or any other nation for that matter in COIN/CTOIN.
Yep,Nigeria already has a fighter capability with the F-7. A lot of stuff can be put on hold.

Hmmmmmm Apparently there has been a lot of "SU-30 jets activity" in Russia. From the Chinese SU-30MKK to the Russians receiving new SU-30SM a while back and took another delivery of SU-30M2 recently. I'll try check a little bit more chaps.

patches689: I seriously hope the navy replaces the gpmg's on all vessels with the mini-gun.

The dual mgl's could be a nifty addition to the recces... I have a vision of those mounted on a hornet... And it is magnificent
Remember the shady deals last year regarding the mini-gun? But wouldn't it require large amounts of ammo to be carried in the Hornets? Since the bloody thing is thirsty for ammo.

jteku: SU-30 with NAF roundel sighted in russia
NOOOOOOOOO!!! The JF-17 block 2 would've been a better choice if you ask me. Unless they're(SU-30) procured with French or other western nation avionics. I'll check with other "aviation spotters".
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by MikeZA: 6:39pm On Aug 06, 2014
craziebone: those Augustas do not carry arms. What are they meant for? Just to ferry Navy chiefs?
Machine guns can be mounted on them. They're normally used for patrols, launched from navy ships they enhance the capabilities of ships.
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by MikeZA: 6:35pm On Aug 06, 2014
craziebone: why cant we get the Apaches or the Rooivalks. They carry missiles, i believe. They also fly lower and at a sower speed than jets. The have night vission capabilities making them good for counter insurgency. Why cant we just get them? Thay have guns also.

Henry120: It means that behaviour is Alien to this military. It is not an act carried out by it's personnel, the same thing I've been saying all afternoon.
You want us to debate the usage of the word "Alien". Your soldiers are committing war crimes. I told you months before that this is a job for secret police units not the army. Remember: "Hearts and Minds"?
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 7:37am On Aug 06, 2014

#SANDF Data-Link Is Not Operational tongue tongue

.
Even during the president's inauguration there was an operational centre. Every operation means informations is exchanged through data links. Are you 5 years old? #Childish.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 5:56pm On Aug 05, 2014
AugustineAgain: Show us what SANDF has achieved with it's data-link.

Nigerian navy/air force data-link has been relaying pirate ships data from platform to platform online-real time 24 hours a day all over the gulf of Guinea including your Angolan SADC area of influence leading to the arrest of many pirate ships in international waters .

South African military data-link has surely broken down due to maintenance problems and lack of funds....even soldiers are being retrenched today.

#SANDF Data-Link Is Not Operational tongue tongue

.
You expect me to respond to this childish post? LOOOOL. Find something better to ask.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 4:59pm On Aug 05, 2014
Henry120: Dummy, I was pointing out that we don't use that rifle.
Your rebel force as proven by the seriusblack thread, are receiving small arms like those from machine guns to RPGs. No standardisation.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 4:56pm On Aug 05, 2014
Henry120: To investigate, isn't the same thing as confirmation.
From the statement: "Much as the scenes depicted in these videos are alien to our operations and doctrine". Meaning those are Nigerian soldiers. Your military spokesmen playingdown how often such acts are committed by your military.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 4:42pm On Aug 05, 2014
Henry120: Dummy, I was pointing out that we don't use that rifle.
Your army confirmed it. They're Nigerian soldiers. Dummy.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 4:37pm On Aug 05, 2014
Henry120: Why do peeps frame others up in the first place?

I've become a joke according to you because I fail to sympathise with terrorists?

Lmao.

*when did the nigerian military begin using chinese TYPE 56C? I spotted a Type 56C in that video by a person in uniform. It is not a rifle used by the military.
Your just confirmed that the video is of Nigerian soldiers committing war crimes.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 4:33pm On Aug 05, 2014
Henry120: They are only recognised when it's Africa. Doctor as much image as possible, present it as fact.

Rubbish.
"Oh,we are attacked because we are African". "These organisations are biased". Your soldiers are ill trained and committing war crimes, all the small scale wars Nigeria fought have been characterised by atrocities and your armed forces breaking the rules of war. Pathetic. Trying to be. Sri Lanka?
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 4:23pm On Aug 05, 2014
Henry120: There are no nigerian military personnel involved in slitting throats of boko-haram suspects.
Video evidence.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 3:52pm On Aug 05, 2014
Henry120: Neither do nigerian soldiers fool.

However, it is okay to murder 2000 people, just murder them with shells and bombs.
1.You capture a suspect------»2. He needs to be taken to court. You're even making videos what's worse. Nigerian soldiers and state sponsored militias are slitting throats of "SUSPECTS".
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 3:48pm On Aug 05, 2014

Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 3:21pm On Aug 05, 2014
Henry120: You're a dummy, no offence.

There are clearly 2 different laws for 2 different types of people.

The isrealis have murdered 2000 civilians in 30 of fighting in gaza, and you want to compare it with the counter-terror operations in the north-east.

We have seen over 1500 images of troops in the north-east conducting COIN/CTOIN operations in a professional manner as you would expect of a national army.

The terrorists who amnesty international are defending have murdered more than 600 civilians this year alone. In many case, troops rescuing villages have been ambushed with help from the villagers they are trying to protect.

Baseless accusations like we see today are always expected, it isn't new.
Nope,Israeli soldiers aren't slitting throats of "SUSPECTS".
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 3:07pm On Aug 05, 2014
Henry120: Nigeria has a comprehensive biometric system, we are only expanding our data-base with the National I.D card.

*All sim cards purchased in nigeria must be registered.
*There is drivers license
*Number-plate license

*utilities and bank accounts can also be added to list of available pool of biometrics to pick from.

Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 2:57pm On Aug 05, 2014
Henry120: @akwasi, the nigerian army carries a made in nigeria AKM, a mordernised version of the AKM. The nigerian secret service user tarvor-21 and it is by far the best intelligence service in africa. What do you guys have in ghana?
@ thize, there is no doubt that the south-african military is the best in africa. nigerian military photo's are hard to find, but judging from defence budget @ 2-3 billion dollars over the years, only a small fraction of countries, lets sy 2 or 3 ( south africa, egypt) are better than nigeria. With this years security budget at over 6 billion dollars, you can't tell. The nigerian military has all the equipments shown in your photo's including made in nigeria APC's and a made in nigeria survillence drone ( amebo-1).
"What you say will be used later on against you,in the high court of Nairaland". Patriotism blinded you? What were you saying here mate? LOOOL grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin www.nairaland.com/newpost?topic=415620&post=10001544

patches689: And now to K.ILL the Nigerians

New camo for Nigerian armed forces

The Nigerian Army says the service will soon get a new camouflage which will make the troops look 'smarter' and more distinguishable from impostors following recent incidents in which civilians and Boko Haram militant group members were arrested for committing crimes while wearing security services camouflage attire.

The change of uniform comes against a backdrop of rising incidents in which small military units have been wiped out by Boko Haram militants wearing identical uniforms and driving vehicles painted in services camouflage in war-zones in the restive north.

Minimah warned disgruntled soldiers against using social networks to spread “falsehoods” about alleged dire conditions in the service and information about military equipment and operations in the three war-torn northern states.

The warning follows revelations from disgruntled soldiers who have taken to social media to voice their frustrations in a dossier of complaints which includes the army's use of poor and defective equipment, lack of reliable re-supply lines, long-duration non-payment of salaries, lack of motivation and lack of operational and force protection vehicles among the reasons for high casualties as the army appears to be losing the war against Boko Haram in the north.

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK

It is evident in the rescue of the two ships off Angola and ghana.

agaugust: No, that photos is Bofos FH-77A of Nigerian army NOT FH-77B version.

We have 25 units FH-77A older version and 48 units FH-77B newer longer range version. Nigeria has total 73 units of Bofors FH-77 both types.

How many times will we repeat this same old topic ? 1,000 times ? Mumu grin
grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin. Confused huh? Nigerian Bofors guns have never been upgraded.

agaugust: Stop calling and anti-aircraft missile a ground attack missile. Show me where DENEL tested Umkhonto in real live firing test against ground targets. A heat seeking missile, how does it strike a cold cement building? Fool grin

I too could say Roland anti-aircraft missile is also an anti-tank ground strike weapon. You post rubbish, no wonder you just got banned grin
The missile is guided by radar. And has been tested against shore targets.
